I’ve run mine for couple of years been tuned running 20psi of boost egts are good copped a flogging never had a problem mint product I paid 350 I think off the top of my head.
I upgraded to the Forefront intercooler 12 months ago, had the same problem. Also found after a week or two of running it there were pin holes in the welds, unfortunately by the time it was fitted it was out of warranty so I have to cover the cost myself which could be close to the same as the intercooler was to buy. Leak test it straight away to be sure!
Have ran one of these in my car for couple years now and seems to do the job fine and cars running much more power and boost than factory. I would like to upgrade to a cross country or hpd eventually though
Ik it’s a bit late but I installed mine a few weeks ago and that’s what as you mentioned loosen the hose clamp and pushed it in and the cover fit perfectly 😂

Forefront is just an eBay name for a importer. Most of their stuff is just rebadged stuff everyone else is selling.
The alignment & quality issue makes me think this was made in the same Chinese factory as your Hilux snorkel.🙄👍👍

What was your overall opinion, is it worth buying ? Is your client still running the intercooler ?

Weird... my plastic cover fits lovely... 🤷♂️ with great suction from the scoop cover when opening the bonnet up.

Can’t you loosen the 4 bolts and the hose clamp. Pull the intercooler back a couple mm and retighten everything back?
