Shahid Chaudhry just does not know, but pretends to know. If someone can find Imran Aftab, the only living early friend of Mazhar, they would get to know how Mazhar Tibbi got started.

Kindly do a detailed podcast on the need for Dams in Pakistan. According to a NEPRA report (Published in Dawn in March 2023), the cost of producing electricity through hydro was only 7 Rs per unit while using furnace oil it was around 50 Rs and even for solar it was around 25.
I understand the issue is controversial but there must be areas where Dams can be constructed without political and provincial backlash.
Expensive energy is the biggest hurdle to growth in Pakistan. We import expensive fuel which is our largest import. This drives the price of dollar upwards and causes even more inflation. I believe if we could somehow generate another 20,000 MW of hydro energy, the fortunes of this country would change InshAllah. A news report last year also mentioned the viability of Katzarah and Bungi Dam (combined 20,000 plus MW) and a Russian consortium offer to build Katzarah Dam.

The world is moving away from hydel power dams they are an environmental disaster and require large displacement of people. Also, they require billions in upfront investment. Take years to be completed, sometimes decades. Nuclear is the future of electricity production.

I remember in one incident a Suzuki Bolan carrying cash, perhaps for some bank, was attacked by Mazhar Tibbi near Services Hospital. In those days there were no armoured vehicles for carrying cash that we have nowadays. He killed the security guards and the driver and looted the cash.

جب مظہر تبّی کا اینکاوؑنٹر ہوا تھا ان دنوں مٙیں لاہور میں رہائش پذیر تھا اسی دور میں ایک بار صبح گیارہ بجے کیولری گراوؑنڈ لاہور میں مین روڈ پر مٙیں نے اور میرے دوست نے بھولا سنیارا کو اپنی آنکھوں سے اپنے مخالفین پر کلاشنکوف کے برسٹ چلاتے دیکھا تھا یہ حملہ بھولا سنیارا نے الیاس جٹ کے بندوں پر کیا تھا اور بھولا اور اس کے دوست نے گاڑی میں بیٹھے بیٹھے کلاشن سے فائرنگ کی تھی اور فرار ہوگئے تھے اور فائرنگ بھی ایک پارکڈ گاڑی پر کی تھی لیکن صرف ڈرائیونگ سیٹ پر بیٹھا آدمی زخمی ہوا تھا اگلے دن ہمیں اخبار سے یہ سب تفصیلات معلوم ہوئ تھیں کہ فائرنگ کرنے والے کون تھے اور جن پر فائرنگ ہوئ تھی وہ کون تھے ۔
