    This is awesome. I have the exact same problem only when we get really heavy downpours. Definitely gonna give this a go

    I had the same problem while the water was seeping through around the incoming water line. So i just stuffed the hydraulic mix in the hole until it stopped. It mixed with the incoming water. Still holds after a year.

      It definitely works great stopping a leak! Haven’t used it for anything else though. Curious to see what a rocket stove is. Definitely post a video on it! 😁

    Do you happen to know if it works outdoors too❓ Thank you 💜

      It definitely works outdoors. If you’re trying to keep water out of your basement, it’s better to seal the outside of your foundation.

      Yes it dries super solid so it’s fine to use it outside too. I didn’t since I didn’t want to dig a whole in the ground to access it.

    How is it holding up?

    • @dangooddad
      @dangooddad  Рік тому +5

      Great! Still as solid as ever with no leak at all.

      Used hydraulic cement 20 plus years ago on a leak coming through concrete, still fine to this day.

      Agreed. I had to add some after too. So it’s fine to do more as needed, once it dries and if it’s still leaking.

    Yeah but isn't the water just building up on the other side?

    • @dangooddad
      @dangooddad  6 місяців тому +2

      Only when it rains heavy, and it’ll just absorb into the dirt since it has nowhere else to go. So far we haven’t had any more leaks in over a year, and no issues on the outside either.

      Yes, it really is best to seal it from the outside if you can. You can apply this stuff on the exterior, but it obviously is much easier to do on the inside of your house than on the outside, which would require you to potentially dig down several feet. If there's a lot of water in the soil and it has nowhere else to go it can force its way into the foundation and cause additional cracking from the pressure because it's getting into the foundation wall, just not coming out around the pipe. However, if we are just talking about a leak from only very heavy rain that maybe only happens once per year, it wouldn't cause nearly as much of an issue as if it's more persistent.
