    This is the greatest thing ever for those of us who only own one electric guitar , and that guitar has a floyd rose bridge.

      my favorite pedal especially the combo Whammy DT version. Lets me switch easy from Eflat to Drop C without hassle for Floyd Rose guitars.

    You could play Lonely Boy and use the momentary drop. Cool.

    That must be soooo cool to have for a song, so you can drop tune half way through. Awesome TK \m/

    This is so damn useful for those pesky Motley Crue/Slaughter covers that are in D standard not E standard...

    This pedal seems great. You can drop tune and you don't have to use super heavy strings or make any intonation corrections :-)

    Thanks for the Demo. I have a question you maybe able to help me with. I just started to play in a rock band, and my Mandolin is not low enough to blend with the guitars. It sounds two thin even with effects pedals. I was thinking of using the Digitech Drop to get me my Low G down to a C. Think this will make it work, or am I just SOL?

    Can you raise the pitch with this as well? or is it strictly drop? I'm looking for something for raising the pitch at least up a step without using a capo. I hate Capos

    I have a question if my guitar is in drop c I can use this pedal to standard tuning?

  • @CorsairJock

    Can it be used to make a 6 string guitar sound like a (clean) electric bass? In other words, as a part time bass player, part time guitarist, would I only need to bring guitar to gigs IF I had this pedal?

    so if your tuned standard and you go to 4 thats drop C whats 5 6 and 7? octave will be back to E?

    +The Tone King I'm planning on primarily using this to drop down a half step or a whole step- should it go first or last in the chain? What placement would make chords sound the most natural?

    • @LucioHarriott
      @LucioHarriott 4 роки тому +1

      I don't have the pedal but 99% of times octave pedals are the first in the chain.

    Don't think i'd use it for recording but use it just to try stuff in different tunings then tune to it for recording. would be great live though.

    units like this are also very helpful if you are creating a demo and you don't have an actual bass guitar. i suppose you can set that pedal to get the range of a bass
    yep, please demo it with gain/distortion

    This sounds great but I need some clarification. When you turn the knob to a desired setting, does it give you a drop tuning (like the name of the pedal implies) or does it tune down to how many steps that the light corresponds to? For example, if you had it set to where the light was on the 2, would it tune your guitar down 2 steps, or only bring it down to whatever drop tuning that is? (Can't remember)

    • @unblindfoldserch
      @unblindfoldserch 10 років тому

      well, let me help you with that. The number 1 is the standar E tuning, 2 is D, 3 is F and it goes... 2 semitones every number.

    • @MetallicaFan808
      @MetallicaFan808 10 років тому

      Ok, I should have been more explicit in my original comment. I understand that, but will it change the tuning to a Standard tuning? (For example, D Standard, C Standard etc). Or will it change the tuning to a drop tuning, as the name implies? (For example, Drop D, Drop C etc)

    • @NICKWAPPERER117
      @NICKWAPPERER117 7 років тому

      MetallicaFan808 the only way you'll get a "dropped" sound is if you're dropped before using this pedal. Hope that helps....sorry for the late reply.

    Will this drop tune every note? so could I play a song in standard and then go straight to a song in drop D without it changing the sound of the other strings?

    • @MrEyelessmaggot
      @MrEyelessmaggot 10 років тому +5

      This will drop the entire guitar. You wanna look at a EVH D-tuna

  • @nimrodsasson1123

    it works nice for electric guitars and distortion
    it reduce volume and change tone a bit (remove high's)
    therefor not recommended for acoustic\piezzo guitars.

    Did anyone ever notice you can't get any feedback with this pedal engaged? I mean the good kind of feedback. If you let a note or chord ring big and loud and stand in front of your cab so it's feeding back perfect, then hit the pedal on any setting. It instantly squashes the feedback. Same thing if the pedal is already on. It just won't feed back no matter what.
    I got this pedal when it first came out and like it a lot down to about C# or C. I use it with a BE-100, a Voodoo modded DSL50, and 4 or 5 of the latest "must have" lunchboxes. I don't notice any latency really, but the "no feedback" thing is a kind of bummer.

    Does it drop the whole step down or half step ?

    • @zaamzz
      @zaamzz Рік тому +1

      i believe each number is a half step, so if you’re in standard tuning, 1=Eb, 2=D standard, 3=Db, and so on

    Does anyone knows if I tune my guitar in drop D and if I "drop it down" to the number 3 in the pedal it tune my guitar in drop C? or it goes to standard D? I really want to know!! I really need this pedal but I need to confirm that first.
    Some help here??

    • @miremaker
      @miremaker 9 років тому

      eskeider It will stay in the drop tuning, but 3 semi tones lower across all strings. It won't magically change to standard, it drops everything with that knob.

    • @unblindfoldserch
      @unblindfoldserch 9 років тому

      tnx man, I bought it 4 months ago and shit! its amazing how this pedal changes my tuning, I can go from Incubus to Between The Buried and Me in 2 secs haha!

    • @miremaker
      @miremaker 9 років тому

      Do you use it straight to the amp? I'm considering buying one, but am hesitant about using it infront of my Boss GT-6 pedal. Mostly worried about latency issues. How do you use this in your setup?

    • @unblindfoldserch
      @unblindfoldserch 9 років тому +1

      I use it as the 1st pedal on my chain, there is latency but how to tell you... like a 3% of latency probably. I haven't put the pedal as the last one on my chain but until now im very happy with it =) Go buy one! you wont regret !

    • @miremaker
      @miremaker 9 років тому

      eskeider Word, thank you for the info! I'm really leaning on it. I felt as though it would be a significant product, a must for nearly all play styles. hah sorry I didn't see the 7 month ago comment you left at first, figured I would pass the info along if you still hadn't gotten it yet. :)

    To be honest for not a whole load extra money you can get the whammy Dt which has this droptune feature, a capo effect (technically the opposite of this pedal) and all of the effects of the average whammy pedal. I have it and it is far better value

  • @bigjohnandclaudiamusic9254

    • @nimrodsasson1123

      i have it, it sounds like it cut the high's. it sounds best for electric with distortion or over drive.

    • @hienvu1714

      Don't forget that the sound you hear coming out of your acoustic guitar will be in regular tuner and the sound you hear coming out of the amp will be in a different key so you may want to wear headphones.
