@HunterGuy558 on pc if you have a decent system like a 30 series card you can lower your resolution to 1080p, render scaling to 80% and all settings on low it will stop the game from crashing. Works for me every time
Can confirm it still works. Also a tip, If you're struggling with the timing cap your frames. I set mine to below 90 fps and was able to do it first try after multiple failed attempts

Still working, note that THIS DOES STILL COMPLETE THE ENCOUNTER EVEN IF YOUR GAME CRASHES, INCLUDING COUNTING FOR SOLO FLAWLESS. Though D2 will seem to crash, it's still running in the background. You can see this in task manager. I let it run for some time (maybe 10mins), not forcing quit with TM, and after a while my loot showed up in the postmaster. When I forced quit and reloaded the game, the solo flawless triumph was completed. I suspect that the time you really have to wait is the 90 seconds to get the post-dungeon screen, then 30 seconds (I think) for that to expire and get auto-sent to orbit. However, I waited much longer, so you may actually need to wait longer. Watch a youtube video or something, then relaunch.
I just got the triumph, by when the game crashes I leave it crashed for about 10 minutes and then enter task manager to exit out of destiny. When you get back on you will get the solo flawless triumph
Im working on the solo triumph (Non flawless) and I did this without it crashing, waited til the post dungeon screen, and I diddnt get the triumph. I did leave the dungeon and come back to the encounter later, would that be why? Does it have to be a striaght, nonstop run through to get it?
@@DGreguskov late response but yes it does have to be a single run, so let's say you need to get a upgrade module in the middle of the run it won't count.
Just did it after about 6 tries or so. It wouldnt work the first time i threw the staff but i was killing myself and starting over each time. Then i went in with no super, killed each spawn till i had my super back and tried with all the bodies on the ground. It worked finally. I threw it just after they spawned in and it didnt crash. Hope that helps someone.
UPD: 05/24/23 - this was fixed, rip funny farm method o7 05/18/23 - still works, but jolt nerf next season could potentially fix it. As of now the best way of doing it is to create a pile of vex body parts and then try to throw storm grenade/ultimate. UPD: if pile is too big - game crashes, too small - boss won't die. You can do it in less than 5 min if get just right amount of bodies*. UPD2: * - right amount of bodies and timing Done with 60 fps, no V-sync(if anyone needs that). Previously was able to pull it out with 100 fps cap but 60 just seems smoother overall.
Same here, never hit it on the first try, the clip in the background was my fastest run, and took me like 3 or 4 tries, will try again to see if I can hit it first time, so we can rule out that it has to do smth with the pile of dead bodies

(1/24 12:45 AM) Still works, just did it on an arc titan. Kill until witherhoard sticks invisible targets and then throw your storm nade at the next wave. At least, that’s what worked for me.
I recommend spawning and killing 10-15 waves of enemies to leave their bodies, with any additional enemies having to be killed by vaporising weapons such as Trinity Ghoul. I found it to be the near optimal amount to kill Persys without crashing the game.
For anyone that wants to finish solo flawless if you do get the crash just leave it crashed for like 10 minutes. If you go to task manager and end task for Destiny and get back on right after you crash you won’t get the triumph. I got the solo flawless triumph when it crashed and just waited about 10 minutes

Tried for a couple hours and was unable to get it to work on an Xbox One. Probably the 30fps. The amount of debris on the ground seems to be the contributing factor.
I can vouch for the debris part of this, I did a run where I was just punching them and disintegrating the bodies and had a harder time getting it. Another run where I just let the debris pile up and it worked fine
Got my catalyst today. Clanmate knew about the glitch, had us follow him to a pillar and got it on the second super cast. Any updates on if it works for any other class/super? (Coming from someone who hardly touches Hunter class)
For whatever reason, i cant seem to time it right. Got my frames capped, bodies on the floor, and i even waited ten or fifteen minutes after crash to see if loot went to the postmaster - nothing. Could it be because i have too much ram?
How high is your ram? I run a system with 32 gb of ram, it does help to cap your frames, 60fps seems to be the sweet spot, we found out lowering your graphic settings to 1080p works best too. Feel free to join my discord and ask for help there, Im always down to hop in with you and show you
It has to hit the enemies and the boss, so I mostly aim just outside of the spawn circle (white circle you see when the enemies are about to spawn), didn’t find a ‘perfect spot’ yet
I tried this with other classes and I can’t seem to make it work. I might not be hitting the boss with my ultra but yeah I’d love to know if you got it working on other classes.
Still figuring it out, the main reason I only show hunter is cuz I don’t have my characters levelled (at all) but I’m experimenting with the grenade, what would mean you could do it on more classes

I set my frames to 90 and it seems to work after like 10 minutes of grinding that spot (so like4-5 supers) but everytime i get it, it crashes... you get the loot but like not the triumph if it crashes.
Can’t seem to get it to work on Xbox one. Probably at 15 attempts. Quickest way to get your super is run assassins cowl with combo blow farming the minotaurs I. The other room. Your constantly invis and you get your super in like a minute (about 7 Minotaurs)
And let’s be honest. If this was real they would of got fixed it instantly if it’s supposedly been around for weeks. I tried it extensively with no crashes or anything. Nothing worked

I don't understand, because at 1:42, you say that it's not exactly the exact moment of the spawn, that it's slightly too late, that's the reason why it didn't work, and a little later at 2:13, you say the game crashes if we use our super too early, I can't quite understand
U have to make sure your super hits the ground after a few enemies already spawned, (like u see in the clips), it crashes when the super hits the ground but the enemies didn’t completely spawn yet (the white sillouette) Hope this helps!

You can YEET! it OOB with some specific stuff. I saw a Titan do it I believe on Arc somehow (not sure how exactly) and I'm fairly certain that Retrofit Escapade with Gyrfalcon has high potential because the harpy really starts to glitch out and move close to death-zones (needs to be in DPS phase though). Also works on some of the Strike bosses like the Glassway one. I haven't secured the insta-kill yet though.

I don’t think bungie has that much of a problem with it, it’s been out for a couple of weeks now and bungie didn’t patch it yet… I think the solo run isn’t the hardest challenge for the triumph, had a lot more trouble with the master run, but I do understand where you come from

I found it best to run Shinobu's Vow with double Assets to Ashes. Quickest way to get super back.

Still working on XBOX Series X.. it crashed 3X with nothing at the postmaster. Finally, the timing worked and picked up the chest.

This still works as of 2/10/23 but it seems the timing has gotten a lot stricter. I found I got success if I hit an enemy instead of the ground

Doesn’t work on old gen Xbox one. ~45 attempts but no game crashes. My timing looks exact to yours. So it’s not possible on my console

I don’t think bungie has that much of a problem with it, it’s been out for a couple of weeks now and bungie didn’t patch it yet… I think the solo run isn’t the hardest challenge for the triumph, had a lot more trouble with the master run, but I do understand where you come from
