I’ve been dying to play Wind Waker again, but this actually wouldn’t be bad. It’s one of the greatest games ever, but those N64 graphics are VERY hard to look at now. Also it would be nice to see the speedruns, now that the original has been glitched beyond recognition.
I'd love to see an Ocarina of Time/Majora's mask remake double set. I think that is the launch title to hope for. I can't see any reason against it, except that Nintendo is always unpredictable. I'd be really happy with some remakes of the handheld Zeldas too.
They just released a 2D Zelda though, so I think they might do a 3D one next...since a new game is still far away, Ocarina would be the most likely, having the oldest first remake (13 years old by now) and needing a definitive HD version that's also playable on the TV again.
If they’re doing a remake for a 3D Zelda, it’s obviously going to be Ocarina of Time. It’s a legendary game, one of the most influential and recognizable ever made, a remake of it to show off the Switch 2’s graphical capabilities makes sense. I’d prefer a brand new game of course but the latest 3D and 2D Zeldas are so recent I can’t imagine we get a new one for a few years
Agree, Ocarina also has the oldest remaster with the 3DS one being 13 years old already itself by now. It needs a definitive HD version that's finally playable on a TV again, not a tiny screen.
Problem with this is they may want to wait for the 40th anniversary for Zelda, which is Next year. I'm still hoping we get a OoT Remake but from what majority are speculating its probably a Windwaker/Twilight princess which is still fine to me
Twilight Princess, being my favorite Zelda game overall, would be my preferred candidate. Mainly because, contrary to what you said, no, the graphics have not aged well. Wind Waker looks far better by comparison due to the cel-shading and not aiming for realistic textures. But if this is even a possibility, I don't see it happening until next year since that would coincide with its 20th anniversary...damn. If Nintendo wants to move hardware at launch, a true Ocarina remake would do it. It has the name recognition and nostalgia factor and the sales prove that it could work. OOT3DS sold almost as many copies as the original. Here's an interesting thing to note though. April is the 25th anniversary of Majora's Mask. Nintendo has their next direct planned for April. Coincidence? Yeah most likely lol. But it's fun to think about. Whatever it is, I would just like to get back to the classic Zelda formula. Or even something new, but just not dumbed down like BOTW/TOTK. Those games were definitely fun and tickled my exploration itch, but I want longer dungeons and more complex/challenging puzzles. Not 100+ mini-dungeons with slight variations of the same puzzles over and over again or temples that can be cleared in 15 minutes or less without even trying to speedrun.
First of all if they released an oot remake with the switch 2, it would definitely push sales which is why I can see this. Ocarina of time is the greatest game ever made and if they came out with a remake …. man that would be legendary. I would be so so happy. I play it on my 3DS to this day.
I still have my N64 and still play OoT and MM, I even have a 3DS that I use when traveling for work they are the only two games I can see being remade... When OoT came out it was seen as a graphic masterpiece at the time
People could just download Zelda Classic for that. It's free, and it was released 25 years ago, so people have had time to create a ton of fanmade zelda games based on the first zelda since then. Including better graphics, new items, randomizers, etc etc. You could play a randomized zelda right now with 5 overworlds to travel between and hundreds of different dungeons all containing different items, etc.
I agree. Remaking the classic that started it all would be great. If they did the remake treatment with Link's Awakening, they can do it with the first one.
I'm sick of people begging for 3D Zelda remakes/ports. OoT came out on N64, was available on GC Collector's Edition, available on Wii via backwards compatibility and Virtual Console, available on WiiU via Virtual Console, remade for 3DS, and available on Switch via Nintendo Online. Majora's Mask came out on N64, was available on GC Collector's Edition, available on Wii via backwards compatibility and VC, available on WiiU VC, remade for 3DS, and available on Nintendo Online. Wind Waker came out on GC, was available for Wii via backwards compatibility, and was remade for WiiU. Twilight Princess came out on GC, was ported to Wii and had backwards compatibility, and was remade for WiiU. We don't need 3D Zelda ports and remakes every time a new Nintendo console comes out. When you pay $60 for a shitty remake/port, you just reinforce Nintendo's poor business practices, which makes everyone else suffer. DKC Returns HD, for example (Nintendo didn't remaster it, but they still published it...and with a price tag of 60 DOLLARS). I think cheaper remakes of the NES Zeldas would appeal to a wide audience (people claim those games have "aged poorly", but I disagree). Personally, I'd want to see the Oracle games remade in the style of the Link's Awakening remake. They could also make the canceled third Oracle game (Oracle of Secrets) in the same style.
Gonna toss out a name not many would consider. I’d love a Four Swords Adventure remake. Really underrated title that deserves more love and recognition.
I been saying this for awhile now. With the internet making connectivity easier, this is a game that would do a lot better than when it came out on GC.
@@MrBrownsugar85OoT came out in 1998, and OoT3D came out 13 years later in 2011. That's over 13 years ago, so more time has passed from 3D→today than from OG→3D, and so I think another remake in HD would be great for 2025.
if they do remake _Ocarina of Time,_ I hope it does more than give it a visual and UI overhaul… like the story, settings, characters, etc. should be the same, but the progression structure and dungeons themselves should be reimagined… like the ‘Forest Temple’ would still be an abandoned mansion in the deep forest, with four Poes that need to be hunted down to reach the boss, probably with twisting hallways and such, but aside from that, the puzzles should be completely new. and then, most importantly… I want a new game plus mode where you can play the new version of the game with the classic N64 art style 👌
@@Sam_T2000 yeah I agree that it should be a remake. I am hoping closer to how Resident Evil 2 was remade, and not just them taking Ocarina of Time and giving it updated graphics. I would want them to actually remake the game and expand it.
@ - yeah… I’ve already played the original dozens of times, I don’t know how much improves graphics can add to the experience, so if they’re going to remake it, then go all the way and make it a new experience.
@ - they made changes to the _Resident Evil_ and _Final Fantasy 7_ remakes… all classics, and they’ve all been received quite well. and I don’t think re-imagining the gameplay dishonors the originals… but if the goal is just to preserve the original classics, why upgrade the visuals at all? I would like them to release the original N64 games in a collection, ideally physical, in HD, maybe with some UI improvements like the “HD” remasters we’ve already gotten… but I just don’t see the point in splitting the difference 🤷🏻♂️
If it is Ocarina of Time then who developed it? Nintendo's Zelda team would most likely be working on a follow up to Tears of the Kingdom, but Grezzo has been working on Echoes of Wisdom. No other studio has made a Zelda game since like 2004.
You kind of glossed over the fact that Link Between Worlds is a spiritual remake of Link to The Past, as in a remake/spiritual successor. I could definitely see a dual packaged Oracle game remake similar to Link’s Awakening, but a 3D title like OOT is more likely.
I'll be honest, I feel like OOT is a pretty strong candidate. For a launch title, it's unlikely to be a 2D Zelda, and OOT never got a proper HD treatment. I've always thought that OOT would get another one someday or another. I would love for it to be OOT + MM but highly unlikely. MM alone would be a major surprise, although I feel like injecting just a bit of the BOTW formula in MM would probably be fantastic, moreso than doing the same to OOT. ALTTP does have the name recognition for a launch title too, but if they go that route, they would probably remake it in 3D and you know what ? I kind of dig the idea. Having ALTTP play in the vein of OOT/MM/TP would be amazing. Oracles and Minish are probably unlikely as, not being done by Nintendo initially, I doubt they would transition them to the 3D gameplay a launch title likely would have. ALTTP was initially done by Nintendo and put a lot of stepping stones for OOT, which is why it's so appropriate for a 3D remake, Oracles and Minish not so much.
Ocarina would be the one that would make people's heads explode but that would be way more work to do justice. if we're getting Prime 4 and a new 3D Mario i'm guessing it's something slightly smaller scale like ALttP with Echoes of Wisdom/Link's Awakening Remake style graphics
I wanna see a modern Zelda 2 remake. The action rpg direction that the game went in could work very well today. I also would like an oracle of ages and seasons remake with the Link’s awakening treatment.
A loose reimagining, like BotW was to Zelda 1, would be a great way to push the series forward in a way that contrasts with the slower pace of BotW/TotK. Bring back some old Zelda conventions while modernizing 2's vision.
To remake Ocarina of time you would have to do something similar to what Capcom did with Resident Evil 4 Remake. Familiar and really true loving and close to the source material as posible.
One of my fantastical ideas is a game that combines Zelda 1 and 2 since it's all iin the same game. Give us a reason for the Zelda 2 temples to exist. What is the origin of the underground labyrinths of Lesser Hyrule? How are they safe places to store the Triforce of Wisdom pieces from Ganon's minions? For the Guardians in the temples, give then a little personality. They're not really "enemies", but beings sworn to protect the statues from the unworthy. And what the flip are those statues?
I’m not sure if it’ll be the one that’s remade/remastered next, but the argument that OOT was remastered too recreantly on 3DS doesn’t really hold water. Ocarina of Time 3D is now about a year older than the original N64 version was when 3D released.
i doubt it'd happen but i'd kinda like a spirit tracks remake given it is 2025 and it is the railways 200th anniversary maybe it could show off the mouse capabilities for the new joycons but if we get spirit tracks we'd probably have to get PH at some point since that's kinda part of Nico's story at the start of the game along with a WW remake/remaster/port or anything at some point down the line
When it comes to remakes, I think what makes the most sense in considering how accessible the original game is and how outdated the graphics are. Based on that, I think either: Ocarina of Time (Majora's Mask with it I would hope), Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. The latter 2 because their last console they could be played on was the Wii U which was not very popular and quite a long time ago at this point. Ocarina, because the previous remake came out in 2011 and no one really has or plays 3ds anymore. I know it's available on the N64 system on switch but that's the N64 graphics with it. Plus, a new and improved Ocarina of Time with new side quests and story elements and amazing graphic design would be the most hype thing they could do as far as a remake for a game
I reckon it will either be: -A remaster collection of WW and TP as they were some of the few WiiU games that were never ported to the switch. -An OoT remake as you say (honestly I could see it being more of a remaster similar to TP Hd but with upgraded textures to show off the Switch 2). - Lastly, I honestly think a remastered port of BotW with upgraded textures to show off the Switch 2 is not out of the question. It will be over 8 years since BotW by the time the Switch 2 releases after all, and Nintendo does seem to adore BotW’s world.
Ocarina of Time. Expand the map, but don’t make it open world. Add more to dungeons since most of us know them like the back of our hand, and make the combat more challenging for us veteran gamers.
Nobody is talking about this option but me. I want a Full semi-open world Remake of the first original Legend of Zelda game. It should be something like BotW or TotK, NOT like the kiddie remakes of Link’s Awakening or Echoes/Wisdom, but with graphics closer to Twilight Princess HD. Also, I think it should have Darker themes and a Hookshot to use.
I think WW or TP are the most likely since their remasters were on the Wii U and that console didn't sell. So I could see them re-releasing them on switch 2 kinda like they did with MK 8 on the switch
I would love an A Link To The Past remake since it was my first Zelda. Or, a remake for Adventure of Link more metroidvania and with drawing art style (like "Zelda 2 retold trailer" video that is on youtube, it is beautiful).
I think at most 2 years (OoT), usually rather 1 year or even a launch title. And we get Zelda games more often in recent years, we almost got a title every year now for the last 10-15 years.
I would LOVE a Zelda 1 or 2 remake it's one of my most wanted games for the Switch 2 but realistically they'll do OOT or Breath of the Wild to show of the power of the Switch 2.
Remake the Oracle games, as an extra special treat (though I know they won't do it) actually finally make the third game they were supposed to make back in the day and include it in the package.
i think an ocarina of time remake would be a really bad idea. expanding the map and adding a load of side quests would not allow anyone to experience the game like it is brand new. we could only experience ocarina of time as a new game when it was released in 1998. a full-blown ocarina of time remake would have Gen Z scratching their head and asking what the hype is about- that's because Gen Z have already experienced ocarina of time's gameplay and DNA in other games (indeed, OOT is one of the most influential games ever made), so it wouldn't even be a new experience in Gen Z's mind. the correct way for Gen Z to experience OOT is to play the original 1998 version, or the 3DS remaster (the remaster just added a fresh coat of paint to the game to make the ancient graphics less jarring, which was absolutely the right approach). playing the original version allows a younger audience to put themselves in the place of an audience from 1998, and allows them to have some appreciation of the impact that the game would have had on an audience that had never seen a living, breathing, 3D world before. but doing a full blown remake... that would never help anyone to understand the impact OOT had when it was first launched, and it will not allow an older crowd to experience it as a new game.
I belive anyone who didn't buy a wii u is at the real fault for not experiencing wind waker. I hope Nintendo never brings it to new platforms. I think its Nintendo way of saying too bad for not supporting them in the wii u era.
Oot doesn’t need new sidequests and a bigger map, it’s already perfect and that would just bloat the experience by adding unnecessary things. They should just improve the graphics and add tighter modernized controls.
I would just be happy if ANY Zelda got a full on remake, shows that we are due for many if the game sells well. Smartest would be a 4k botw but I really really hope its OoT or Twilight Princess!
My money is on it being their cash cows BotW/TotK optimized for the improved hardware in a single package. A complete retelling of LttP in 3D would be pretty sweet, but I don't think it will be anything like that because of their plans to stick with altering their format.
there arent many if any 3D zelda games that need a remake, but i could see a link to the past or the oracle games coming back. zelda 2 could be interesting
Personally, I would love to see a Twilight Princess remaster* but if we were to get more of a "remake" for a game, then i think Wind Waker would be perfect as I feel like that game not only has the ability to wow us with updated graphics on the new hardware (I mean just look at the water in a game like sea of thieves) but there is also SO much they COULD add to that game if they wanted. Nintendo was limited with time AND hardware capabilities when WW came out.
Did you forget about the HD version? They already did improve all they wanted to improve and it's a great version that looks great with the artstyle being timeless.
I think it could be something like BotW 4k. The Zelda team recently released TotK and Grazzo EoW so I don't think either has a full-on remake of OoT ready (could be wrong)
My wish-come-true would be a 2d HD remake of aLttP. I know remakes are supposed to use 3D models to convince some people they're worth the money, but I really love how the og game managed to feel like an anime production at the time, and would rather see a modern rendition of that idea with high quality, hand-drawn animations, painted textures and all. (Also, I feel there's a beautiful conversation between 2D aLttP and 3D aLbW that would get a bit lost in the event of a 3D aLttP) Not that I really think that's going to happen of course
There was some noise that Nintendo showed BotW as a tech demo on Switch 2. So there's that. That or a re-release of Wind Waker HD since the Wii U sold like crap. From a commercial point of view it makes sense, even if such a re-release brings barely anything new to the table. A remake or remaster of a 2D Zelda seems quite unlikely since we Echoes of Wisdom was released only a couple of months ago. Or it can be ported to the Switch 2 as well...
I want an Ocarina of Time remake but PLEASE let it have the realistic colors, dark lighting, and grim atmosphere of the N64 version not the sanitized fairy tale 3DS one! If not that then remake Twilight Princess and make it look as good as that E3 Wii U 2011 tech demo!
As much as I like your ideas behind a Ocarina remaster, that seems highly unlikely. I know they did a remaster for the 3DS in 2011 but they already did Master Quest before that. I dont think they will be remaking Ocarina every ten years. I also dont see how likely it is that they will be remastering the original handheld ones. My speculation would be that they are going to release a remaster of both Ocarina and Majoras Mask together and then continue making regular Zelda games that continue the franchise.
Based on Aonuma’s not subtle hints (talking about Rauru) there’s definitely something OoT lined up. Just not sure if it’s going to be ready at launch, as it’s more likely a remake not remaster. They could have WW and/or TP for launch and most of us would buy the system for that. BotW in higher definition isn’t attractive to me at all (unless there’s new content).
remarking Adventure of Link is something I doubt would happen with Nintendo remaking The Legend of Zelda first. The Oracle games while a good option aren't nearly as popular as other Zelda games that would also do well for a remake/remaster. Wind Waker and Twilight Princess as we already know already were given remasters and I don't think enough time has passed yet for them to get a remade. The games would take at least 4-5 years each and unless Nintendo was willing to spend big money to develop them at the same time (which they might considering how much they've been making the last 7 years) we would have to wait a good while before getting both. Ocarina of Time I believe is the best and most likely option: it's by far the most iconic of the Zelda games, it's been around long enough to merit a complete overhaul (you can tell this by the fact that fans still love WW and TP as they are and while they would like a remake of them they aren't clambering for Nintendo to do it), It's popularity would be an automatic money well for Nintendo, and it might be able to bring new players to the series that were brought in by BOTW a closer look at the older games.
Ocarana of Time 4k will be the Holiday 2025 game. After that we will get a remake of Link to the Past or the port of Link Between Worlds. Ages and Seasons are being remade.
the best and most suitable candidates for remakes are the oracle games, as they suffer from the same technological limitations that link's awakening did. it is very difficult today to go back to playing an old gameboy game.
I hope it's not any game that's had a remake or remaster already. I know people really love Ocarina, MM, the gamecube/Wii games and the newest ones, but so many of those have been brought to other systems already. We have Ocarina on at least three consoles, twilight princess on the GameCube, wii, and wii u, WW on two consoles, BotW on two consoles. We have remakes/reimaginings of ALttP and Link's awakening, and they're all great. I know, I know: they're on "old" consoles now; but seeing these again after all this time is just kind of a let-down. I think there are really only a few games that could benefit from a remake, and the most deserving of these, to me, would be Zelda 2. Zelda 1 sounds like a good idea, but this one and the oracle games wold probably just get the LA/Echoes treatment. While this isn't necessarily a bad thing, I think it would be far more exciting to see what they'd do with a modern take on Zelda 2: sidescrolling dungeons and towns, a top-down overworld, spells, keys, mystery: imagine a modern 2.5D Barba battle!
Honestly the only Zelda games i want a remake for are the Oracle games!! Instead of making 2 games with linked code make it big Zelda game add in a bonus dungeon and a better story and that game would be golden in my eyes probably even the biggest 2D Zelda title if they did it that way!! As for the rest of the games maybe not so much a remake but an upgrade to the games music!! Instead of using 8 bit and 16 bit sound chips they can use full blown Orchestraded music!! I'd get lost in any Zelda game if they did that especially Link To The Past and Majora's Mask!! One more thing I'd wanna see is somehow Make Link Between Worlds playable on the big screen!!
Ocarina would be my personal choice and then Twilight princess. I love those 2 games. Although games that nobody is mentioning that I think would be very interesting are phantom hourglass and spirit tracks.
Personally, I think the most like remakes/remasters would be: A. Ocarina of Time -- full remake. You already covered most of the reasons why. In addition, I highly suspect the Zelda movie will take most of its ideas from Ocarina, and a timely remake would give a huge boost to both the movie AND the remake. B. A Link to the Past -- 3D overhead remake. The main reason I think this is more likely is because A Link Between Worlds proved how compatible LttP's graphics are with 3D. That said, it would be the laziest remake, since it would feel a bit dumbed down after LBW. (Also I think LttP is a highly overrated Zelda title, but my opinion has no effect on the likelihood of it happening) C. The Legend of Zelda (the very first one) -- 3D overhead remake and dungeon designer. There is a significant demand for this, and even a persevering online community who use fan-made Zelda maker software. A dungeon maker was Nintendo's original concept for TLoZ, and they have shown it works for Mario. Now with unprecedented online sharing, isn't it time they finally tried it with Zelda for real?... D. Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks -- faithful remakes with redesigned controls. These games had such low-res 3D graphics that it'd be very easy for Nintendo to wow audiences with visual update, and their controls have always begged for something better. The main problem is that their dungeon design left a LOT to be desired, and not everything can be remade without huge changes.
I get remaking old top-down games. 3D games can just be remastered. OOT & MM already had their remake in a fitting way from 3DS, but for Switch 2 that would mean either a weird coat of paint if the gameplay remains authentic, or turning them into a whole different game. At which point an original game is always preferable.
I mean, I'd take Zelda II given an actual 2D top-down treatment as well, that'd be awesome. That, or if they're feeling especially spicy, and this is by far the longest reach ever - remake the CD-i games to have actual proper gameplay, lol
If they do a Zelda remake it would probably be and might be crazy but probably the first game or link to the past as they already did the big 3D Zelda games already or the most probable one would be orcaina and Majora’s mask as most 3Ds games are getting remastered for switch or twilight princess that’s just my thought

We’re getting a zelda 2 remake to piss everyone off.
All I want is Wind Waker please 🙏🏻
Gonna toss out a name not many would consider.
I’d love a Four Swords Adventure remake. Really underrated title that deserves more love and recognition.
I been saying this for awhile now. With the internet making connectivity easier, this is a game that would do a lot better than when it came out on GC.
Could happen, but probably won’t
Plus the only way to play the DSI version is to track down a DSI with it downloaded because it had content the GBA one didn’t
Link's Crossbow Training.
LOL but in all seriousness I'd rather see the phantom hourglass and spirit tracks gets remakes.
I remember having that disc it came with twilight princess hahahaha
The oracle games were supposed to have a 3rd game. If the remake those i hope they finish the original idea.
They would need to do a bit of overhauling on the story. It's doable, but I doubt they would put that much time into it. Would be nice to see though.
I'm really itching for OOT/MM remakes.
High key hoping for OOT.
lol there’s already a remake on the 3DS lol
@@MrBrownsugar85OoT came out in 1998, and OoT3D came out 13 years later in 2011. That's over 13 years ago, so more time has passed from 3D→today than from OG→3D, and so I think another remake in HD would be great for 2025.
@@arisuatlast ok dumb dumb
@@MrBrownsugar85stfu. The 3ds remake is already incredibly outdated graphically
@@MrBrownsugar85it’s not a remake it’s a remaster lol
if they do remake _Ocarina of Time,_ I hope it does more than give it a visual and UI overhaul… like the story, settings, characters, etc. should be the same, but the progression structure and dungeons themselves should be reimagined… like the ‘Forest Temple’ would still be an abandoned mansion in the deep forest, with four Poes that need to be hunted down to reach the boss, probably with twisting hallways and such, but aside from that, the puzzles should be completely new.
and then, most importantly… I want a new game plus mode where you can play the new version of the game with the classic N64 art style 👌
@@Sam_T2000 same here! Let's hope they actually go all out with it if they are remaking it.
I disagree...the game is one of the biggest classics ever for a reason and they shouldn't change it aside from a visual upgrade and some QOL stuff.
I do actually hope it's a follow up to Totk.
@@seismicrocket they confirmed twice they'd most likely move on from this setting, which felt like they wanted to conclude with TOTK
Four Swords online would be cool. I remember back in the day they re released Four Swords on the DSi
Give Zelda 2 to From Software. People expect it to be hard, make it a souls like
I’m not sure if it’ll be the one that’s remade/remastered next, but the argument that OOT was remastered too recreantly on 3DS doesn’t really hold water. Ocarina of Time 3D is now about a year older than the original N64 version was when 3D released.
Playing ocarina of time remade with its artstyle would be a dream come true
They can make people play a cult classic, give us a sneak peek at character models and mechanics, and build hype if they release MM remake before OOT
i doubt it'd happen but i'd kinda like a spirit tracks remake given it is 2025 and it is the railways 200th anniversary maybe it could show off the mouse capabilities for the new joycons but if we get spirit tracks we'd probably have to get PH at some point since that's kinda part of Nico's story at the start of the game along with a WW remake/remaster/port or anything at some point down the line
I think the gameboy games need it most. Minish cap is a solid game but i hope its a ocarina of time remake.
I would love to see ocarina get remade, it’s time.
I reckon it will either be:
-A remaster collection of WW and TP as they were some of the few WiiU games that were never ported to the switch.
As much as I’d love that, a true 3D link to the past remake (not that fake 3D link’s awakening style) would be nuts
A fully reimagined Ocarina of Time remake would be a dream come true.
Imagine a link to the past as a 3D remake, with modernized gameplay and orchestra…. It would be the greatest Zelda ever made.
I’d love a 3-D rendition of a link to the past. OOT meets ALTTP, that would be an amazing project but hard to pull off imo
A Link Between Worlds exists and it slaps.
Please let it be Wind Waker.
Please let it be Wind Waker.
Please let it be Wind Waker.
I am still waiting on that rumored OoT remake in the BotW engine.
Ew ew ew botw was butt
If the mouse joycon Rumer is true, it might bring phantom hourglass and spirit tracks into options.
Kind of off topic but I hope the next mainline Zelda game returns to the seas like windwaker :)
I always thought they should make a subfrachise staring Linebeck.
What's the longest a new Nintendo console has gone before getting a Zelda game, either new or remake/remaster?
I think at most 2 years (OoT), usually rather 1 year or even a launch title. And we get Zelda games more often in recent years, we almost got a title every year now for the last 10-15 years.
@Ray_2112 Yeah. I noticed it's been about one a year lately. Which makes me think one will be announced before the Switch 2 releases.
Ocarina of time, with a total rebuild !! Also add some stuff, make it the same yet new, updated graphics 60 FPS …
I would LOVE a Zelda 1 or 2 remake it's one of my most wanted games for the Switch 2 but realistically they'll do OOT or Breath of the Wild to show of the power of the Switch 2.
Everyone in the comments saying that ocarina needs it while, minish cap, phantom hourglass and spirit tracks has left the chat.
Plus ocarina already got a remake
Ocarina of Time!!!!!
A zelda 3D all stars would be very welcome, maybe oot, mm, ww, then tp since skyward sword got lots of love on the switch
Selling two cash cows in a package...yeah, that's the Nintendo we know. 😅
It is Ocarina of time.
there arent many if any 3D zelda games that need a remake, but i could see a link to the past or the oracle games coming back. zelda 2 could be interesting
(Also, I feel there's a beautiful conversation between 2D aLttP and 3D aLbW that would get a bit lost in the event of a 3D aLttP)
Not that I really think that's going to happen of course
Shigeru Miyamoto should implement himself as a playable character that you actually have to unlock to be able to use him. In Smash Bros. I meant.
If remaking/updating Links Awaking was a success, then I can see the Oracle games getting the same treatment.
I've always wanted the Oracle games to get remade but I don't want them to look like Link's Awakening/Echoes of Wisdom, so I'm pretty conflicted
Wouldn’t it be wild if it was a remake of the very first Zelda?
Reimagined in 3D?
its Ocarina of time time, as a game, because i think, we ll get Oot as a movie and maybe a 2D zelda game in 2 years and a new zelda game later
Ocarana of Time 4k will be the Holiday 2025 game.
After that we will get a remake of Link to the Past or the port of Link Between Worlds.
Ages and Seasons are being remade.
If they remake Ocarina and it doesn’t look like the fan made Unreal Engine 5 project, it’d be disappointing.
the best and most suitable candidates for remakes are the oracle games, as they suffer from the same technological limitations that link's awakening did. it is very difficult today to go back to playing an old gameboy game.
I want the Oracle games remade for Switch. After the Link's Awakening remake, it just makes sense.
a true majroas mask full on remake would be amazing
I’m going for Zelda 1&2, link to the past, oracle of ages and seasons. All of those deserve an update.
I'm hoping for a remake of Phantom Hourglass + Spirit Tracks.
I will always hope for Minish Cap or lttp but I’m pretty sure it’ll be OOT. Whatever it is I won’t be disappointed
It would be cool if Ocarina of Time got the Final Fantasy 7 treatment
Ocarina would be my personal choice and then Twilight princess. I love those 2 games. Although games that nobody is mentioning that I think would be very interesting are phantom hourglass and spirit tracks.
I would love to see the original get remade as a top down 2D massive adventure game.
I thought they had all but officially announced a 4K BotW release for the Switch 2. I could be misremembering an interview though.
If it is Ocarina of Time, I need a Shadow of the Colossus/FF7 type remake. No low-balling the GOAT.
a 3d remake of link to the past would be cool it’s my favorite of the top down games so I would be pumped
If its a remake them im hoping for the oracle games or zelda 2. If its a remaster, then its probably gonna be twilght princess or wind waker
Personally, I think the most like remakes/remasters would be:
(Also I think LttP is a highly overrated Zelda title, but my opinion has no effect on the likelihood of it happening)
If it is a remake of Ocarina of Time, hope it isn't like remade in the style of BOTW and TOTK.
If they do a Zelda remake it would probably be and might be crazy but probably the first game or link to the past as they already did the big 3D Zelda games already or the most probable one would be orcaina and Majora’s mask as most 3Ds games are getting remastered for switch or twilight princess that’s just my thought
