I fell in love with this book and I finally paid full price for my very own at Barnes & Noble. I don't think that I will be able to cut it up. It takes my breath away! Tyfs!
I've owned this book for more years than I want to remember, I find it a great book to compare the seasonality to what I experience now and are able to more or less follow it to the date. What does stand out apart from the quality of the images is how much less wildlife I see compared to Edith, no doubt because of the loss of biodiversity, and habitat and greater pollution compared to 100 years ago.
I'd previously bought a few pages of this book through etsy. But I've never seen the actual book. So, thank you so much for doing this flip through of such a lovely book!💞
I find ADDALL books to be the best source when hunting hard to find old or out of print books. Lots of copies of this book available in England:) But I just found me a used copy across the river from me at Powell's and bought directly from them. used.addall.com/
Junk journaling??? No. These books should be kept intact. How rude to cut them up. Good god, do you all realize how much time this woman put into her actual real journal and you want to rip it up for some “junk” journal. Make photo copies, draw your own illustrations! Stop using real artists work.
I have not cut mine up. Some people will use books that are already damaged instead of throwing them away. Junk journaling is a thing and a lot of people consider them works of art, not "junk" as the name may imply. If a book is just going to sit on a shelf or eventually be destroyed I don't see why it's a bad thing to use it for another purpose you cherish. These books are already a copy of the original. People do also photocopy the pages if they don't want to ruin the book. I get where book lovers would cringe at the thought of cutting up such a beautiful book, but I see the other side of it too. Thanks for watching!

Did you get the same hardcover as this one from Barnes?
Thank you for showing this, I had no idea there was such a beautiful book. I just now bought it on ebay!

I hadn't viewed the book with that in mind. I will definitely be going through it again now with more insightful intent. Thank you!

Glad you enjoyed it!
I love this book. Wonderful for junk journals.
Have been wondering about these pages when I have seen them in different videos. Thank you for telling the name ❤️😍 Ordered a few now 👌🏼
Thank you so much! It is great to know what I am looking for in thrift stores!
Hi I am new to Edith Holden and love the books. I am using mine to make journal tags. I have 3 more coming all in different languages !!
The images are so beautiful! I have a couple of the books and still can't get myself to cut them!!
De blue bird is called kingsfischer. Love this book 😘
Anita Kouwenberg oh yes! It looks different than the Kingfishers we have where I live. Thank you. 😊
It’s a kingfisher, we don’t have hummingbirds in England.
lucy7b yes, I did figure that out. Thank you. 😊
I so want to find a copy of this book for my own personal use and to read as well.
Have it, love it, would not alter it. Just copy stuff to put in an other altered book (since it is for my own use).
What's your thoughts on her other book? " The Nature Notes Of An Edwardian Lady" I have recently purchased this book.
I haven’t run across the other book yet. I might order one though.
Please can you let me know the isbn no of the small soft cover book please
