- Bobath Therapy is an assessment and treatment approach for children and adults with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions such as stroke.
In this video I find out from Philip Vervaeke, a Physiotherapist with Bobath Scotland what Bobath therapy is, how you can access it and what therapy session involves. I was also lucky enough to be allowed access to film a therapy session involving Petra Mikeskova (Occupational Therapist) and Leen Van Gestel (Physiotherapist), and a young man called Harrison. Thank you to Harrison's mum Alexis for allowing me to use that footage.

Our son, now aged 59 years, first met and received therapy from Mrs and Dr Bobath in 1962. The invaluable support and guidance that he receives from Cerebral Palsy Scotland continues to enhance and helps to bring him fulfilment within a complicated but remarkably happy lifestyle.

What about cell transfer for cp
be careful with brain stem cells of from fetus, before answering to your question please see the move "what's the bleep do we know" you will understand that cells can be programmed ? so in your cell (I will never take the one from china... too much from abortion) what those memories will do in your child? nevertheless I have seen 100 of kids and adult ahaving got stem cells cure I I have never seen modification and changes.
The move in my opinion does not illustrate Bobath no a day, Specific Handling is essential, the main problem of CP has c change and most of them have Sensory processing deficit that interfere with the sensory modulation to organise postural control. Spasticity is not more what interferes with function. In the movie handling has to be questioning.Take your hands away, prepare for function, Bobath is not worj=king function for functions.

there is no broder line between OT,PT, S.T, as the guy said its a way of analysing the child behaviour and by problem solving identifying the child main problem. the earliest the better, the more daily life integration. the only difference is that we may in aq team decide which member of the team will be the main figure.
