17 gpm pump can get away with a 7 gpm reservoir because you are close to 8 gal which would be the minimum size id go with. Glad to see its working out!
Nice! I took the beam and cylinder off my 22ton horizontal/ vertical solitter and miunted it on the forks of my Kubota. I use the remotes, and while it works, it's slow. This mighy be a solution.

Great setup, my only suggestion would be to add a jack stand under the wedge so you eliminate that bounce when you drop a round onto the splitter.
PTO pump made that way better. Nice video. On a side note that hickory is really pretty inside.
It's nice to see someone use fresh split wood to demonstrate. Everyone wants yo use either pine of dry rotted wood.
Cool !
Thanks
I have the exact same splitter and Prince PTO pump from the period.
After 30-years, I finally had to repair/replace the 4"x24" cylinder...
Fine and fast splitter!👍☘️
like butter , seems you could add the 4 spliter no problem
Wow it's quite fast!! I was looking at a 3pt option myself and thought a pto pump would be better
Now THAT is a fast cycle time! Nice.
hi there looks like it works well john
Can You go vertical ? seems like allot of lifting ,but it is fast!
