This glitch is probably not caused by jolt and can be done on all classes. its been done on multiple classes. What causes this glitch is actually overwhelming the map with enemy bodies. It causes the boss to glitch and instantly die. The reason people associate this strategy with jolt is because the storm grenade (the strategy that was first discovered to work) kills the ads all at once and jolts them with the correct build set up. There is no damage done to the boss as you'll see during the end screen of the dungeon.
IMPORTANT SIDE NOTE: Do not do this if you don’t have the checkpoint saved by someone else or alternate account as you can lose all progress if it crashes sometimes EDIT: (technically it’s not losing progress but the game thinking you completed it without giving you rewards)
@@RandomGuy_glitches I’ve had it think I completed it without giving me the rewards when it crashes multiple times so I just wanted to share that information
I managed to reproduce it like 4 times. It doesn't feel *so hard*. It even works with people in your party. I noticed that after some time, before you lay the witherhoard ball onto the floor, it'll stick to something invisible, then drops off to the floor(as if the enemy despawned or died). At that point, if you throw the staff onto the floor before enemies spawn, it will mostlikely kill it. But you kind of have to get some bodies around. Edit: Mostlikely the bodies are forming an area that breaks the boss upon multihits happening in it. Since both grenades and hunter super jolt targets, it overloards the boss. Edit-Edit: I noticed more often that if you happen to hit an enemy's dead body as the vex spawn, that triggers the glitch. You can check the clumps of enemies with witherhoard(as said earlier, it'll try to stick to the body - do that specific vortex animation on a body and fail), then when you have the super and enemies are spawning make sure you hit a dead body that you tested with witherhoard earlier. I managed to do it from 5-6 supers to 2nd super.
I wonder if the super placement is what casues the crashes or if its the excess dead vex parts building up to much. My game crashed when there are too many vex bodies on the ground but it was successful doing it with less vex bodies.
@@RandomGuy_glitches I believe it is the timing. I have experienced the same crash multiple times. It was always when the spear impacted at the same time as the enemies flash in as you showed in your video. A little before or a little after didn't cause a crash. It also appears to have nothing to do with the number of bodies on the ground, as it happened once on my first super. I'm certain too many parts can cause a crash but I think in the case of the super it is unrelated.
hehehe yeah i originally made the first video cuz a clanmate asked how i did it, and i was like ill upload it to yputube, but this isnt what i expected lol, nice to see so many reactions tho, ill definetly try the vex bodies @mindwalker said tomorrow.. will post smth when i got it more clear! thanks btw! :D
It happens rarely, use the titan missile 5 times until you can kill him with this bug..it is not consistent at all but staying behind the pillar/reactor is a good spot to do it solo while you recharge your super and get ammo
Could it be similar to the supplicant tether glitch with Atheon? I feel like there could be some related things to supplicants infinite damage off of explosion
no, it also works in a fireteam, but its solo the easiest to keep the boss behind the pillar cuz there are no other players around who can distract the boss and let it move away
@@coledemchuk9931 not yet, gonna go live now, maybe ill find a main titan who is willing to try, gonna give it some shots on the grenades tho, will let you know! feel free to hop on :)

i think you should play around with the frames more.
Also to add to this, no boss death animation plays or anything. You basically force the game to end the encounter or crash boot you out of it
It just crashed my game twice and on the second time I had lost my progress and have got no results 😭
So I did some testing today as well. The one time I did crash my loot went to the postmaster. Overall I could get a OHKO every 5-7 min.

If you are going for a flawless run, I don’t think it matters lol
welp. my game crashed on my first attempt of this
It will save you checkpoint, even if the game crashes

gonna try it tomorrow, might have smth to do with it, or maybe with placement of the electro staff... will let u know when i got more info!
That is a solid theory. My game would crash if I didn’t get it the first time and had to build super to try again so that definitely makes sense

Did it yesterday with a storm grenade that’s all you need. Just 20 rounds of ads to be safe then storm grenade 😊
The crash is likely caused by the super hitting the built up vex parts and them freaking out for a brief moment before causing the crash
Yo quick with an update video nice man! This is definitely fun to do haha

Came here after seeing your last vid in my recommended, appreciate the advice.
Wild! Will have to try
Honestly I’m surprised I haven’t seen more videos about this. Kind of happy about that though. And yep that’s exactly how my game was crashing 👍🏻
I tried it once and my game force closed. Thanks for the tips, trying again this weekend!
Thanks for the update... definitely going to try this sometime this week
Another thing for the research: Even when the game crashes, it counts a finished run, so even in a crash a solo flawless is possible.
Really??
Yh but triumphs don’t pop up until it says mission finished, I think
@@iShareGaming7 ahh bummer. Wanting to get that solo flawless lol. Got to this part and had it crash a few times
Been trying to get this glitch while playing in a fire team, but no joy after 6 attempts. Does anyone have any advice?
Wonder if a Titan thunder crash with cuirass of the falling star on could simulate this🤔
It happens rarely, use the titan missile 5 times until you can kill him with this bug..it is not consistent at all but staying behind the pillar/reactor is a good spot to do it solo while you recharge your super and get ammo
Does this count towards solo?
Are the crashes considered calabrese crashes too cause that’s what I get when I try and do this for my solo flawless
PSA: If your going for solo/solo flawless don’t bother cause if the game crashes you won’t get the triumph
Duh

i did not know about that glitch! will dig into it some more! thanks for the recomendation!
@@RandomGuy_glitches yeah nw, was a bug on launch of VoG in D2, was patched fairly quickly tho
sick find but have you ever first tried the 1 shot? if not, whats the quickest you've done this glitch? would love to use this in a speedrun.
No first try yet, fastest was second try
Lower the frame rate to 30 or 60 fps maybe?
i have to limit my fps to stop the game from crashing
Can I do this on warlock?
0:36 are you sure about that what you said 5 sec after
Can confirm after hundreds of tries it’s patched
does it only work solo?
no, it also works in a fireteam, but its solo the easiest to keep the boss behind the pillar cuz there are no other players around who can distract the boss and let it move away
I'm still saying it's Witchcraft
Try it on titan
Will have to power level a bit, titan is on 1350 now ;p will see if I can find something tonight, otherwise it will be this weekend
@@RandomGuy_glitches any updates on titan?

Never crash, never work ... i think you're a wizard
It works. Did it on hunter Gathering Storm on PC and next run on PS5
