Hi guys, A while ago you did a video about some product you used to clean your gray tank. You put it in and drove around with it in and you said it cleaned your tanks well. I'm having some issues with the gray tank for my kitchen sink and tried another product that didn't really help, I was hoping the one you used might. Thanks :)
Glad y’all have input with GD. Keep doing a very detailed and good job for future customers. I have a 2022 375RES Solitude. The design is fantastic. The manufacturing is awful. Our 1st year full timing in a lemon. Our 1st and last Grand Design.
Suggestion for the door thin shade. Install it upside down. That way you can push it up from the bottom so you can look out over the top and they still can't see in.
1) Coffee station needs dedicated plug outlet., 2) Center island needs two dedicated outlets (1 breaker each)., 3) Counter next to stove needs 1 if not 2 dedicated outlet for counter. 4) does the bathroom window have a blind or open for watch showing? Note: side scrape was to break it in, now its over, have fun and enjoy!
Awesome episode! I would definitely add another outlet to the other end of the center island. I feel you Chad, a scratch on a brand new RV. Happy Holidays & Congratulations on the new rv!
Love that you're sharing your entire experience with the proto, it helps for folks to know that designing and perfecting a floorplan isn't as easy as some might think. We love the Lippert thin shade for privacy but it made it impossible to see outside without opening the door completely to raise it, so we took ours out and re-installed it upside down. Now we can leave a gap at the top that allows us to still see out without people being able to see in because the opening is up high. We have a video on our channel if this doesn't make sense ;)
First, love the new RV, so happy for you both and Daisy of course. My two items would be 1. Yes move the controls into the cork board where is currently hung,, just make the cork board a little smaller so the control fit into the same frame and of course leave the hooks below. 2. This would be a change over your bed. Put the cabinets above the head back which would solve the light height issue, then add more storage if needed but allow for a power outlet in the Cabinet and port holes for a CPAP machine hose. A lot of use fat guys have to use them but would love to have the machine cleanly stored in the cabinet with just the hose exposed out the port hole on either side , maybe behind the his and her light.. Just my two cents … Love the channel !!!!!!!!
Short term solution for the bed reading lights (until something permanentcan be done).... get a stick and put something soft at one end (or find a jumbo pencil 😀) so you can poke them lights on/off. If the "Friends" gang can rustle up a poking device long enough to reach Ugly Naked Guy, you can make something about a foot long....
I’m so happy for you guys! It is a very nice home on wheels. Changes always come with no matter what rig you buy. You will get it just the way you want it. Sorry Chad I feel for you on the scratch. But at least no one was hurt.
Hi guys! First, congrats on getting your new rig! We are really glad that you highlighted the good and the bad about what you've discovered so far in your new 410TH-R. For those of us who follow you and other UA-camrs, we tend to only hear about how great the manufacturers are, which is contrary to most of our personal experiences when it comes to design build and warranty and recall work. It seems like a super easy process when we watch UA-cam to just go and get your RV worked on when it couldn't be further from the truth. You are our advocates in the Grand Design world so we would ask you to continue to put pressure on them to deliver an excellent product to all of their customers, not just those who have social media reach. Manufacturing a superior product shouldn't be this complicated. In a brand-new RV, we shouldn't have screws falling out randomly, and we shouldn't have to worry about slides popping out during travel, or other like issues. It should be like an assembly line with strict attention to detail and excellent QC. Also, it shouldn't add much cost to improve the quality of the parts that they use. We love our 2022 GD Momentum 395MS-R but we can also see where Grand Design should do better. It shouldn't take you two to tell them that the control panel will become unusable during transport...goodness gracious. Again, so glad you are continuing to kick the tires on your rig. We hope it will truly improve future iterations of these RVs. Hope to see you in person at the Florida RV SuperShow!!
Wow, that's is a awesome rig, you know everyone is going to have something they don't like or works the way they want it to, but it's great Grand Design is working with you to make it great for production.
Beautiful rig, and I really like the idea of taking a few weeks in your loading and configuring of it. I think you guys had some really terrific ideas for input to Grand Design that will make it a lot nicer for many to follow. I really like the idea of them having people actually spend a night in their prototypes to get a better feel of how things are in them. The best designers can get so busy in their plans and setups that they overlook something simple - just pure human nature, so having a totally different view can be important.
Congratulations! You should be very proud of your design and input. The interior looks so wide open and bright when compared to kitchen and lounge areas of all other toy hauler designs. I'm a bit disappointed that GD didn't do a better PDI for you. The blind boxes have to go!!! Also, the lighting above the bed has to fixed. I have the same issue in our 5th wheel and find myself falling asleep after reading or we stumble blindly out of bed at night because it's too hard to reach the lights. Glad to see they added a sturdy handrail to the bath / bed area. Overall, it's a beautiful rig!
Thanks for doing this! It shows how difficult design is. One gets overwhelmed with so many details. You two have done an awesome job! I would definitely add another outlet on the other side of the island. It's not that you need multiple outlets at the same time. It's that you may have other cooking in process and need your insta-pot plugged in "over there" not "right here". We don't have underbody lights and I like the idea of having and keeping those on at night as an animal deterrent or for climbing the stairs in the dark. I'm a big Grand Design fan, and a big Chad-Tara-Daisy fan. So happy to see you both work together! I love the idea of having people test/live in prototypes to get the best design!
The 410 looks incredible - GREAT job by you guys and GD, proving once again that it's always better to get the input from the end-users when you're designing something (and not just RVs!). That paint job is stunning - in a GOOD way. And once again, GD shows why they're highly rated - they're now having people USE a new design before putting it into production - thanks, I'm sure, to you two. We'll never need a rig that big, but absolutely love what all of you have created with the 410. Oh, and we LOVED Daisy's reaction - thanks for giving her a few minutes of "air time". Hope you have a wonderful, peaceful and enjoyable holiday with family and a great and prosperous New Year in 2023!!! Cheers always from the Sierra Nevada Foothills between Sacramento & Lake Tahoe!
No one ever hits a pole in the dark hauling a 1987 Shasta, unfortunately that only ever happens on a brand new rig. Same thing with shopping carts, they only crash into new cars. Beautiful camper, another great video, thanks !
I found your areas of concern to be interesting. We own an OLD 2003 Glendale Titanium 5th wheel. Surprisingly many of your current problem areas were addressed back in 2003 by Glendale. We absolutely love our slides on both sides of the living area...opens things up so beautifully. We have a closet in the wall by the door, our electrical/slide controls are on the opposite wall. I can access my refrigerator while both slides are in and the same with the bathroom. We have a house size mirror cabinet for the bathroom and you certainly have the space for a much bigger mirror/cabinet. If you look at our old baby's floor plan, you will see that we have almost no basement and hardly any room in the bedroom. Every plan has it's faults. I know that you will get yours addressed and the rest of us will benefit from all your hard work!!! The bright interior is really attractive. Hope to see you on the road someday soon.
Congratulations!!! I've been waiting to see your new beautiful rig. Love the color scheme. I agree with Tara on the wall decor situation. Us ladies we like a little decor. Great video!!!
Congratulations on such a beautiful new travel home. You both have done a fantastic job with the presentation and the ideas that you discuss. You are thinking of everything! Hope you will be very happy for a long time to come in your travels.
Builders of new Homes don’t even install a bathroom mirror/medicine cabinet in any of our bathrooms. They hang mirrors in each bathroom, but I wish I had a built-in seat in the shower like RVs have at least. Keep up the great work you 3, and I’m watching all your videos. Take good care of each other, and have a Great New Year!
I love all the drone footage...provides good perspective of the overall scene that you can't always get from the ground. Congrats on the new rig. It's gorgeous!
My favorite part has to be Daisy checking out her new home - so cute!! I’ll be curious to see what they come up with for the window trim issue. I hate the big ones that came in our 312BHTS but my husband doesn’t want holes in the wall so he won’t let me take them out. They’re so uncomfortable when I sit in the dinette though and get in the way when I need to open the window (turn knob is behind the trim). There’s got to be a better solution!
Good for ya'll. Nice looking rig. Well, I hate to say it, but you know with any new vehicle, you are on pins and needles waiting for that first scratch / dent. Well, that anguish is now over ( unfortunately ). Hate it for your sake, now just shake your head and a few deep breaths, and it'll be all good. So far, your "need to address" issues are not too bad. Design vs. actuall functionality, always a few issues. It's a beautiful rig, can't wait to see ya'lls final finished home. I know, yall are proud to get your new home, back home. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Hope you get all the bugs worked out. Ya'll have a blessed Merry Christmas. Stay safe and enjoy the new home.
Sweet rig! Kitchen outlet, 2 separate light boxes in 2 different locations. You can never have enough outlets but having 4 together will be too restrictive when you need to spread out on that beautiful island. The control panel behind the slide was a big OOPS and must be moved, and the bedroom lights, seems like wires can be run with a switch on each side of the slide so they can easily be accessed. Great work Grand Design and C&T. Happy for you. And the fender bender, drag, but things happen and you have a plan to remedy it, so all is good. Glad Daisy seems at home already, sweet pup.
Thank you for being honest! I’m in a few rv groups on Facebook and people expect their rigs to be 100% perfect when they first get them and then say really bad things about the manufacturing company when really it’s just the first shakedown and some things need to be tightened back up. I can understand if it’s something big like the frame or a wall but when it’s a cabinet door that just needs tightened back up or fixing your blinds issue those are not a big deal.
The new rig is so beautiful!! I agree - keep the wall open for decor 😊. I’d say there’s probably enough outlets on the island but are there any outlets at the coffee bar? And Daisy is just so cute 🥰!
No matter how much planning and design you do, there's always things you didn't see !!! Great layout, !!! and once bugs are worked out you can enjoy your new home !!! Congrats !!!
Beautiful rig! Love the chaise! That would be a great option. I'd definitely want the outlets on the end of the island - when I use my blender, crockpot, etc I wouldn't want the cord hindered by the drawer on the side 😉
My Daddy always told us when we purchased something new, to just go ahead and kick a dent in it and get that out of the way. You took care of that. Love all your videos. Love the new camper.
It’s a must for me to have outlets on each side I can work on one side with blinder and drinks while the other part of my counter is used for my air fryer
Well they certainly chose the right people to test things out for them because what has stuck out to me from the very beginning of watching you two, is that you think of everything. It’s seriously impressive!
Congratulations!!! Wow! That is a beautiful paint job! Thank you for sharing the issues. It's just like building your own bricks and sticks home. Even when things are well thought out, something comes up as an issue or doesn't work until you are actually in it. Great collaboration with Grand Design. Happy holidays!
Congratulations!! Beautiful new home! Tara, I'm with you!! Putting decor on our walls gives it a cozy, warm feeling. I personally wouldn't want hooks for jackets, that would be an eye sore! Daisy seems to love her new home!
I've been watching you guys off and on for several years. How cool to be part of designing your own perfect 5th wheel? - For the medicine cabinet, have it taller to extend lower to allow taller items inside and a better view of yourself in the mirror, rather than just your head. I drop food on my shirt occasionally, and a taller/lower mirror would alert me, LOL - That window over the stove should be a true rectangle to allow fitment of the blind while covering any corners, plus match the other windows. - Lose the window in the entry door for security purposes, keep it solid. Use a camera or view from an adjacent window. The door is the main entry point, so keep it secure and solid, you have plenty of other windows. - I felt left empty with no walk through of the entire floor plan, and a walk around of the exterior to get a better idea of your new rig. Only then, do the problems make more sense. Curious as to overall length, width, height, weights dry & full, etc. Congratulations on your new rig. While going all custom, the issues will keep arising. You guys are good, so keep on keeping on. . ..
Need to get that first scratch out of the way so you can chill about the next scratch. Sadly it happens. Be safe. Daisy looked very happy in the new rig.
Enjoying your channel and congratulations on a beautiful new RV. I can relate to the accident, we were come back home to WNC from Tampa and I got a little too comfortable and scrubbed a pole pulling into the diesel pumps in Warner Robbins. Makes you sick and plus my wife will never let me hear the end of it. LOL Safe travels
After looking at the 397 all this time, it weirds me out seeing the kitchen on the other side of the rig. Looks beautiful though, congrats guys! I've learned so much about my 310GK by watching you two. You are still my favorite channel by far!

Great idea. Thanks.
We installed ours upside down and love it. Great way to peek out the door at night!
That is a really good idea.
We installed the thin shade upside down. Works great.
Our thin shade broke the first year out. We haven't torn into it to see what is going on. Maybe this winter when we get to Florida.
The island should have an outlet on each end - much easier for crock pots and such to be plugged in!
absolutely, an outlet on each side.
Yep, each end for sure!
Or a pop-up outlet tree in the countertop.
Our Solitude has an outlet on each end of the island.
Where the outlet is now, the hanging cord will be in the way of opening the drawers.
Our solitude has outlets to the right and left of sink and we like having them.
1) Coffee station needs dedicated plug outlet., 2) Center island needs two dedicated outlets (1 breaker each)., 3) Counter next to stove needs 1 if not 2 dedicated outlet for counter. 4) does the bathroom window have a blind or open for watch showing? I agree with not putting the cork board behind the closed slide. I would be scared things might fall off during travel and get stuck under the slide
First, love the new RV, so happy for you both and Daisy of course. My two items would be 1. Hmmmmmm.. Yea.. some cabinets might be a good idea as long as we can still sit up in bed to read and such.

Hell yes to extra island outlets!
You got the first scratch out of the way so now you can relax and enjoy your new RV!!!
Congratulations!! Love it and that paint scheme is just wow!
Beautiful Rig guys. I can’t wait to learn more about the Volta? system.
I’m so happy for you guys! It is a very nice home on wheels. Changes always come with no matter what rig you buy. You will get it just the way you want it. Sorry Chad I feel for you on the scratch. But at least no one was hurt.

Another wonderful video. Just remember that everything can be fixed! You both have worked so hard and I am so happy for you.

Tara, great hair day !
Congratulation again.

Thanks for sharing LOVE the colors and YES leave the blank wall
No one ever hits a pole in the dark hauling a 1987 Shasta, unfortunately that only ever happens on a brand new rig. Same thing with shopping carts, they only crash into new cars. Beautiful camper, another great video, thanks !
Love the outside color scheme! Very patriotic 🇺🇲 Will try to hit the RV show and find y'all
Sir, thank you for your service!
awesome video guys. good, bad, ugly it happens. stay safe and warm

Congratulations 🎊🎉 on your new RV!! It’s beautiful and very spacious! To new adventures and new memories!! 🙌🙌🙏🙏❤️💜

I love all the drone footage...provides good perspective of the overall scene that you can't always get from the ground. Congrats on the new rig. It's gorgeous!
Hi folks, beautiful new RV, enjoy your upcoming travels, Wayne from Windsor Ontario Canada
Oh, so sorry about the boo boo! Thanks for sharing your new RV. Love the design. WTG!!!!!✌️❤️
Congratulations, you guys deserve to enjoy that beautiful RV.
That's totally awesome. Red, white and blue. You can't beat that 🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲🇺🇲
great vid! how exciting! Grand design appreciates the input I'm sure.
Your new home looks soooo good paired with the F450. So happy for you guys! 💚
She looks brilliant, the problems will be sorted by the time you design and get you next RV
Great video...your honesty is refreshing.
So beautiful !
Great video. Very nice RV. Best looking floor plan I have seen by Grand. Very nice. If it rolls it’s going to break. Beautiful RV.
It’s beautiful. Tara you looked really pretty too and of course miss daisy is a little doll ❤
I love to have space to hang pictures or art work. I love the light colors of the design. Hi Daisy.
I hit a stop sign with mine on the way home from picking mine up, so yes it happens, and yes it was at night. love the new RV!!!!
We did that with the first RV.. LOL
Looks great. I'm looking forward to more updates and videos. Merry Christmas.
That hug with Chad and Tara! :) :)
It is BEAUTIFUL! Congrats!
4 outlets on the island is the way to go. The versatility cannot be beat.
It's such a beautiful unit, congrats big time guys! Absolutely love how bright and fresh the inside looks. ❤️❤️
Congrats on the new RV! It looks very good and I"m sure you'll enjoy it for many years...

Congratulations on your new home! May the bugs be easy to work out in a timely manner. Enjoy!
Ive been a rv tech for 6 years and am working on my masters! Nice camper guys
The new rig is so beautiful!! I agree - keep the wall open for decor 😊. I’d say there’s probably enough outlets on the island but are there any outlets at the coffee bar? And Daisy is just so cute 🥰!
Yes.. one above the coffee bar (under the cabinet)
Congratulations on your new home! Lynn and Danny
Thanks guys for keeping us informed, beautiful RV. Have a Merry Christmas stay safe.
Beautiful rig. Congratulations
Congratulations on the new rig. Love the Daisy-cam additions.
Absolutely agree to having wall space for decor! I'd like to remove a couple of windows to make wall space in my Fifth Wheel.
That thing is a Beast.
My Daddy always told us when we purchased something new, to just go ahead and kick a dent in it and get that out of the way. You took care of that.
Love all your videos. Love the new camper.
Love that! 😂🤣
It’s a must for me to have outlets on each side
I can work on one side with blinder and drinks while the other part of my counter is used for my air fryer
Well they certainly chose the right people to test things out for them because what has stuck out to me from the very beginning of watching you two, is that you think of everything. It’s seriously impressive!
Congratulations, it looks awesome! Enjoy 😉
The new rig looks awesome and I can't wait to see where it goes!
We are so Happy and Excited for you two. Enjoy and keep the videos coming but more important Keep Making Memories. Daisy really likes it.
So awesome...great job changing lanes... yeah it hurts the heart for sure when we have a brain fart...lol
Congratulations!! Beautiful new home! Tara, I'm with you!! Putting decor on our walls gives it a cozy, warm feeling. I personally wouldn't want hooks for jackets, that would be an eye sore! Daisy seems to love her new home!
Great stuff. Seeing how they resolve some of these issues will give us ideas on our own RV.
More tail and brake lights like you did on your 397...
Safe travels and good health.
I've been watching you guys off and on for several years. How cool to be part of designing your own perfect 5th wheel?
- For the medicine cabinet, have it taller to extend lower to allow taller items inside and a better view of yourself in the mirror, rather than just your head. I drop food on my shirt occasionally, and a taller/lower mirror would alert me, LOL
- That window over the stove should be a true rectangle to allow fitment of the blind while covering any corners, plus match the other windows.
Always love watching you guys. Hope you have an amazing Xmas and a safe New Year.
The outlet on the island with the combination of the USB ports really makes it 4 . Like it exactly the way they designed it.
After looking at the 397 all this time, it weirds me out seeing the kitchen on the other side of the rig. Looks beautiful though, congrats guys! I've learned so much about my 310GK by watching you two. You are still my favorite channel by far!
As far as the outlets on the island mine are in the front at each end and that is all I ever needed.
On the island it makes sense to put outlets on both sides of the island to get full use of that counter space
This channel inspired me so much and taught me what is possible and what I want in life ❤️
