I love this game! It can be quite swingy but a decent amount of characters have natural threat mitigation to help a little. My biggest complaint is the boss doesn't do much you have this beautiful standee just sitting there. Now the creator did push out a rules FAQ adding boss movement which I think works super well in some instances but does make those bad recoveries feel worse when you have a boss about to hit you twice and you wasted your last action trying to recover

The swinginess does sound like a problem. I'm interested in this game but their site won't ship to Canada so sadly I can't get a copy.
