Im 16, and im going to urban sketch for the first time this summer while on vacation! ur videos have been so helpful, and I wouldn’t be urban sketching without u so thank you!
Hey. Don’t feel like you need to wait till your holiday. You can even sketch houses in your street! If it’s something you enjoy, you can start straight away 😃
How fun that you're going to start urban sketching! I've done a similar plan, so I have a suggestion for you: please start now!! Trying to learn a new thing on vacation can be frustrating, but if you have already practiced this new skill, then your vacation will be even better. I hope you have fun!
It was so awesome to meet you finally Teoh and super awesome to see your sketchbook tour. Thank you for all you do. Your video coverage of the symposium was exceptional. 🙏
Your sketches are extremely good and that’s not false flattery. I love the freshness of the paint and how quaint your accuracy is for conveying the buildings and people we get to see.
Really fantastic sketches! It was fun seeing places I recognise from when I lived there, and the drawings of other sketchers. Your books always end up looking so awesome. ❤
Thank you for sharing your trip with us. It's nice to feel like I'm there and loved all your sketches. It's difficult enough to film and somehow you managed to sketch so much as well. I can't wait to one day be able to go to the symposium!
I remember pretty all of these as i followed your trip live . Thanks so much . I did not know Patrick ng was there. I said it previously but your drawing figures are so fun.
Teoh, You were awesome all week and allowed me to experience Auckland from you chair! You spent hours filmimg and editing with terrific results and I hope you have had time to rest. Thank you so much for all you did to make my "trip" magical!
Doesn't matter, your sketches and paintings are very enjoyable!! Thank you for the information on the costs of this trip. Its a little pricey for me, but I'm sure its worth it!! Thank you so much for all you have brought us the last several days, loved every minute of it.❤️❤️❤️
Welcome home! Great videos from Auckland! Thanks for sharing. I'm in one of Jane Blundell's classes right now and know she attended. I'm thrilled to be a Patreon supporter and happy to help! You are AWESOME!
Thank you so much for a wonderful video! When I am able I will send some $$. I have watched you for awhile. I do value drawings for my oil paintings and have a wetlands sketchbook that I began during Covid- it was such a wonderful companion.
Looks like you had a good time! Some really great sketches there. I live in Auckland, less than 30mins from the city so I really need to go and paint some of our great locations! Sorry about our weather and the expense. I have been to Singapore several times so I know your pain with the airfare prices lol
Thanks for the several live streaming of the events. Can you also make a video of overall cost for out of town participants? (Registration, hotel or ab&b, meals, etc.) I hope to participate in European cities’ urban sketch meets.
Following. I am curious about the cost and hopefully can join to one of the symposium in the future. Thank you Teoh for the videos, I enjoyed it a lot. ❤
Ah, see, that small pallet is why you forgot your jacket. You put in x number of things on your packing list but didn't add the 2nd pallet. Your list said you could only have x number of things so something had to be left out so bye bye jacket 😆 lol. Kidding aside, thank you so much for the sketchbook tour and all the videos/ work you did while there. I looked forward to them everyday you were there. ❤️
@TeoYiChie your sketches tell a story as always ! you managed to work hot press paper very well by avoiding wet on wet. Also you kept coloring so simple to avoid any bloching. I liked all your NZ sketches. Would you switch to hot press ? please let us know your thoughts.
Would love to see you review the Grumbacher Academy Watercolor. It has a couple interesting colors for student watercolor (cerulean blue chromium and perlyne maroon)
@@teohyc Thank you. I must have misunderstood; I thought you were talking about links to videos you made of an earlier Symposium. (Ha ha on me!) I watched all of your videos from Auckland as they were each released. THANK YOU for making these!! I don't know if I can ever attend a Symposium, but if there is ever another one in North America, especially in the U.S., I may be able to make that work. In the meantime, there was another meeting of the Bellingham Urban Sketchers, and it was the first time since my surgery and chemotherapy experience that I've had the stamina to attend. You are such good inspiration that I'm being less fearful of drawing buildings, and practice with it is paying off. It's still terribly hard work, but I'm getting some satisfactory results ... finally! 😂

Hi Taria and Teoh, so cool to see the two of you together! I watch both of you on UA-cam. Merci from Vancouver Island B.C.

i enjoy watching your urban sketching related videos, as you are the reason i became an urban sketcher 5 years ago 😆

I’m off to New Zealand in January, can’t wait to sketch it ❤

My first Symposium, terrific fun, and I was so happy to meet you. Love your sketches, brings it back.
Lucky you!!❤️
Teoh really like this sketchbook tour some brilliant sketches and memories
My pleasure to be a patreon! Travel is expensive but worth saving up for!

Good idea. I will make one video on that.

Great pix! Thanks for showing the tour. I enjoyed all of them!
So glad you enjoyed your time in UK love your videos you always bring such good content to us ❤
Big open watercolour landscapes with some curvilinear perspective. Nothing I like more in a sketch!
Very informative. Enjoyable to listen to and watch. Aloha!

Hot press is nice. I will switch over once I use up all the coldpress
Wonderful share ❤
Thank you!

There are no “mistakes” , only evolution as you explore the possibilities..
Your excellent have been so grea!
It's funny you kept saying oh no that's a mistake!. All I saw was beautiful sketches.
How does the Etchr book compare to the Arches books you had handmade for you? Thank you for your videos!
Arches is better
wonderful 🤍
That is an expensive flight. Glad you made the most of it.
Singapore - Argentinia is even more expensive. It's basically the other side of the Earth!
Yeah that’s one reason why I may not be going to Argentina
I would love to watch the earlier videos you mentioned at about ten minutes into this video. Will you add the links? 😍
This is the first video, and there are links to other videos in the description

@@LaLa_ArtGal Not sure when the USk symposium will be returning to USA but yeah, you can definitely join your local USk groups for sketching sessions.
👍👍👍
