It's a beautiful island off the coast of Bali with some iconic landmarks. Places like Kelingking Beach and Diamond Beach are always full of tourists taking in the amazing sights and trying to get the perfect pictures. There is still so much more to Nusa Penida, however. We managed to visit a bunch of incredible places, and one slightly lesser-known spot on the island.
It is definitely a must for your Bali bucket list and something you have to do if you're visiting Bali.

Nusa Penida is beautiful 😍
as Indonesian who have been living here for months its fun and all as tourist/visitor for couple of days or weeks, bcs there is no mobile signal outside Banjar Nyuh Port Area, difficult access to alot of facility, limited food option unless you want to spend alot of bucks to eat in cafe or restaurant which has "tourist price", no public transportation, either you already own a scooter and transfer it to Nusa Penida via Boat, or rent a scooter / driver which is expensive in long terms, and another downside is that everything is slightly more expensive bcs things need to be transfered/"imported" from the main island, so it adds to the cost.
Nusa Lembongan is better option for me, theres still alot of Diving/Snorkeling service, beach, cheaper, good mobile signal and the island is much smaller, you can just walk to reach everything without breaking a leg, downside is that it can be much crowded during holiday season.
Very true, and how amazing that you have been living there for a few months! It's such a beautiful island. And for this video we actually took our own scooter from Padang Bai.

Thank you so much, that is amazing to hear. We hope you enjoy all our upcoming vlogs too ☺️. From Bali to Penida we used the public ferry from Padang Bai, it was a little unreliable and actually didn’t set off on the day we booked to get it. We had to stay overnight and then get it in the morning. We only got this one because we wanted to take our own scooter across.
You can get a fast boat from Sanur which is much quicker and easier. If you look at 12GoAsia then there are a bunch of operators that go at different times and most are the same. We recently tried direct, but 12GoAsia was half the price.
