- Hey what's up?! In this video I review the new NECA TMNT Zach and Smash two pack. I discuss all (and I mean all) of their appearances in the cartoon. Smash was easy to cover with only one, but Zach had 7 episodes to go over and review. I discuss their cartoon accuracy and all of their accessories in excruciating detail. Plus more!

Great video as always my friend. Just to let you know with Zach, his backpack has a thing that pops out in the back of it. That’s where the Turtle shell/ slash green garbage can peg pops into it. Then it’s secured in place. Just trying to help you out. Thanks for the great review. So try that out when you can and let me know if you get it. 😉 Appreciate ya.

zach is the result of tv makers in the 90s thinking adding a kid character would help the viewers relate more, but more often then not they ended up beeing the most annoying character and moments in the series. i remember disliking the episode with the fake kid ninja turtle as i called him to my mom as a kid even. i probably was yealous i wasnt the one hanging with them most likely.
DEWD!! This was a GREAT vid!!!! I luv your quick episode reviews to establish this character for noobies. Very entertaining and insightful. Also luv that Fig set!! Smash-imus Prime & CNTG figs were a complete fanservice for me, as Return of The Shredder was one of my first epsds to ever see, had it on VHS. : -D Keep on rockin' the Tube my friend!!

from start to the end i'm always here for those amazing neca figure reviews :) I love Zach if someone would ask me what would be a last figure you get to have satisfying collection I would be if we get neutorinos + Zach I'm super happy and dream come true :D I remember how every kid wanted to be a Turtle and yet I wanted to be myself on a quest to search turtles, so when episode with Zach came in it was so cool and I could instantly identify with him because he wasn't impostor like crocked turtle clan he was entity on his own... :)
I can totally see where you’re coming from. I know as a kid I hoped that the Turtles were real and someday they would travel in the sewers to my house. I also hoped I’d fall in a cave in my backyard and become Batman too haha. It’s awesome that Neca finally made the toys you’ve always wanted!
Great review as always. I just don't know why NECA didn't leave Smash's eyebrows, if they have it on the front picture on the box. But I guess it was off and on with the eyebrows being there on the cartoon lol.
I didn’t notice that but you’re right. Those big bushy eyebrows are there in nearly every shot with the mask.
I purchased this pack primarily for the Zach figure, as it evokes a sense of nostalgia for me.
Yeah, he pops in my head when I think of the old show too!

0:56 or Jubilee from x-men, Shortround from Indiana Jones, Scrappy Doo or Robin from Batman. It's just that ridiculous type of character for the kid show, who is supposed to create a link between the audience/cartoon and be more relatable for kids to associate with. But instead these are bunch of clumsy admirers and tsundere fools, who's always gotta be saved, whining constantly and make trouble every chance they've got (as if endless line of damsels in distress wasn't bad enough). But if DiD were at least more competent, attractive and charismatic, making them worthy to save, those buffoons were nothing but a nuisance in my eyes.
For me it was a pain to buy someone as Zach at full price, even Vernon wasn't so annoying.
13:55 well, since the other members of the gang was later shown to be arrested by the police on April's scoop, obviously he was imprisoned for, like, 23 years in total (because robbing a bank isn't a light crime from the justice system perspective, not to mention the other robberies), unless the cops are even more incompetent and were fooled by his dojo outfit, making them think that he wasn't a gang's member, but an poor citizen, that was taken hostage by those fiends. And since the show wasn't going that long and , unlike other villains, he was worthless and Shredder wasn't interested in busting him out of the prison or paying on payroll.
19:51 it's a body part from human Rocksteady and Burne figures, just unpainted.
42:10 well in "the fith turtle" and "return of the fly" the Technodrome was moving up to the surface but because of energy limitations it travelled only half of the way, and through one of mutant modules hole they've been sending technorovers to the catacombs or the sewers, making it up to the surface. I know it sounds ridiculous, but it's the only explanation that MWF left us with.
Yeah, I could see the price going down a bit since Zack is so small. Maybe they thought the accessories evened it out. At least it’s not as bad as Super7 charging full price for their Snarf figure. They could have at least given us a break with that. It’s funny how the people in charge of these shows/movies always tried so hard to include goofy sidekicks to appeal to kids, because even as a kid it actually pushed me away in some cases. As usual you always provide a lot of great info. I didn’t even think of linking the techno rover movement to the fifth turtle story or return of the fly. I also don’t know why I didn’t grab a screenshot of April’s newscast from Return of the Shredder. Some of those shots of the Crooked Ninja Turtle Gang being taken away are pretty hilarious. The one of them tied up while attached to the couch spring especially. I haven’t opened up my premutation 4 pack yet, but I take it from what you said that Rocksteady is built off the Burne body just like Smash?
