- Hey folks, wanted to show you how I decided to install some security / perimeter LED lighting on my truck camper using some pretty inexpensive LED light bars. These install very easy and hopefully this video showed just how easy it was to do this. I'll post some links below for some of the items I used (Amazon Affiliate) links if you're interested.

Great idea. I’d put it on a remote switch and use them on tailgaters. Lol
👍🏻👍🏻
I'm gonna steal this idea before I go truck camping again. And I will definitely use the Amazon links. Love the vids , u earned a sub.
Thanks Steve👍🏻👍🏻
I do everything with redundancy in case shore power isn't an option (and most times it's not) or my battery bank is low. So I glued some quarter-sized rare earth disc magnets to the sides of my trailer, and to the backs of solar motion led lights, and throw yrhem on when parked. If anyone passes close enough, they trigger.
👍🏻👍🏻😀
When I had my 2000 CRV that I was livin in for a while I used Nilight kits from Amazon. They range from $20-$50+ depending on the size of the bars. Most of them include harnesses so that’s what I did.
👍🏻👍🏻
I have the exact same car in my garage! I want to restore it and drive it around town, thanks for the video)
👊🏻
Stumbled upon your page from some of the “bigger” channels and you are up there with them content wise! So informative and cool that your like most of us who wish, but couldn’t truck camp for a living lol hope you keep growing
Thank you👍🏻👍🏻
I bought a cheap pair of led pods (like 20 bucks) it it came with all stainless hardware.
👍🏻👍🏻
Nice lights and clean install. Will sure feel good to light the night and see what’s out there.
Hey Chris, thanks👍🏻

👍🏻
Great content! I enjoy keeping up with all the new videos and updates!
Thank you! I appreciate that!
They look great, and an easy to follow diy install. Thanks
Thanks Paul👍🏻
Unique idea.
👍🏻
I like the way they turned out 👍
Thank you👍🏻
Thats a great idea Brian !
Thanks👍🏻
Thanks for that video of your lights hook up.
You are welcome, and thank you👍🏻
Nice clean job well done
Thanks Josh👍🏻
Those might get snagged on rough terrain. How about mounting some when you get the roof rack, they would double as Campground light
If / when I get a rack. So far not too enthused with paying the price for the rack and crossbars
@@BrianWatersOutdoors I felt the same way, but my wife convinced me to "buy once, cry once" and bite the bullet. Leer will only warranty the work for water leaks etc. if it's done by their dealer. I first thought about letting them install just the tracks and I would source my own cross bars, but I discovered their price on the cross bars was better than I could find on my own.
I would add a set to a rack, and probably one on each side of the rack for better light.
Perfect for the person asking for the bear spray
👊🏻👊🏻
awesome ;)
👍🏻
In stead of those barrel connections check on some Anderson power pole connectors they r much better.
I’ve looked into those but they seem insanely expensive for what all you have to buy. Maybe I wasn’t looking at the correct things, but they just seems quite expensive when I was looking into it.
Wire those to the reverse lights as well!
I’m thinking about that
Thats quite the collection of Festool, the tool brand nobody has heard of (except Tom Silva), probably one of the best tool brands on the market, not know why they don’t try and get into more retail stores. It’s only small woodworking shops that sell them, I know they are pricey but I think they would sell to consumers that value good quality tools. They are like a stealth brand, even Project Farm doesn’t include them in reviews. Do you use them professionally or just for diy stuff?!
Thank you. I’ve been “ collecting” Festool for about 10 years now. I never understood the hype until I bought my first sander from them years and years ago. Then it was obviously downhill for me with the Festool addiction. Woodworking for me is just a pretty serious “hobby”.
Nice job Brian !!
Thanks Joey👍🏻
The seals on the cheaper lights don't last to long. Might want to get some High Temp silicone & reseal them.
Yeah….I figured that. Thanks👍🏻
Did those bolts end up being stainless@@BrianWatersOutdoors? For the price really can't beat those lights at all.
I doubt they were. That’s why I just bought my own hardware
Just wave em by a magnet @@BrianWatersOutdoors . Stainless & aluminum aren't magnetic.
:)
👍🏻👍🏻
Heyyy
