I have the Garrett Ace 400, which I believe is the U.S. version of the 400i. I use it on the beach, just like you did in this video. It works well, and it's fun to get out to see what I can find. I'm sure I miss some deep targets, but for the price, this detector does a great job. Happy hunting!
My detector has been at the repair center for the last 5 weeks. Still don't have it back so haven't even had a chance to go detecting. Really annoying!
hi , how do you think your discrimination/tone target id is compared to the sovereign ? Im thinking about buying a sov, but a lot of beach comber got the ace250 at least... thumb up !
The tone id on both detectors are completely diffirent, but I do like the beltone on the Garrett, especially because all the Euro coins give a clear beltone. And I also like that this detector gives VDI numbers compared to the older ACE models. But the Sovereign is a deeper detector especially with the bigger WOT coil.
I do have a problem with the pinpoint mode, that means that I never use the normal non motion pinpointmode on any machine. I think it is a waist of time to use the non motion mode. What I do is that I use the motion mode to pinpoint. With this detecor that is more difficult then with other detectors.
