I'm done with bodybuilding as a sport. My buddy died this year at the age of 28, he was an IFBB pro. Boston passed at 29 leaving behind a young family. A host of bodybuilders died last year. This sport goes against human biology and there is no healthy way to participate in it. Look at sports like mma where they are bashing each other's heads in and using peds but we don't see them dying in numbers like bodybuilding. I don't see any sports reporting this amount of deaths. This is my opinion and thoughts on the subject and many of you may disagree, but I just can't see myself enjoying this sport anymore, and that's coming from someone that doesn't even use peds, but this sport has put a sour taste in my mouth. Rip Boston, praying for you and your loved ones.

Agree. As someone who grew up in the '90s "Muscle & Fitness"/pro-wrestling era when 300-lb mass monsters would be telling kids to eat their vegetables, Bostin Loyd was an epiphany. Those who were there remember how he took a wrecking ball to the colossal illusion that was the fitness/bodybuilding industry and really triggered a massive shift in the way bodybuilding/fitness is discussed. Kids today would quickly recognize the delusion of the past era as such and that's largely attributable to Bostin's no-BS honesty. He broke tons of us young meatheads out of the matrix and revealed the ugly realities of the industry when pretty much no one else would. It was truly truly cathartic. I am so sad about his passing, he was so loveable; at the same time, I am so mad that he did this to himself. This hurts. RIP Bostin.

Dave and young body builders. I'm 55 and started lifting weights and body building at the age of 7 and have never taken a PED in my life. You can be successful with a good solid diet and proper rest. All the gains from steroid abuse are like a piece of popcorn, there's nothing to it and it deflates just as fast. The muscle you develop through natural means is dense and will last much longer and it's called mature muscle. The bottom line, Dave, boys and girls, is steroids kill! Who's next? Users, keep telling yourself that you just have to be responsible and you'll be ok.

He shines a big light that modern bodybuilding is not a healthy sport and is killing far too many people. RIP young man.

I think the true Mr Olympia contest along with the true Arnold classic should ban steroids. Let’s see what a real body would look like . Let’s find out what proper nutrition suplementation really looks like. Tired of these people proclaiming Health n fitness

Looking at all the gear and crazy cycles he did, I'm not surprised he passed at such a young age. I feel sorry for his family, not so much for him. Even though I appreciate his honesty about his gear use, I will never understand the need to risk your health to look a certain way.

Hate to say it, he was an idiot. And the worst of it is, I know many young people that watched him and started using Tren in high doses, pros didn't even acknowledge him.

@@andyw3152 yeah ever since he did a collab video with Rich Piana I knew the guy was a proper dumbass. Always bragging about his high dosages. One less idiot in the world, and more will follow. People are idolizing substance abuse and most dudes in the gym just can't figure out why they can't look like they're favorite steroid user... Ihm, i mean bodybuilder

Condolences to Mr. Loyd's family. This is a wakeup call to everyone to not abuse any drugs even when you think you are medically qualified when you are not. Abuse does not equate to knowledge. We are loosing to many in the sport and it needs to change.

bro with all due respect. Bostin's death wasnt the wake up call. We had our wake up call on August 25th 2017 when Rich Piana passed away. That was THE wake up call WE ALL needed. People STILL ignored it :(

Condolences to his family, but let's be honest. This is probably the least surprising bodybuilder death so far. I hope people can learn from this an proceed with more caution if they do indeed choose that route.
