Xrt without dct needs to be better spec 'd on the inside. Maybe next year HMG. I need 360 surround cameras. Or merge the Calligraphy with the XRT mechanicals. I'll buy it
loving our XRT so far but have not really tested it off road. Took it on a camping trip with my son and we were able to both sleep in the back actually. Agree the design and packaging of this is pretty incredible for a vehicle this size and price. Nice review
Glad to hear you like it! I'm test driving one in a few days. Is it a pretty smooth, quiet ride on normal highway driving?
@@markscott9179 yeah crazy smooth and quieter than our other car (Kia Carnival). I was worried the all-terrain tires would be loud but at least so far they are not at all and I think actually contribute to the slightly softer ride compared to other trims, plus don't need to worry as much about rim damage. I like the extra height on the XRT. Only complaint (applies to all trims) is the smallish gas tank which means more frequent fill-ups, but mileageo is ok so far.
@neutics Thanks for the response man! The wife and I drove it last night and loved it. You're right, it rides real smooth and quiet. We liked it so much we actually purchased it. It was between this and a Kia Telluride. I really thought we would go with the Kia (I'm a big Kia fan) but like i said we loved the XRT. I just worry a little about the DCT. Fingers crossed on that

I passed you guys going home last week and was wondering what the hell they were. At first I didn't notice, but then there was a parade of the same vehicle in different colors. I was sure it was a Hyundai with the H theme, but didn't realize it was the new Santa Fe.
This thing looks like it has an overbite in the back and an underbite in the front.

Hiring Audi’s former chief of design was the best decision Hyundai/Kia has made for current and future products.
$42k.. but it’s still a Hyundai. Their designs are pushing the line, which is good, but at the same time I’m seeing them in the news too much.
i would love for Hyundai to really try and compete in the off road scene. They are making wonderful cars that look great , but they are lacking in that one area imo. If they could make a vehicle that has 19+ inches of suspension articulation, they'd kill it. They have an opportunity to really steal some market share from toyota. Toyota is charging ridiculously high prices for their upcoming land cruiser and lexus gx models. Also the taco is overpriced too.
There are plenty of off-road options, not everyone needs to make a off-road vehicle
I have a 2022 XRT and it looks better than this model.

You want transmission issues… want crappy service and warranty?? Buy this car here … you will have enough troubles to last a lifetime… stay away from Thunder Bay ontarios Hyundai… very very dishonest place to deal with… bought mine and had trouble with engine and transmission within 2000 km … then they laughed at me when I told them what’s wrong… very disappointed… class action lawsuit coming soon!
