- In this video i headed out to Garnffrwd trout fishery where i went to do some dry fly fishing in hopes of catching my first spartic trout. hope you enjoy this video!!

i had the privilege of fishing this lake yesterday and boy what a day fishing i had staff polite friendly walked away with 3 missed loads and some good fights from the fish at the lake will defiantly be going back there

Like you I am completely new to Stillwater and fished garn for the first time last week! Managed to get 6 and a spartic! really enjoyed it! Beautiful venue will definitely be going back!

Great video mate. Hoping to make a trip down from Scotland shortly. Can I ask, what was your dry set up on the day, I noticed the olive and blackish running line on your floating line, dobt recognise it.

I have visited there a few times, I wasn’t as successful as you but its a lovely lake and they serve great food. It would be nice if you show the flies that you are using.
Yeah it was a great venue and the only reason I didn't show the flies is because I didn't know what they were im completely new to still water fishing so the only fly I knew were the 2 dry flies I was using

It was a 10ft 7wt,7wt reel, rio presentation floating line and 6lb tippet at 10 ft

There's one place crynant fishery and the black mountain camping and fishing
Crynant fishery is only fly
They have a worm pond there
