My husband and I took our 8 yr old granddaughter there in early June (23) and we didn't get to the southern tip of Yellowstone lake. But these virtual walks bring back fond memories. Thank you for sharing something so long lasting.
Thank you for the beautiful preview photos and tour!! ❤ I have never been to Yellowstone National Park 🏞 during my 52 yrs of life!! 🦌 #davesandersstepdaughter
Hubby and I visited YNP in 2020 and I don't remember so many of the pool areas in West Thumb being so low on water. Thanks so much for sharing your walks with us!
Hmm, that's odd. I'll have to see them in person when I'm there later this month, but I feel like they would be more filled with all the rain (and yes I know there's other factors, but still)
What a treat to be able to take an early morning walk in such a beautiful place! I have been to Yellowstone twice over the years, but had to cram lots in a day's time, so I didn't get to see everything. I am pretty sure I saw that area by the lake. Thanks for sharing! What kind of camera do you have, that has the great zoom on it, please?
Thank you! It is a Nikon P1000. It has a built-in zoom lens which is enormous - 3000mm. It makes it possible to video and photograph animals from a safe distance, which cannot safely be approached. In this video I should not have gotten so close to the elk.
@TallSky well, I know what you are saying (I live next to the Smoky Mtns) I don't tlsee that you handled that incorrectly or recklessly. Sometimes we're not given the choice with the wildlife. Lol
Thank you for taking us along on this beautiful hike :) may I ask what camera you use at the end to zoom in on the elk? I have my dslr and various lenses but I’ve been looking for a nice little video camera as changing lenses and trying to manage all the settings when filming wildlife can be quite cumbersome and sometimes spook the animals😅
@@TallSky thanks for the reply! i look forward to watching more of your videos while i walk :) i love hiking but i do not have many trails nearby, so i’m sending appreciation from across the pond in england!
Yes. If you come in summer just be patient, because there will be lines, traffic jams and more people. We all have to be patient, and if anyone cannot be, they should not be there during summer days.
@@journeyhawk1728 We have been to a few National Parks and love the outdoors, but haven’t made it to Yellowstone yet. Making it a priority for our trip 👍

As you probably know, they are known to fluctuate in levels. Glad you were able to see it, and you're very welcome!

Hi, and you're welcome! It's a Nikon P1000, which I use for all bear sightings, etc, as it keeps me a safe distance.

Is Yellowstone worth a visit?
Yes. If you come in summer just be patient, because there will be lines, traffic jams and more people. We all have to be patient, and if anyone cannot be, they should not be there during summer days.
@@TallSky Thanks 👍
Oh yes! As many times as you can! 💓
Without a doubt, yes. Some people get sick of it (relatively speaking) fairly quickly. But others can go dozens of times and never get sick of it
