Rhodes vs Rollins will be one of the defining rivalries of this era. They're both great in the ring and put on banger matches. The summer 2022 HIAC match is genuinely one of the best matches I've ever seen. It was cinematic and perfectly executed in spite of Rhodes' torn pec. I think Rollins will be the next logical contender for the WWE Championship belt down the road when he returns. He'll finally get a win over Rhodes. He was the unsung MVP of WM this year even though Rhodes, Reigns, and Rock were the obvious headliners. He wrestled well in 2 matches and got a beatdown in the last one. Would he have simply been willing to take time off & heal his injuries in early 2014, since he got the Mania main event he had always wanted & was now more willing to just do what was asked of him? I didn't realize this butterfly effect was that deep, all I knew was that Brock and Seth would've been champion and Cody might not even signed with WWE
i think this also speaks to WWE's wilingness and ability to change everything on the fly. realistically they could've just had brock take a night off on day 1 and do the roman/brock match at the rumble with brock going over. but they managed to create a wholely different story becuase of reign getting covid. great video btw
One of the unmentioned but also most subtle effects of that altered main event... due to Kevin Owens being put in that main event with Brock, who had prior to that been going after Sami, Kevin cut a promo where he proclaimed he would take out Brock for Sami...... something that was completely unprompted and made no sense because they had just gotten finishes with a major feud in 2021 that they had never come back from. But that one comment essentually swept all that hostility under the rug and, when Sami did enter into the bloodline months later, the clean slate that the KO comment gave set up the episode of the KO show that would lead to the Sami and Kevin reunion storyline. If Kevin Owens hadnt been in that main event at Day One, and Kevin had never made that comment about being soulmates with Sami Zayn, then that is another way that the entire storyline that led to WM39's main event may never have happened.
This butterfly effect is crazy. You should also do a video on the butterfly effect of that Colt Cabana podcast with CM Punk. How that one podcast episode eventually ruined their friendship and caused a complete debacle in AEW! 😱😱😱😱😱
Not only that, but Roman Reigns caughting covid caused everything. This a subsequent effect of the whole pandemic. If Covid wasn't a thing, the whole year and a half of wrestling without crowds before 2022 doesn't happen. Heel Roman Reigns probably doesn't happen. The bloodline isn't a thing. Drew has his crowning moment in front of a crowd and Clash at the Castle becomes less special. Anyway, It's a cool thing to think about. Good content as always, keep it going!
I can’t believe how good wrestling has been, this just summarised a lot of great things that have happened in the past 2 years. A few years ago i’m sure we all thought the WWE was finished in terms of story telling and nothing will ever be as good as the attitude and ruthless aggression era. Guess what? It’s not the same and it will never be the same but that’s what makes it great, the stories have been amazing and the post covid era will be known as one of the golden eras in the future
This video creeps me the fuck out and gives me goosebumps sometimes. Even with the background music. Imagine if someone went back in time, altered the past, and somehow, Vince McMahon was in charge again.
Lashley was eventually supposed to go to Wrestlemamia for the title. That's why even after the Reigns vs lesnar COVID thing happened, they still have him a 2 month title reign to try and compensate.
Also, if there was a second world title on Raw we probably would have been seeing Cody going after that against Rollins and that rushed match between Roman and Sami didn't happen at Elimination Chamber and we might have seen Sami vs Roman at Mania and Roman losing to Sami.
this is 100% FACTS!! Everything happens for a reason and I think everything happened for the good and better for WWE. Especially with HHH in charge. This all lead to a great year of 2023. Reminded me of the Attitude Era. Can't wait to see what 2024 brings!
@@heavydonkeykong5190 that's also WWE mistake have they just avoided new day returns just after big e lose he would've been fine as single wrestler till mania. After that they should've made him tag team again. More than butterfly effect it was WWE fault who immediately put big e SmackDown with new day
You could say that with every thing in terms of WWE, I think we would all be shock just about the amount of things changing behind the scenes due to WWE’s nature of volatility. Every newly signed wrestler has the chance to impact the story, every wrestler surprisingly getting over with the fans getting the push and shoving others, the amount of injuries that occurred that postponed and changes bookings and etcc…
All Vince had to do was just continue with the fatal 4 way match and have Seth Rollins win the WWE Championship. The for Lesnar vs Reigns, they should've just had Heyman come out to announce that Reigns cant compete tonight then Lesnar comes out to F'5 Heyman and tells Heyman that he will face Reigns at the Royal Rumble. The i still think everything else would fell in line the same way it actually played out.
Appreciate content but way better with how it is, Orton needed the time to get healthy. He came out and said he was in a bad way with injury he could barely get in matches with Riddle when tagging, thanks for the content always appreciated.
randy still would have taken time off anyways as his injury was more of a culmination of all of the wear and tear on his back. great video as always tho! :D
do a what if CM Punk main evented everything as WWE champion instead of Cena nd Rock main eventing everything. what would've happened, how different his career would've been, title reign nd all
Just for Big E, Cody and Roman not to be hurt and sick, I would want Roman v Brock to happen at Day 1 like planned, looking back. I know that we most likely don't get The Bloodline storyline being this good, but I believe the health of those 3 is more important. Then again, what do I know would happen instead?
Thank god for letting us experience the whole cinema, avengers like story of the bloodline against Cody that we got. All the popularity from the Rock, #wewantcody, Sami Zain, the USOs and the gigantic payoff of having Cody beating Roman at the second try with all the other „heroes“ who couldn’t get the job done, celebrating with him, all of that wouldn’t have been possible to this day. The renaissance era would‘ve likely began much later if it wasn’t for that one covid incidence. WWE would have improved non the less without Vince but HHH would have to craft storylines and characters much longer to show us long term story telling if it wasn’t for Roman already holding that titel so long by the time he got in creative charge. Therefore one could say that heelturning reigns as well as signing Cody where the last great and integral moves of the late Vince era.
Sure Cody could have finished his story in 2022. But that wouldn't feel like much. The Day 1 changed it in such a way that now Cody's story could finish in the best way possible. And I'm all for it.
He wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as he currently is. Cody would have been a reliable upper midcarder and occasional main eventer, as opposed to literal most popular babyface.
I stopped watching wwe after Roman got sick and when they were releasing everyone in 2021. I missed all of this 😢 Fiend return, Braun and Big E finally winning, the best version of Roman. I had to sit through the 2017-2019 horrid of Raw. How did it get so good after the pandemic?! Also this type of video is amazing and even caught me up to speed.
6:06 they could've had Roman win the rumble for Roman vs Brock for Universal title, the Seth as the WWE Champion do an open challenge for Night 1 main event where Cody returns and finishes the story 2 years beforehand.
@DawudGaming123 If Roman didn't get covid. Cody might already finish the story at Summerslam 2022 or even Survivor Series Wm39 and Wm40 will turn out completely different.
damn when you started talking about Theory that hit hard. I would love to have new stars. He had it all to be the next in line but sadly he will be maybe/what if
I don’t think Roman had covid. Ever since this night, I always thought they just had Roman pretend to test positive for covid because they decided not to go with the original plans. But who knows. It’s not for us to know
You're Delusional 😂 🤦♂️. Doctors check every single WWE employee as soon as they walk through the door. The doctor checked Reigns, found out he had COVID without symptoms. He was Asymptomatic, meaning he had but didn't show signs of COVID initially. So they sent him home. If you're saying he didn't have COVID , then you're accusing the doctors of Medical Malpractice 🤦♂️.
Bloodline story is ok for modern wrestling, but best storyline lol... Kane and Undertaker beats that easy. Not to mention the kayfabe and hardcore era.
The idea of the 'butterfly effect' is based on a mistaken belief about causation, specifically that every event must have a cause of corresponding magnitude. This is why we attribute the existence of the universe to a creator-god, rather than to some enormous and complex series of occurrences; the latter is far more likely, but psychologically we're hard-wired to assume the former. All this being said, it's still interesting to ask whether one or two occurrences, of the many which must have happened, had more causal power than the others. The problem is that we can continue to trace this back near-infinitely. We could, for example, claim that if Roman had turned heel before 2020 the Bloodline storyline wouldn't have happened, and Sami Zayn would never have become the star he now is. We could go back even further, and trace a causal path (however convoluted) from the moment Scott Hall arrived in WCW, or Austin delivered the now-famous 'Austin 3:16' promo (if Hall and/or Nash's contracts had run out any earlier or later HHH could have been standing there instead of Austin). (by the way, don't take this as criticism of the video; I have the kind of mind that zooms in on any philosophical material in anything)
It would be crazy if Roman actually got COVID, but Roman's body is immunocompromised due to his luekemia, and Roman showed up the very next Friday looking 100% healthy, which is why I think Roman was NEVER positive for COVID-19, but rather Vince McMahon having one of his regular last-minute-booking decisions. Vince realized in his own mind, and properly also with guidance from Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, that it would not be smart to have Roman Reigns LOSE the Universal Championship in a B-level PLE, only to win it back at Wrestlemania, ending an around 500-day title reign. And since Vince has done nothing other than push Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns to the main event scene, squashing everybody else, it wouldn't make sense to not have Roman vs Brock for one final time at Wrestlemania to unify both titles.
Sadly, Big E was essentially the sacrifice in this effect.
He was going to lose the title either way. Seth was going to win the match
@gpsingh7703 i don't think he was talking about that.

I didn't realize this butterfly effect was that deep, all I knew was that Brock and Seth would've been champion and Cody might not even signed with WWE
I still think that Cody would've signed especially since AEW is a mess rn
@@theharv1490 fair point, need a brawl out butterfly effect tbh😅
@@jdp.2knot the Brawl Out, that butterfly effect started with the Walk Out of Cody Rhodes
They should make a what if gamemode in wwe 2k based off of this, that would be so cool, Maybe we could play as Roman in this scenario
Kayfabe is the reason it can't happen.
@@Marksman_12I think they mean in the WWE games
In summary, there is an alternate universe called, What if Roman Reigns didn't get covid??
i think this also speaks to WWE's wilingness and ability to change everything on the fly. realistically they could've just had brock take a night off on day 1 and do the roman/brock match at the rumble with brock going over. but they managed to create a wholely different story becuase of reign getting covid. great video btw
I saw “The Butterfly” 🦋 effect in 2004 that’s why it’s important to make good choices.
GOD with this new booking decision with The Rock taking Cody’s spot at Mania I’m wondering if there’ll be a butterfly effect with Punk’s RR injury
This is the best wrestling channel on UA-cam, you deserve to get to 1M subs ASAP.
If there was no COVID, Bray would still be here
RIP Bray we miss you
@@theharv1490crazy to think about, even though it wasn't COVID that directly led to his passing, still it played a factor.
Roman is their cannon event
Your videos Are just different Everytime you drop I enjoy watching them the way u explain things
Man I was watching another one of your videos when this one dropped. Appreciate ya Wrestling Content Homie
Good analysis. I would still put Survivor Series 1997 as the top spot for butterfly effect, but this would be up there.
I lowkey think Lashley would’ve won the rumble in 2022 if the reigns and Lesnar Covid disaster didn’t happen
Lashley was eventually supposed to go to Wrestlemamia for the title. That's why even after the Reigns vs lesnar COVID thing happened, they still have him a 2 month title reign to try and compensate.
Well i believe aj styles would have been the perfect choice
Also, if there was a second world title on Raw we probably would have been seeing Cody going after that against Rollins and that rushed match between Roman and Sami didn't happen at Elimination Chamber and we might have seen Sami vs Roman at Mania and Roman losing to Sami.
Roman vs Sami might've been rushed but the story made sense since it was happening in Montreal
One of the most significant events in wrestling history, completely unintentionally.
this is 100% FACTS!! Everything happens for a reason and I think everything happened for the good and better for WWE. Especially with HHH in charge. This all lead to a great year of 2023. Reminded me of the Attitude Era. Can't wait to see what 2024 brings!
Most of it was for better, but the idea that Big E wouldn't have been injured is very eye opening, especially with how life threatening it was.
@@heavydonkeykong5190 that's also WWE mistake have they just avoided new day returns just after big e lose he would've been fine as single wrestler till mania. After that they should've made him tag team again. More than butterfly effect it was WWE fault who immediately put big e SmackDown with new day
Man, if Brock ended roman's reign, I'd have been pissed because it would have the classic wwe- Feeding your top stars to a part timer.
Bobby Lashley should go for another world championship run
I still think Randy would've had the 18 months off considering he'd been dealing with back issues for awhile
SuperKickStudios Awesome Video Today Man!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Appreciate content but way better with how it is, Orton needed the time to get healthy. He came out and said he was in a bad way with injury he could barely get in matches with Riddle when tagging, thanks for the content always appreciated.
WWE did Big E super Dirty
i kinda feel like vince leaving wwe also played a bit of a role in the butterfly effect. but i might be wrong
It’s crazy how all this happened and started only because Roman had Covid wow😳😳😳😳😳
randy still would have taken time off anyways as his injury was more of a culmination of all of the wear and tear on his back.
great video as always tho! :D
do a what if CM Punk main evented everything as WWE champion instead of Cena nd Rock main eventing everything. what would've happened, how different his career would've been, title reign nd all
love how unique ur videos are! much love!
moral of the story luck is the biggest factor of all
Wow great video. Concept and execution was perfect.
Randy's injury was from years of work, I think he would have left regardless.
Wow that’s wild, great video
This just popped up great work new subscriber here after this video. Thanks for the amazing content.
I really like the effort you put in making this video. Keep it up brother. Subscribed 👍👍
Awesome video bro keep it up 💪
Yo good vid could u do a doc about kalisto of u can they would be awesome keep up the great work
Stuff like this really interest me. The Butterfly Effects and The What Ifs.
Videos like this is why I have anxiety over the smallest choices in my life.
What’s our stance on Bray during this timeline?
Sure Cody could have finished his story in 2022. But that wouldn't feel like much. The Day 1 changed it in such a way that now Cody's story could finish in the best way possible. And I'm all for it.
He wouldn't be anywhere near as popular as he currently is. Cody would have been a reliable upper midcarder and occasional main eventer, as opposed to literal most popular babyface.
Roman and Cody will not cross path in the first place.
Amazing video my guy. Applause 👏
This explains it, this explains everything
big e still not wrestling 😭 it's weird not seeing him hopefully he is better
nah this video gassss def do more like dis i could watch these all day
6:06 they could've had Roman win the rumble for Roman vs Brock for Universal title, the Seth as the WWE Champion do an open challenge for Night 1 main event where Cody returns and finishes the story 2 years beforehand.
That's absolutely no way Cody gonna win the belt in his first match back.
@@World7589 I know, but it'd create a massive pop and push Cody right to the top.
@DawudGaming123 If Roman didn't get covid. Cody might already finish the story at Summerslam 2022 or even Survivor Series
Wm39 and Wm40 will turn out completely different.
@@World7589 fair enough
@@DawudKhan26 Let's not forget if the Covid wasn't a thing, Roman will never turn heel
This is the content I come to UA-cam for!
damn when you started talking about Theory that hit hard. I would love to have new stars. He had it all to be the next in line but sadly he will be maybe/what if
Okay..okay..here me out guys....." Maybe corona positive was a storyline"🐸
This makes you think of so many possibilities.
Who could've thunk that Roman catchin' the 'rona would change SO MANY PLANS!!?? Truly unbelievable!
Who would've thought that my comments on his 2022-23 vid about the butterfly effect would create this video...
Love your content man also glad it didn’t happen
This ultimately benefited Cody Rhodes in a tremendous way
Still can't get over the fact that they've done Big E that dirty that night
Also with all these occurrences one can't help but wonder if in another turn of events does Vince remain as chairman?🤔🤔🤔🤔
Randy doesn't necessarily get affected either way, his back was already bad by that point. He had to get written off to get surgery
2 videos in 3 days is insane superkick
Only complaint we have from this channel is frequently uploading videos😂😂..
But your content king🎉🎉
appreciate that man🙏🏽
Bloodline story is ok for modern wrestling, but best storyline lol...
Kane and Undertaker beats that easy. Not to mention the kayfabe and hardcore era.
Now we have more things getting changed like The Rock vs Roman Reigns being scrapped and Rock turning it into the Final Boss
Make a video on jeff jarrett's reign of terror in TNA.
Damn this makes me love and admire Big E even more
