The "microtransactions" people are complaining about are all one time purchases, and not necessarily in order to play the game. Also i remember that the original dragon's dogma had the same problem, but yet i didn't hear people complaining about it. 2:38 portcrystals are found around the world and as quest rewards. 4:12 I think the reason why people are complaining isn't the microtransactions and more to do with the denuvo and the frame rates of the game.

There's one thing you forgot to mention Fleeka, it's that your character is tied to a server and have only one character which means that if you want to start the game again, you'll have to delete the save. Hell I don't even really mind the Denuvio but the poor optimization in an age where badly optimized games don't run on my systems, it' gets a pass from me until they optimize or in ten years when the tech has advanced to let me brute force it. By then I'll be seeing sales that would let me buy it practically for nothing.
@@angellara7040 I clearly heard him say that all the DLC stuff was 'time saving content'. That's corpo speak for 'Pay for advantage' or 'pay to win' which was normalized back with Mordor Shadow of War and THEIR ingame cash shop. So the game clearly offers an advantage to people with more money then time or sense. The good news is that we DID watch the same video and we BOTH agree that you can just play the game to get everything you need in game. As does Fleek in the video. Which to me is a point in its favor that I can play the game and just ignore all the 'paid time savers'. Again thanks Fleek! The only thing stopping me is that the game is not optimized and I don't have the cash to drop on powerful enough hardware to brute force it. By the time powerful enough hardware becomes cost effective enough for me to buy, it will likely be 10 years down the line when I can get massive savings on the game because of how old it is.

The precedent that this sets is the issue, if we let it go, they will attempt to keep pushing the bar higher and higher with each new release. In fact this might have been a dry run to study the backlash and take notes about how people feel about it, how various kinds of people react to it and most importantly how much time it takes for people to forget everything
Tbh, they put the same exact shit in Dragon's Dogma. Wakestones, RC, all that shit. They could, but they won't. Right from character creation you're shown a bunch of instances of them having deliberately made the game worse. Female characters? Can't have that! have to be "trans inclusive". Short characters? Despite being *fully programmed in* Capcom put a deliberate, artificial, block on it. Actual breast size variance? Also fully implemented, then blocked off from player use. You can literally renable it with just a memory poke. Game is garbage because of Capcom's unforced errors.
Lack of regional pricing is what killed this game for me. It costs exactly 85 $ where I live and it is absolutely fucking nuts. Its 3.2x times the price of any AAA before that. Imagine if you lived in USA, and games suddenly became priced at 192 $. Never in my life I saw such a price tag for a game.
Worst part is about the game is the lack og satisfying end fights. Especially the "final" final one. Who thought that a sorta cutscene covered in credits makes for a good final fight?! But then i remembered; this is Capcom, so the game is probably just unfinished and will get one later for the low price of 30 bucks. Anyone remember Asuras Wrath?

The busty wizard strat still working from dragons dogma 1
I’d like to be serious for a moment, when they add these micro transactions into a game it puts the suspicion in a player that the game has been made artificially more difficult/more grinding to get people to buy these shortcuts and bonuses, they rob the gamer of some of their enjoyment before the game even starts.
Well, times up, bring on the wolves.
I miss the time where cheats used to be free.
I just know in 3-5 years your voice is gonna get deeper and as long as you keep up the drill sergeant esque accent and this exceptionally quality sense of humor you will become a million+ subscriber UA-camr legend. I cant wait to see you succeed!
Thank you Fleek for reminding me that I need to go play Helldivers 2 today.
Enjoy the gunships and walkers.
Yours is the first channel YT unsubscribed me from, you must be doing good work, thank you brother.
Finally, a review with some sense.😎
Capcom entered their Crapcom era with Dragon's Dogma. It's fitting we get Crapcom 2 with Dragon's Dogma 2.
Oh, guess it's time to start another stealth archer in MTX laden Skyrim again.
Eh, still not calling them crap. Because uhh..the resident evil games been real fun and devil may cry 5.
@SeasoningTheObese cry about it some more.
I always love such comments, because they most likely come from people who consider warzone and fortnite good games.
Preach, brother! From what little I could run this game, it's just what I hoped for for years gameplay wise, BUT it's a goddamn slide show. I just want to run my game Capcom, PLEASE have mercy on a lil guy!
At least you had a slideshow, I had a perpetual 15 minute trial which I had to renew by launching the game again and again.

Funny enough (not really funny) it was close to a tornado a year, and some change ago. The city of Griffin is still recovering from it.
I used to work at that UPS store. I know it's random unsolicited information, but I wasn't expecting to see that.
DMC V's micros let you spend real money to buy red orbs, and yet noone cried bout it. Honestly, it feels like DD2 won the twitter loto on being a target for the hate mob.
@@aliekexie8467pretty sure people did have problems with it back then too, it just wasn't as loud as this or the increasingly numerous cosmetics you can buy in the newer monster hunters. Either way, people don't want them there and I don't know why anyone would go to bat for Capcom on these things.
"This company is running a scam, but I'm so driven to consume product without question I'll defend it."

Very informative and fair! This is actually some good games journalism right there!
There's one thing you forgot to mention Fleeka, it's that your character is tied to a server and have only one character which means that if you want to start the game again, you'll have to delete the save. On consoles that's fine, but on steam Denuvo will lock your steam account and after few times your steam acc gets deleted. I don't know how the hell did the Crapcom thought it was acceptable.
Other than that, pretty funny vid : )
That's not what Denovu does. That comes from a steam user who messed up and didn't turn off steam cloud turning his save file into an abomination and there's a very easy to press new game option now
@@angellara7040 wait what? So I can have more than one save then?
@@ponczos_2293yes
@@ponczos_2293 no but you can press new game to delete your save so no chance of doing what the other guy did
@@angellara7040 ok I get. Still, it's scummy what Crapcom did with the saves, Denuvo and micro transactions

I was just thinking as I’m watching “hey you know what game doesn’t do this? helldivers” and then you go mention Helldivers. I’m pretty sure those guys have actually done multiple patch releases in a single day to address new problems that crop up.
I thought we’d be stuck with getting stuck in big bodies forever but they jacked up the speed they decay to where it’s not an issue. But there are three more, but those will be addressed by tomorrow and as I’m writing this at least the Pc crash I was referencing has a work around to address. Love this community.
We making it out of denouvo with this one
I'll be real with you brother, but Denuvo is not what made RE8 run like it did(infact, even the crackers said it was CAPCOM DRM's fault--and it was.)
I tried to warn people, they did the same thing back in DD1, people saw the rift crystal packs and thought "its premium currency"
So when dragons dogma dark arisen 2: rise darker comes out on ps6 im gonna be excited
Huh. That's actually good to know Fleek. Thanks!
I might consider this when it's 90% on sale in like 10 years. But it's nice to know they at least TRIED to make it playable despite their greed.
The game is playable
@@angellara7040 Not to me. I don't think my comps right now can handle the specs and he's stated that they didn't optimize the game so it's a wash ether way.
But it is nice to know that despite the ACTUAL pay-2-win stuff going on, you can still play the game and get everything you need in it.
@@graveyardshift6691 what p2w? Did we watch the same video?
"Because of course people are getting pissed about micro-transactions here - all they can do is stare at the Store page... because at least THAT will run at 30FPS!"
I wasn't ready for that one, holy crap.
Never stop calling out horrible business practices and endlessly slaughtering them at the alter, Fleek.
And don't stop rewarding those that practice great ones like you did by highlighting the Helldivers developers! Those updates and patches cost a ton of money, and the rate of their implementation clearly shows that they value their audience more than Ubisoft and Bethesda ever did with things like Assassin's Creed: Unity and Starfield.
That precedent was set years ago, pimp. It's endemic to the system.

Plus when they did the "GOTY" version (i.e. Dark Arisen), they just bundled up everything together anyway.

Always be on the lookout for Vanillaware games, pimp.
Dragon's Crown Its a Vanillaware game. Their older games are pretty nicely drawn. Odin Sphere: Leifthrasir and
Muramasa: The Demon Blade are pretty good too though those two are platformers. btw all those games are trapped on the sony platform but Dragon's Crown runs pretty well on PC

Here's a tip: the PS Vita emulator works surprisingly decently, and has the most conplete versions of Muramasa and Odin Sphere that you could find.
That wolf bit with the pawns healing you to pralong your tourter happens every time a wolf comes in from no where and runs off with you. It must be damn revenge or something
Rofl 😂🤣as always quality entertainment.. and yeah CAPCOM missed the opportunity to make this game goty.. now everyone will have a bad impression without even touching the game.. sure they can still fix it.. but hate bandwagoners is a trend nowadays.
The dragon fight was already in the game, making the dragon 4
Three times the size would just make it unfun with melee classes not having the ability to hit the boss, just like in dragons dogma 1

Those have always been irrelevant. The whole point of a game crack is to bullshit the game into thinking it's legal while it's actually flying on Brandon's lap to Epstein's fun town.
The wolves being able to drag you into the bushes under every circumstance when you can shoulder charge a giant cyclops and stagger it was the most infuriating part of the combat system. Glad to see I wasn't the only one struggling lmao

The one rumor that I heard but wasn't addressed was that the game is always online, in the same way that The Crew was. The central server is gone, the game is gone. If that's actually true then that's the biggest issue.
It is but isn't. There are features that are lost because of being offline but the game is playable still. Like connecting to the wider Pawn servers. Pawns being the player made characters. I can imagine you can likely still hire the Capcom made ones

People who complained about microtransactions are the people buying a Capcom game for the first time. Those of us who played latest Resident Evils, DMC5 know that those "DLCs" are absolutely worthless. Still not a good look for Capcom, but I'd rather have this over "pre-order and play a week earlier" or "pre-order and get this overpowered weapon".
The "pre-order and play a week earlier" was peak comedy in Starfield, actually. Since everybody knew that the Bethesda's engine is too shit to implement a proper DRM, you could get the game off the seven seas literally two hours after it got released in the early access, while paying, but non-premium customers had to wait... how many days was it, 3 or 7?
And the people defending them are the same ones who criticize Ubisoft, Activision, and Bandai for having the same MTXs in their games.
