lyrics: Have we gone blind? I used to sing of finding light in the darkened skies above No fleeting glimpse All hope is bleeding from this shell The wolves are snapping at all sides Consuming fear The faith I held is fractured like a mirror Both sides reflect the darkness of the other Without the will to look inside We cut our wrists on the divide And I am bleeding out with no one there beside me No fleeting glimpse No hope remains inside this hell The noose is gripping at my neck with every breath Our life is drained We’re being punished for our crimes The executioner calls out a final time Offering wealth and wine, take my hand and twist the knife We’re depraved and reviled, welcoming eternal night The faith I held is fractured like a mirror Both sides reflect the darkness of the other Without the will to look inside We cut our wrists on the divide And I’m retreating now into the silence of the starless skies Into the starless skies Eternal rest Merciful death
The _standard_ metal video can't be very expensive I'm afraid. You just round up the band, go to a forest somewhere and place the band members there with their instruments, mimicking a performance. Possibly there is some kind of ruin in the background, and there might be a torch or some twigs burning slightly. :(
A lot better than Isolation was. Still not as good as the stuff on hunted, but this is a good track. Maybe the other cuts on the album will blow me away.
The main vocals went lower by a few pitches, which is kinda disappointing from the studio point of view/hearing. However the high cleans weren't near as tight live as in the studio tracks, so maybe they are focusing on providing a better live performance. Anyways, still an amazing band, and this track is bloody good. Can't wait to hear the rest of the album, but I am hoping for some heavier, gloomier and doomier stuff.
But to be honest there were hints and whiffs of this coming in Hunted. They have a very "big" sound here and there, almost like if some of those songs on hunted were a few minutes shorter they would be main stream rock radio ready.
Just got put onto this. It's decent, for sure, but the trouble at the moment is that I'm finding myself comparing everything with the new Eternal Champion album. And against that, everything is falling short.
Good song, but why can't it just be the music and the art work? Getting someone to chop it up and make it move awkwardly is not a substitute for a music video. It just looks crap.
Never heard of them, this new generation of bands seem very uninspired. Or just running through the motions they take from older bands, in this case Candlemass and Sabbath. It's not bad, but certainly not groundbreaking.
Khemmis is not the metal we deserve, it is the metal we need.
Mark my words, Khemmis is the best kept secret in metal. This song is INCREDIBLE
Agree
Come on man it's not a secret anymore. Great band
Seeing them live for the second time tonight. They are great live
Hardly a secret
Could I humbly suggest a band called Visigoth
lyrics:
Have we gone blind?
I used to sing of finding light in the darkened skies above
No fleeting glimpse
All hope is bleeding from this shell
The wolves are snapping at all sides
Consuming fear
The faith I held is fractured like a mirror
Both sides reflect the darkness of the other
Without the will to look inside
We cut our wrists on the divide
And I am bleeding out with no one there beside me
No fleeting glimpse
No hope remains inside this hell
The noose is gripping at my neck with every breath
Our life is drained
We’re being punished for our crimes
The executioner calls out a final time
Offering wealth and wine, take my hand and twist the knife
We’re depraved and reviled, welcoming eternal night
The faith I held is fractured like a mirror
Both sides reflect the darkness of the other
Without the will to look inside
We cut our wrists on the divide
And I’m retreating now into the silence of the starless skies
Into the starless skies
Eternal rest
Merciful death
These guys are so consistent. Another great heavy track.
This is the most criminally underrated band in the world right now.
Beautiful sound.
Love the art detail.
The guitar tone is freakin awesome!
Every song this band puts out seems to be a masterpiece. Great song! This and the next Soilwork record are my most anticipated records of the year
Love me some Khemmis. Looking forward to listening to the new album a few dozen times.
Aaron Lamb ...on the first day
Khemmis never disappoint
Jesus these guys are killing it AGAIN. Pretty hard to break onto the Metal scene and top what they have already done with "Hunted" and "Absolution".
Great song! Would have never heard of these guys if not for going to my favorite brewery where they play Khemmis all the time.
Seeing them tonight, a 15-minute walk from my apartment! :D F yeah.
Khemmis is pretty good. By that I mean, KHEMMIS IS FUCKING AWESOME
Wizards. Praise Bakshi. Worship Frazetta. Hail Khemmis
All hail Khemmis!!! 🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
This is the best thing you have done yet. But everything you guys make is great.
Great song
Great video
Greetings from Chile
Começando a botar fé no novo álbum
Better than isolation. I'm not so worried about the new album now.
Perfection! Utterly pure perfection!
years has been wasted from my life
what didnt found out b4 damn it
Awesome track!!!!
Mega Band🤘🤘
Angel Rubin Vocals Metal Agree!
If Pallbearer, Khemmis, and YOB all toured together... I would absolutely shit myself head to toe.
Is that Gordon Ramsay on Bass Guitar? Nice
Can't wait for the Denver show!!! =w=
good stuff, is it me or does the guitar sound even more doomy. I love it
Awesome Track, looking forward to the Album. :)
Best name I saw in a while
Oroborus Thank you ^^
Guitar sound is so full and thicc. DROPPIN LOADSssss.

The dislikes must be from bands these guys have opened for.

Great!
Тёмное фэнтези 😊🔥🔥🔥
Official VIsualizer? is this a new thing now?
Hugh Jass Music videos are 'spensive, I guess.
Has been for awhile it seems....

Lmao
@@Scylla_Charybdis Ever seen Red Fang's clip for "Wires"? 😂
This is what i try find the long time fu*k yeah!
Black Wolf always in some shit! Love this band!

And...were you "blown away"?🤔
Sounds like a mixture of URIAH HEEP and MASTODON
A change in vocal style as well, keep going
Intro slightly reminiscent of Kreator's 'People Of The Lie'. Cool track \m/
When it kicks in at 4:29 \m/
❤❤
Muito bom 👏👏👏👏
Intro sounds like satan is real
aman bhakta a little, yeah. I think Kreator slips a few more notes into the riff, but it is kind of similar.
Badass
MUITO BOM, É ÓTIMO !!
Proper fucking doom!
Frank Frazetta inspiration is heavy on art =).
Fix the quality is watered down even at 1080p
cool fantasy art
1000 likes? More?

Isolation was a great song, but this one is a little more meandering. It would be hard for any band to follow-up Hunted though.
Anyone else slightly disappointed by both new tracks? Don't get me wrong - they're good songs but it seems Hunted was on a whole another level
Yup
Definitely a more streamlined cleaner sound.
But to be honest there were hints and whiffs of this coming in Hunted. They have a very "big" sound here and there, almost like if some of those songs on hunted were a few minutes shorter they would be main stream rock radio ready.
Well, we're of the same mind on the previous track, but I really loved this one. I'd describe the ending of it as top-notch doomy masterpiece.
Isolation is indeed a bit dissapointing. This one is HUGE! So far I don't agree with you, let's wait for the release of the whole album!
What a fucking band. If your ever in Pennsylvania tour with black cow girl. Similar to you
Just got put onto this. It's decent, for sure, but the trouble at the moment is that I'm finding myself comparing everything with the new Eternal Champion album. And against that, everything is falling short.
Thought this was a concrete blonde cover of bloodletting
Where a name of anime.....
They don't sound as good since they joined Nuclear Blast for some reason.... what's happened?
Sounds like the bass is not turned up enough
It kind of sounds like tremonti
way too much going on here..
this band really needs to ditch the left right twiddly guitar "Harmonies". too thin
