Hello!!! If the baby has any concerning symptoms then send screen then- otherwise when your institution sends the newborn screen- so usually 1-7 days if life is the first one.
my baby is now 12 days old.hi was daiagnose with congenital hypothairodism at 10 days old.his treatnent was start at 11 days old.soo is it too late to daiagnosed and start the treatment..i am bangladeshi.but live in france..please send ne reaply
Blood transfusions are more likely to produce false negatives (ie a normal TSH rather than too high). Galactosemia is the classic one missed with a blood transfusion. Always try to remember sending the blood before a blood transfusion!
