You're where you need to be brother. I know you had other dreams and aspirations that were crushed, but I believe everything happens for a reason. The pain you went through was not fair but I want to think you'll get much more joy and happiness doing the thing you were born to do which is obviously to sing.

I don't know how I only just found this but I needed it.
I started off this year with a plan, i was in collage in South Carolina studying marine biology and was going into 4th semester. A month in, I came to the realization that I was in the wrong place doing the wrong things. It was a hard realization and I left where I was feeling angry and disappointed in myself. I felt like I had failed what I when down there to do. I felt ashamed, angry, and disappointed with myself and though people kept telling me not to, I couldn't help but feel like a failure. I came back home to Illinois and I tried to put my pieces back into a somewhat correct place but they just would not fit.
I applied to job after job, getting a few interviews that I was really looking forward to and kept getting turned down. In April, I applied somewhere on a whim just to apply and didn't think anything of it. I ended up getting an interview on the same day as a different interview for a place I thought I would be perfect. I went to both interviews and obviously I held out hopes for one but ended up getting turned down. Two days later, the job I didn't think I was qualified for at all wanted to hire me. I was happy but extremely scared. I started as a part-timer and everyone was amazing, understanding and very helpful in teaching me. I had some major moments of struggle at first but the days got easier bit by bit.
I had officially started at the end of April and by the end of September a full time position open up. I talked to my manager and a few co workers and they said to apply so I did. I didn't hear anything for weeks and even watched them interview a couple other people and felt a little dejected, however my manager told me they still wanted me. I started the full time position in November and its been an adjustment but its getting better. Around the same time I started in April I made the decision to go back to school online at a slower pace, and so far if has been going well.
My life has taken a drastic turn from what I planned but I can honestly say I'm happy. I still have days where I'm still feel like I failed or like I disappointed people but its getting better.
When I first heard this I started to cry and felt like it was God telling me I'm OK, its going as planned and its hurts but it's going to be ok.

I wanted to be a doctor since I can remember. It was my childhood dream. Life happened and I have a different career. 27 years later, I love the career I fell into. Life is like that sometimes. You make decisions as best you can with the information you have at that time, but things change as you grow and learn more about yourself. I can see why you felt like you failed or disappointed others. You were so close to finishing, but better you found out then than 20 years later in a job and path you hate. Do work that you love. I attest that it's true that when you do the work you love, it's not work. It's a calling and work becomes fulfilling. You'll be scared and still have doubts and uncertainties but it's how you grow and improve. Good luck and I wish you well today and in your future.
Just want to say just found your music and I can see this going somewhere I mean you showed up on my For You page.And I love your voice and your message it’s great to hear a song of how exactly it feels it comes and goes but in the end I found God is why I’m here and I grew up in the church but have struggled with being hurt by the church but now I know it’s not the people it’s Jesus I need to put my whole trust in.

Blake this touches my heart in a sense my son Romeo Mcknight has your story but over years! It started his senior year after committing to Iowa Hawkeyes he tore his ACL didn’t play senior year, got to Iowa red shirted and then tore his PCL in opposite knee putting his dreams further apart he wasn’t sure he could get through this one but he fought through and did it. They didn’t know if he would ever play again when he rehabbed he moved on to illinois state university and he shined so bright there 2 years… his 5th and senior year he was to set school records , first team all American ….and then Covid hit they canceled the season!! He fought to find a team who was playing one team fought just as hard to get him the university of Charlotte, NC he had 7 days to learn the Defense! They only played 5 games due to covid positive tests and he still made the East West Shrine Bowl game but they canceled the game due to covid!!!!! Durring the prior year he had a torn meniscus … yet surgery #3 but still recovered off season and played!!! The determination of this young man just is amazing.. his faith!!! He did not get picked up in the draft but was an unsigned free agent and went to the Cleveland Browns. He gave his best despite the rep opportunity was small they had 8 DE fighting for positions along with one of the best in the league. Throughout it all he never gave up!!! They cut him, a year later the CFL picked him up he just finished his first year and moving onto his second but at 3 surgeries the other NFL teams didn’t want to take the chance on his past injuries and the end of this past season he tore his other MCL now 4 surgeries in it’s hard to have hope !! The plan was to play hard for a few years show that he could stay injury free and play hard with professionals!! After all this he stays strong and never gives up his faith! And to start off he was only the second to even get to the NFL after having a birth defect called Erbs Paulsey he was a state 220 lb champion in wrestling he has been defeating all the odds I just want to see him make it back to his dreams of playing in the NFL he played 2 pre season games but cut 2 days before the third because a player got injured and they needed to bring another which meant he got cut /… so you are truly blessed I just wanted to share our story with you! Praise God he is still playing professional football but I hope I see him get his true dream! That’s k you for this song it is beautiful he has almost gave up at times this kid has been through it for sure it’s like everything that can go wrong does for him and he has such heart, such a great soul and a fighter! Everything I’ve talked about doesn’t even touch everything he has had to overcome but I couldn’t be prouder! He has more heart and drive than anyone I know and he is a baller if he could just get the chance to show it 💕 keep inspiring people and God bless you !!! ❤️ you are so talented and blessed!!

wow. such a great song. when I was younger I moved from Ohio to North Carolina I was fine because I was younger and I made new friends and was fine. because I was so young when we moved I lost all my friends in Ohio. we have lived in North Carolina for about 7 years. I made a few great friends there. I got really connected at church. everything was great. I loved my life, but then just recently we moved back to Ohio to be closer to family.
I decided to do Liberty University Online Academy for my 8th grade year for a transition year and I am not very social so I have absolutely no friends. I have a lot of family so that's nice, but it is so hard not having friends. I have absolutely no structure this year with the crazy move so I am barely passing my classes and I am fearing the future right now. my mental health has gotten bad, and my family is slowly breaking.
I don't know where I am going to school for high school next year. I have options but I am scared of what will happen at each of those schools.
I am currently taking my midterms and I decided I needed a little break so I went downstairs to talk with my grandma and mom and have some toast. we started talking about school and what next year will look like and no matter where I am I will do fine and thrive and make friends no matter where I am, and that God will lead me to wherever I need to be.
I came back upstairs to do some more testing and this song came on. God will lead me to where I need to be. weather that is at a new school, the school i used to go to, or the school my sister goes to now. God will lead me where I need to be. God will lead us all to where we need to be.
