    I have watched between 15 to 30 of your tutorials and I really love your free-form style. THANK YOU for making wire working easier of this 55 year old woman who is trying to supplement her meager income from social security.

    I just found your channel and am so inspired! Not only for projects, but maybe...potentially...starting a channel of my own.
    I always said I wouldn't because my process is like yours, often organic and unplanned. Perhaps I've just watched too many edited tutorials where everything is already figured out and mistakes are taken out.
    I love seeing your process and how things come together and that you aren't afraid to show that you changed things. Thank you for being so authentic!

      Hey, Kristina! I would definitely recommend making your own channel! I have gotten to make friends with so many talented artists and cool folks, not to mention all the things I have discovered by teaching what I have learned over the years :)
      Thank you for your kindness, and I am glad you like my videos! Good luck to you in all that you do :)

    We have a shop here in Brisbane called Recycled Garbage and they have anything and everything that companies and such have thrown away, which people can then buy and reuse in crafts or however else they desire. I've seen little bottles like these there before along with hard plastic ornaments for headbands, old theatre lights etc. They don't advertise or anything and what they have available will vary day to do, but it's definitely worth checking out. ☺

    Thank you so much. I enjoy hearing the thought processes as you go, as well as the different turns your project takes as you go along.
    My first thought when I saw the nick in the wire was to make a valley fold there and hang something in that spot. I don't know anything about working with wire though, would that be a bad idea? Adding more stress in the nicked spot.
    I have a crafting vacation coming up in less than two weeks and I'm pretty sure my bag of wire is coming out of the box to play! Now that I've watched a few of your wire vids, I'm curious to see what's in the stash.

    • @backtoearthcreations
      @backtoearthcreations  8 років тому +1

      hehe, thats a great idea! I wouldn't put a load bearing link into a spot with nicked wire, like the chain for a necklace, but I think just a dangling charm would be lovely :)
      a crafting vacation sounds delightful! Please let me know what all you make so I can craft vicariously through you, lol!

    I absolutely love your tutorials, you always explain everything very clearly. FYI, the whole bottom part of dragonfly is his reproductive organ 😀😀😀 Don't know about female dragonflies 😀😀😀

  • @HiddenThicket
    @HiddenThicket 8 років тому +2

    The dragonfly parts are head, thorax (where the legs and wings are located), and abdomen. Males have claspers (called cersi) on the end of their abdomen that they use to grasp the female by the neck (protothorax) to subdue her and prevent other males from mating with her. That's why you sometimes see two dragonflies flying together. The male is in front and the female is in back being held captive by him. Some species will not allow the female to go free until she deposits her eggs, because the last male to mate with her is the one that fertilizes them.
    I found a bunch of my missing glass bottles, so I'm probably going to spend some time making a few of these to hang in the window. I'll have to stick with the original stoppers, though. I have nothing to make new corks from besides polymer clay or sticks and glue.

    • @backtoearthcreations

      Shoot, you know all you gotta do is ask and I'll make you some corks, you goober! We can trade: I'll make you corks if you help me weed my flower beds :p or make me clean my kitchen again.

    Where do you get your wire? I watched a video and a woman was using a product called tool magic ,Do you use this product ?
    It is used to coat jewelry tools to keep the tools from scratching the wire.Love watching your video's. Love your cute laugh . Wish you could do a simple video on wrapping a pendant as I kinda got stuck with a bunch of pendants . Your videos are great and you put a lot of work into them .Its great that you do them and decide to tweak them here and there .Your work is beautiful.
