Thank you. Unpolished Frankenstein result, unaesthetic but pragmatic. I don't want to spend 100$ for a fridge door shelf which is dangerously cracked. I will just do likewise, weld the broken piece from underneath. Overseen repair. Ugly to the eye but a hundred bucks saved for something else! 😁

If you give it a slight twist when you are to the depth you want it will lock it behind hood plastic.

Tried mine for the first time to repair a cracked fan shroud that I can't find a replacement for. I'm not sure how you pulled the gun off the staple so quickly. Instructions say to wait 45 second to cool before removing the gun from the staple. I didn't and the staple pulled right back out.
Decided to watch you demo it before going any further.

I am sure it has something to do with the thickness of material. The piece I was using was 1/2" thick.
