Good work!!! I did a 30 day challenge 4 years ago. Then a few months later did 100 burpees for 100 days and completed it. Whether sick, tired, sleepy, I got them in. 10,000 burpees in 100 days. Lost about 25 pounds and felt great. My time went from 16:16 on day 1 to 8:11 on day 100. I know how hard these can be. Amazing accomplishment!
Good on you mate that’s awesome - are you still doing them??
What did u eat during that time ?
@@duffers29 He ate food. Damn, you du mb.
@@TrilioniMEeat what u love but don't full 100% only 70% in your belly
I wanted to do something like this as well. But is there an issue of not giving enough rest days for muscle recovery?
This makes me feel better when I do them knowing that someone in better shape still struggles with 100 lol.
Haha we definitely found them hard
Shouldn't feel bad at all. Burpees can and will wreck even the most physically fit people. US Marines to track stars and everything in between
Muscle replaces fat and weighs more. The scale is only useful when sedentary.. When active better to use measurements
Its always very impressive for me how much motivation you spread.
Keep up the great work!!!
Thank you bro🙏❤️
Burpees are the best! I had a heart attack in February, of 2015, at age 44. After I recovered, I began exercising more, and eating healthier. I was in good, but not great shape.
During Covid, I was frustrated with everything seemingly out of my control. In January of 2021, I challenged myself to do 3000 burpees for the month. So much was beyond my control, but I could control whether or not I achieved this goal.
After reaching 3430 burpees in January, I felt so empowered, mentally and physically, that I extended the challenge for the entire year. I did 36,000 burpees in 2021
I didn’t do burpees every day. Some months I did less than 3000. Other months I did more, but I made sure I got to 36,000.
January 1, it took me 14 minutes to do 100. I tracked all my burpees. Here were my personal bests:
50 in 1:52
100 in 5:36
150 in 11:11
200 in 16:06
300 in 28:24
400 in 40:00
500 in 55:48
I still incorporate burpees in almost all my workouts. They keep me young. They help my mind. They make me stronger.
Thanks for your post. Thanks for spreading the word about the power of burpees 😎
Awesome brother MORE power to you
this is amazing. i suffer from bronchitis, doing burpees made my breathing stronger and don't get attacks anymore, not only that, but i got really strong and my cardio is way more than other people on the basketball court. burpees is amazing and bro what you did, is even more amazing. We should all be doing burpees for our entire lives.
@@deadmanlyndon thats great to read men ! Respect ! I can relate to you i am struggling with asthma and started doing my burpees journey 40 days ago i did 550 burpees one time and 350 burpees 2 times some couple times 250 -200 burpees
Most of the days 100 - 150 burpees consistently now i think i am going to corporate a rest day in between
But yeah burpees are really amazing nothing like burpees it builds willpower cardio strength flexibility sense of balance athleticism and they are so fullfilling when you finish them everyday
More POWER to you buddy
@@deadmanlyndonthanks brother. Sounds like you are killing it. Keep up the great work!
@@mementomori5374thanks brother!
Awesome challenge. I've been doing 100 burpees a day coming up on 1900 days. It is just part of my daily routine now. Has helped with muscle development and cardio. At age 45 my running pace is better than ever! Still hate them though lol. Best time was 4:39
4.39 is an incredible time - well done
@@DB-kq8kpThank you!
inspiring consistency, and at 45, I have work to do thanks for the share
@@al3xjthanks! Good luck hope you can work on some daily burpees. They suck but they work
Lol
I call bullsh*t on that... The world record for 100 burpees is 4:27... You would have to be top 10 in the world for that to even be possible
Dope! Appreciate your dedication and commitment
i do my 100 as 10 reps on the minute every minute and rest for the rest of that minute to usually equal around 9minutes 30seconds. Seeing you get it in 7 minutes has motivated me to do the 25x4 and as hard as i can. Nice one lads.
Keep varying the time/rep combo to keep it fun and push yourself. Long steady state, short high intensity, pyramids, ladders....Just keep moving!
My jaw dropped when you said 7 minutes, and it dropped further when your friend did 7:47! I need to try this challenge. We’ll done 👍
That’s awesome guys. I have been doing burpees everyday for the past 621 days. On day 590 I decided to just do 100 everyday. I’m glad to see more people joining the burpee crew. Let’s GOOOO
What're abs like?
Thank you for this vid! You guys helped confirm it for me to start my challenge
I am 59 years old and started doing them about a week ago. (I lift weights 6 days a week normally). I do them in the morning, and the most I can do before I can’t do anymore is 10. I cannot imagine 100! I hope to work up to 25, then 50, and maybe 100!
Thanks for sharing. Keep going man. Good luck 😊
This is the "devil's exercise" and was used as a sort of punishment in the Marines.
But it is highly effective, I do them almost every day. The jump at the end is relatively new to the burpee.
It is an amazing exercise and helps with coordination too. Everyone needs to work up to 100 a day. If that happened, most medical issues would go away.
the MC exercise is called a "bend and thrust" and does not include the jump. Ask me how I know.
Man, thanks for sharing! It's pretty motivating watching you guys do burpees. I'm going to start doing these as well now but I'm thinking I'll probably do them two days a week so my body has more time to recover.
So glad this popped up on my home page! Def gonna start the 30 day challenge! Thanks for this!
Sooooo how'd it go?

That's a spectacular video. Congrats, guys 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Dude...Thanks for doing and posting this. I`ve just got my motivation to do it. It "seems" so easy 😁Thanks, enjoy your life everyone who reads this!
Very impressive. Burpees have got to be the best calisthenic for our body it incorporates all muscles.
hello Mr. Shaw, really like messages of your videos and your always enthusiastic mindset.
Heres idea on the next video:
You could try to learn to play some musical instrument in 30 days or maybe some other form of art. It also takes discipline and dedication to do that and i think thats what your channel is about. It would be definitely interesting to see. People also often wonder how hard it is or if anyone even them can learn that. I dont mean difficult instruments such as violin or cello, but something easy, classic and nice, like guitar, recorder, ukulele etc. Then you can also add it to your videos, i got this idea when i was watching your balli sunnset video and thought how beautiful it would be if during that beautiful sunset someone would play flute on the edge of the cliff.
Well done!
An early start makes a difference.
Reminds me of my piano practice; done 5 minutes before going to bed!
I have done 100 burpees per day several times for different charities the last couple of years. I am one of those weirdos who likes burpees, they are just so versatile and if you only have a very limited amount of time you can still get a good workout in. They never really get much easier, that is the beauty of them.
Awesome job guys. Very inspiring. Wonderful determination
The editing was amazing, much more entertaining to watch than consecutive. Only comment is, you should use the same lighting day, one and 30 because the sunlight is misleading!
Ah yes we realised this after we shot it definitely good to know for next time thanks bro! ❤
Imma do this challenge tomorrow. Burpess by far the best overall bodyweight workout. Its love hate thing
Great video. Loved it. Gonna try this challenge
Love these challenge videos. You should do a beep test/shuttle run test on how to improve your results in 30 days. Unique video I think.
After 30 days of Burpess, he lost his chest hair 😅😅😅 😅.
Like in American Pie, he looks bigger now 😂
Not only changed ur body scale but cardio performance and endurance made a quantum leap!!! Splendid!!!
Well done. MAAN it is a battle of the mind, I never keep with any routine I always lose momentum and quit.
congrats! Thats a great accomplishment. I started doing 6 and 8-count burpees and will do from October to new years..These are also burpees but without the jump and the 8 counts are called "bodybuilders". Will test that. My aim is to do 150 a day 6 days a week with 1 rest day.
Great jobs!!! My respect!!!
Great job! 💪
Laurie's back baby!
I started doing the challenge two days ago. After day two my time had improved from the first day. Looking for to go again tomorrow 💪
Good to see you back to UA-cam !
🙏❤️
Dude it would be very interesting to see a challenge testing if Power/Speed Walking can actually make you a better runner
Hugely impressive.
Am I reading the channel correctly, you're also doing other challenges in parallel? And other exercises (to stay in amazing condition)? So the effect of one challenge is not measurable in isolation. The methodology ideally needs to limit any other changes?
Damn! This is so motivating ❤
Great work guys! Amazing results too! I don’t think you should be measuring weight but fat. You did great!
Great job!!
Very nice challenge guys. Hype! 🎉 Good job there!
Damm that’s insane , nice work. I will try it to.
awesome video and insight 😎
I can actually see the definition in your physique. I took a screenshot in the beginning of the video and then I compared that with the end results. I can definitely see those abs popping out before 30th day session. I am going to try this from today. Great motivation. Keep up the grind guys
he was already ripped as F thou (for normal people standars). but there a huge change between before and after.
You won't.
The tan and the lighting helps.

Amazing video. Thank you for this. And also what watch you wearing? It’s looks so cool. And keep them videos coming.
I came on UA-cam to find alternative of burpess but ended up getting motivated to do burpess, thank you for motivating me for this exercise ❤
7 minutes with a jump is awesome!
Good discipline guys 👍
Nicely done I used to do 150 pushups fully performed everyday for about 35 years
Oh wow, 100 push-ups even harder than burpees I think
@@LaurieShaw burpees are way harder than pushups to be honest. :)
@LaurieShaw Wouldn't you be doing 100 push ups when you do your 100 burpees? A pushup is one part of the burpee.
@@AK-sq1jl Yes and 30 days is a part of 35 years..
@@pavletodorovic4803 Well done Laurie keep it going love your videos
Dope , suggestion for someone not used to doing them is to break it up into 25 rep blocks through the day
This is amazing! Curious to know what was your diet like during this time?
Precisely ..and this is crucial point of his shredding ..burpees next
Doesn't matter as the clickbait hooks you
Well done lads 💪🔥
Very cool. I'll give it a try before it gets to cold outside.
Much respect for this challenge. Is really hard. Im doing 4 sessions per week. Lets Go!
Y'all doing a great job, promise! 👏 Burpees is my favorite workout since 7 years ago aside from squatting (asian squat 😅 ) Doing Burpees is easy for me to sweat it out for a quick warm up . 100 for 5 minutes 😉
I could not do them all at once, have to span that out during a day, well done guys, inspirational.
Challenges you more when you do them at once.
Great to see yourself overcome that barrier full of illusions! ^_^
Yes! Thank you 😊
When i first started doing burpees the last muscle i expected to be super sore more than anything else were my lats. Great jobs guys
Good job fellas
GOOD F'ING JOB GUYS YOUR AN INSPIRATION TO ALL OF US WHO WANT TO BE FIT AND THIN ONE OF THESE DAYS ANYWAY 😁
almost nothing changed, but mindset changed maybe thats the most important thing.
do you have to do them consecutively? a day is a long time and you can do 10 every hour
So, doing 100 burpees per day for 30 days make the chest hairs fall?
😂😂
Power of momentum
Try 10 burpees (or 7,8 or 9) EMOM until you get to 100. Good way to build up to doing 100 straight through or sets of 20 or 25. That 40-45s on, and 20-15 s rest really helps at the start. Then once you can do 10 burpees EMOM for 10 mins (which is tough), then try sets of 20 then 25, until you get to being able to do 100 straight or with very minimal rests
Nice work. I was doing 200 in twenty minutes last year. Need to get back on it 👍👍
ABS -olutely the best personal trainer 🎉.
Got everything on every stage of your fitness tour
well done!!!
Nice one lads. I like doing the 10 every minute top of the minute for 10mins. 100 burpees.
Did 100 consistently whilst travelling for 4 months, was fitter than when Id left.
Burpess are great for anaerobic output.. If you do only burpees for 30days, you'll notice that you can do way more reps of pr's in the gym.. My pull ups went from 15 to 41.. Without training back for 30days
OUTSTANDING. ! 💪
Great watch and well done but man u could've done the before and after pics with the same sort of lighting at least
Burpees are what changed my physique from a 250 lb. slob into a lean 185 with 8 pack abs. My situation was a bit different as I was in federal prison and working out was my life. I would do 4 sets of 100 Navy seal Burpees every morning followed by a 5k it took me 2 years to lose all that weight but the best part is Ive kept it off even after stopping working out all together. Now 5 years later I am still in decent shape at 195 lbs. Burpees are the best. They work every muscle in the body accept for the lats. If you can do the burpee in front of a pullup bar, Do the burpee then a pullup, your working the entire body. Caution this is extremely hard lol. Get ready to huff and puff like never before.
Fit guys becoming more fit by doing fitness. This is amazing!
Dude, shaving 9:47 3 minutes off your time is freaking awesome. Well done
waiting for these kind of videos to comeback
🙏❤️
As an American, "Get In!" Got me. Great job though guys
important is to show the initial and final weight and the circumferences and the weight
We should our weight change at the very end! 😊
I’m on day 22. It’s such a mental challenge more than anything.
well done boys!!!
At 4:26 you mention you guys were at a festival. Looking at the footage, was that the Boom festival by any chance? 😀
beard looks lovely mate
What if you throw in rest days? Does it mess you up since you didn’t rest at all?
Did you adjust your diet in anyway? good job man.
That is impressive. When training for Spartan events I do the 50/40/30/20/10 challenge rotating between burpees, air squats and sit-ups. While you end up doing 150 reps of each exercise the break from burpees is almost like a rest. I haven’t stacked 2 x 50 reps but will try that. Agree the mornings are best….
Great video how tall are you ? You look great i thought you'll weigh less , good job❤
I just started doing them.
I'm pretty fit at 45 years old (can train up to 10 rounds of boxing drills/heavy bag/double end bag 3 times a week), but I can only do 20 burpees (jump included) before running out of breath.
I can do 65 total if I rest a minute between sets of say 15 reps, or do another exercise in between (pulldowns, squats, etc).
But can't possibly do 100.
How long doesittake to get there?
Am I maybe breathing wrong?
I don't run out of breath like that when boxing (even when sparring), so I know how to breathe.
Very few will ever get to 100. You are middle aged, you have lost at least 1/3rd of cardio endurance simply by aging. You can do it, but best to do sets of 25 x4. That is an incredible feat itself.
@@doctordetroit4339 I want to see anyone doing 100 straight without breaks.
The real ones (jump included, psycho prison style).
Even the young dudes displaying how to do it don't do more than 20 in one unbroken shot.
I finally managed to do 100 burpees (jump included) in 7 sets of 12 reps (plus a short set on the remaining 6) within 10 minutes.
Felt like I was gonna die, but freaking great nonetheless!!
@@el_killorcuregood for you. It annoys me reading comments that once you hit middle age you have to start acting geriatric. You proved the above commenter wrong.
@@CassiniProjekt Hey F THAT!
I'm not middle aged, isn't that after 60 or so?

@@bingbong7 they told me I need to gain some weight to get muscles and burpees wiil make me lose a lot of fat
Great challenge! Would you recommend still doing if you're already running, gym/ crossfitting? Or that could lead to over training? Burpees have always been difficult so keen to try this, albeit at lower reps maybe to start!
❤ Awesome 😎
amazing!!
Impressive!
I personally have always followed a hard day easy day schedule.
So I would have performed this somewhat brutal challenge on alternate days. Allowing a period of recovery in between!
Were your days fairly relaxed outside of the burpees?
Did you feel any discomfort in your joints?
Did you eat more or less of anything?
Nice going, from a former burpees junkie😎🍀
I tried a similar thing with sprints a couple of times , what i can tell you from my personal experience is, if u have been working out consistently and are considerably fit, it is less harsh on your body... whenever I tried sprinting for 30 days straight after being out of touch with exercise, it was painful and I was more injury prone, even after being relax post the challenge..hope this helps :)
Nice scenery with the trees
Didn't know burpees reduce chest hair😁. good work bro
Привет. Спасибо большое за это отличное видео. Вы потратили не только своё время и вложили труд, но в этом видео часть вас. Было инетерсно посмотреть, потом нажать на паузу и подумать. Спасибо еще раз.
Bro You r Good, Congratulations, Congratulations Again because you look like Abraham Lincoln your face reminds the legend😊
Im a personal trainer, i was also in prison for over 6 years. I will swear by burpees as the ultimate workout for full body capabilities and even weight loss. You can make 100s of variations of burpees to fit what you need from that workout, and you dont need a gym. If youve just started your entire body will feel it, and you will be gassed. I think burpees is more of a mental exercise like he said, but it makes you a stronger person. You have to push yourself mentally or you wont finish them (at high intensity). The burpees will get easier, youll do them faster and it will start to feel great. Definitely worth it, for most people i recommend around 3 days of burpees or full body workouts because of the stress it has on someone new to their fitness journey
🙌🏻
Just try doing 100 bodyweight deep squats. Still pretty hard.
