Thank you. These are so adorable.
Yvonne, I am addicted to your videos. I never thought of being an artistic person, but you make me think I can really do this, instead of simply being relegated to the ranks of admirer! You are eloquent, articulate and funny. You don't take yourself too seriously when you make a mistake or have to redo a step. I can't wait to see more.
You always come up with the best ideas. I love the gears. They are so cool with wire wrapping. Thank you.

Wow, even though this video was made last year, I am a new subscriber, and I love your work! I am planning to make something like this, and I am inspired to make something like a little wired dragon by using your eye techniques and maybe even how you used gears to shape out the pendant!
hehe, right on! I am glad you found me; welcome to my channel! I would love to see what you make, if you would like to share pictures to my facebook page here facebook.com/Back-to-Earth-Creations-232879571674/ :) Happy Crafting!

How to find the cogs?
It's very simple. Search for steampunk findings, cog findings or gear findings.
This is a great idea, thank you. :)
Very effective search terms, thank you Sue!
thank you Sue

Thank you for your expeditious response...that is such a great, eclectic, and beautiful idea, I dig It! So when I go to Michaels what do I ask for? Just ask for gears or is there a special name for them?
Great
My other half just found this and thought I would be interested. You have a great selection of videos, you are really talented. I've subscribed and look forward to watching not only your existing videos but any new ones as well. Keep crafting
Hehe, thanks Lynne! I'm glad you enjoy my videos!!! :)
Very nice ,I am looking online to find the gears like the ones you use
I REALLY want to learn this.. and even though this an awesome tutorial.. Is there a way maybe on FB page or somewhere, you can post pics of .. example: where wire is supposed to go".. I am a very visual learner.. so seeing these as still pics would be great. I LOVE your videos, Thank you!!
Great idea! Though the dark gear seems to take away from the delicate color of the rose quartz.
Oeh so simple but beautifull! very nice. I can not find the brand Parawire here in the Netherlands. We do have Artistic Wire. Do yopu have any experience with that brand? Thank you. You are awesome!
@Yvonne Williams Please show this fractal wrap being done on your chainmaille bezel. I really need to see it being done so I can get it right. Thank you for sharing all of your beautiful work!
Hey, Alice! I will do that!
Yvonne Williams , I totally fan girl squealed when I saw that you replied to my comment LoL. I just wanted to say that I really love your personality and everything you do.
Great idea! Please tell us, where to find these “gears”?
Really enjoyed this video. I have been practising on a 10mm cabochon and gear. I get so far and then run out of spare holes and only half the bead gets secured. What am I doing wrong?
Just bumped into ur channel . U seem to be very creative in so many things .. where to get the gear or tool which u used behind the stones ? And what is it called .. & what are other options or variations can be used
I just wondered also where do you find the different shape gears? Thanks
Hi Yvonne. Love your channel! Been a subscriber for awhile and love all the tutorials. I can usually get them in one or two tries. However, this one has me baffled. I have tried 8 times now and have used all different sized gears (8,10,14,20,25 etc teeth). My one side never turns out like the other side like yours. So frustrating. I am following exactly like you’re doing it, but at some point there isn’t a place to put the wire for every other tooth. I can’t figure out what I am doing wrong. I bought so many gears and cabs for this project because I need to make a bunch. Any suggestions? Has anybody else had this issue? TIA, Penne
what a beautiful pendant!! where do u get your stones?
Thank you, Pat! I get a lot of my stones from Fire Mountain Gems and Ebay :)
Have great day !☺
This gave a great easy way to wrap some glass stone I've painted in the Denver Broncos colors now I can make them into necklaces
Thanks your the best !
Yay!!
Wow, such a lovely pendant! Tfs. Do you have an etsy store please?
Thank you! I have a website: www.backtoearthcreations.com :)
Sorry I'm late to the party here. I'm sure you've explained this somewhere, but when you use these thinner wires do you use dead soft or half hard? And what about for the bracelets made by braiding the wire?
Is this weave able to be done on a large ring with no pointing pongs to attach the wire wrap?
do you have trouble with the gears tarnishing and leaving black streaks on the skin? I'm just starting the video, don't know yet if you coat the gear as of now.
I'm in Australia and having a lot of trouble finding the gears.
gdzie mozna kupic takie podkladki
where do you buy the gears?
I have a beautiful piece I would like to share but I'm not sure how to share a photo here. Does anyone know?
I'm not sure how to put a picture onto a youtube comment, but you can feel free to share it to my Back to Earth Creations page on facebook :)
how could one get a fractal wrap without a gear. I Can't find one that fits my cabachon
Hey Yvonne, for how long are you doing this already? I'm Uli from Germany and a bit of handicapped or disabled by using my right arm after an accident in July 2013. I'm written I'll since, waiting for my paper to get the early retirement. Before I was right handed, now I had to learn to do most things by using my left hand. That also changed my way to view and handle things cause I use my other part of the brain now instead. So I am not only bodily disabled but also completely mentally changed. I would love to learn these skills cause I know, this is what I want to do for the rest my life. So could you please tell me, if you are able to earn enough money with it and how much do you make or instead how much do you need for living. So sorry to bother you that much with personal informations but I have to survive however and to find a way to make money. Therefore I need your help really urgently to learn more about your skill.
Hey, Uki! My partner and I have been selling our jewelry and costumes professionally for 9 years, Thats quite the obstacle to face and overcome!! We have been very fortunate that we have been able to earn enough to scrape by; our best year we made $40,000 but at first we were lucky to make $10,000, and this is for both of us together, so we were living in deep poverty for a while, but honestly we weren't any poorer than we were when we were working day jobs. Also, I think it is important to point out that we don't have kids or anyone who financially relies on us, so we were able to make the choice to be really poor for a while until the business started getting going :) I hope this is helpful to you!
Can you show this on a square cab?
That's a great idea! ❤
where do we get the geers from
I get all of my gears from Michaels or www.aliexpress.com
where do you get gears?
Hello, Jean! I get my gears from Michaels and Amazon :)
I can't wait till my cobochons get here ordered last week but they are still in China :(
The struggle is real, they ain't joking when they say "slow boat from china"!
Yvonne Williams
No they're not, but I really don't mind. I've grown to like the feeling of surprise when you get pretty things through the mail that you'd completely forgotten you ordered.
Or now and again, I go on a mad spree of inexpensive cabs and beads. Buying a little something every day for a week or so. Then just when you've had enough time to forget the excitement of the shopping ... Wahay! It's Christmas nearly every day for a week or so!
Nothing wrong with that slow boat in my eyes. 😂
why not glue it down ahead of time?
how can i find these gears
darlene hawkins I get my gears from Michaels, Etsy, Ali express, and anywhere else I can find them!
In the jewelry section at Michaels?
Amber Gillespie yup!
I could not see how you were doing that as you were tying it off to make the bail you were totally out of frame.
⚘⚘⚘⚘😚😚😚
:-D
"an "eye" out" as you were holding an eye
So y'all can see I could not see
you are beautiful
Ronald Natureba thank you, and thanks for watching!
Hi, I love that you are so happy doing your tutorials. You give me such inspiration to create the wonderful art pieces. I have some pieces on Etsy but have not sold much. Any helpful tips would be wonderful. thank-you

Creations by Gail Howe
Heya, Gail! I am really glad you enjoy my videos and I hope I can be helpful to you! It is difficult to know what to recommend to a person because what works best for me may not work best for you, and vice versa. The best advice I can give is to keep a diversity of products and price points; if someone doesn't wear pendants but likes your work, they may love a pair of earrings. Also, sometimes a client only has $5-$20, and sometimes they want an expensive custom piece. It is wise to have items for sale that they can shop through and choose from. Also, practice + patience + and persistence. Refine your technique, develop your style, and learn as much as you can. Be patient with yourself, the process, and your clients. and most of (I can no stress this enough) Don't give up! If it is still your dream, keep at it! As long as what you are doing is bringing you joy, keep trying your best and you will be rewarded! I have periodic live stream Q and A sessions here on UA-cam, and I'd love to be able to catch each other online and answer any questions you have in real time :)
Enjoy all your creative ideas, and your infectious giggle...could you work on reducing your
"ums" ? It's OK to pause instead and sounds more professional. I apologize in advance for being old-fashioned about use of the language. I always give you thumbs UP.
