Be aware that you WILL have to replace the batteries in all three units: station, remote temp sense, and remote wind/rain sense. Don't delay -- one of the batteries in my remote wind/rain sensor leaked whatever horrible chemical batteries leak, which fouled the battery contact spring, but worse, also got inside the unit and corroded the wire that had been attached to that spring. I had to thoroughly clean the spring and solder in a new wire to get the unit working again. Also found a leaking battery inside the station itself, but early enough that no damage had been done yet.
I threw mine out 6 months ago, wouldn't reconnect, tried new batteries, trouble shooting , speaking to tech and nothing worked, it just died after 4 years.
Lithium batteries don't last longer, but they do work down to negative 40 degrees F whereas alkaline batteries only work down to around zero or 5 degrees F.
If I am not mistaken it uses the similar interface for the unit. But the wind Vian and rain sensor are different. It's a great unit, had it for about a year now.
The big short fall in this station is that the turbulent air coming off the mounting pole gives erratic and unreliable wind direction read outs. Really poor design.
@@francescodivincenzo5765 According to the developer, the accuracy is all the same on all their devices, they all use the same breeze sensor, which all have the same accuracy.

Nigel Hay is it necessary to have to empty the rain gauge for any reason? Thx
