I know not everyone thinks of this stuff but I feel like this is one of the most important things about a car long term. Award of Outstanding Automotive Quality Inspection In recognition of exceptional dedication to automotive quality testing, we are proud to bestow upon the “Master of the Creak Test” award. Through your unparalleled method of pressing various parts of the car’s interior with a single, unwavering finger, you have introduced the world to a revolutionary approach in quality control. While some may rely on engineering metrics, material analysis, or durability tests, you have bravely chosen the path less traveled-discovering weaknesses and imperfections by simply listening for that telltale creak under pressure. The subtle symphony of squeaks, groans, and crackles has become your orchestra of automotive truth. Though the connection between finger-pressing and quality may remain a mystery to many, your commitment to this unconventional technique has nonetheless left an indelible mark on the industry. For that, we honor your tireless efforts. Congratulations, and may your finger never tire in the quest for quality!

My 2004 Nissan Maxima does not squeak and rattle like that Merc does, despite having ~225tmls on the clock.
@@vibingwithvinyl Probably does. With same mic.
No one presses in the dash like that
Bumps don't cause that

Toyotas squeak like no tmrw especially Lexus look at the lc500 video it's a creak fest 🤣🤣🤣
I remember when this interior design was revealed in 2016/2017 and everyone was blown away how good it looks.
Looks good and doesn't rattle while driving but if you press on it, it will rattle alot

how, just how do you sit in this thing and say 'yeah, yeah I'm gonna spend 70k right now on this'??

The quality wasnt that bad ive seen worse in newer bmws

Usually it's cold temperatures that make a car's interior plastics squeak more...not warm weather. At least that has been my experience 💁♂️
Better when warm. Worse in cold.
i use WD40 Dry Lube in the cracks to muffle the creaking and its about 80% helpful
That’s something Audi and BMW have always been superior at over Merc is build quality and fit and finish..
Not always. But in recent 1-2 decades maybe.

This has put me off buying a 250d mercedes. Might go for the Alfa guiala now
One of the best decision, just take care not to get dents and door dings, sheet metals are pretty thin in alfas like the japanese cars
