That vario is all over the place!
Incredible ! I used to be a member of the GVVC, gliding club Courtelary, and flew around there for a few years in my youth (long ago). Really amazing the way you fly, everything seems so easy for you. That’s all the difference between real pro pilots and amateurs like me. Love all your videos. Even so the beaches of New Zealand were really like from another planet! Congratulations for all your flying !
Perfecto!! Gracias!
Einfach superschön Stefan!!
Danke dir!!
World class flying! Greetings from California
Thank you!
Hey Stefan, Love the Video! :)
I'm glad!
cool stuff
Bloody hell that was close with that bird! Great video cheers from AU
Thanks 👍
Hi Stefan! Thanks a lot for this exciting footage full of pure fun. At 4:47 inthis video you are passing a windsock and it seems to me, that you are riding the ridge just on the leeside. That would explain the severe turbulence, but why are you doing that? AFAI can see you have enough energy to switch on the luvside. Even if ther is an airspace above, what i hear from your openvario, i cannot see any cause to deny the additional energy or to hit an ugly rotor on the leeside.
Hi! I needed to re-watch the video aswell on a bigger screen and there you can definitely see the wind is blowing from the correct side, so I´m flying on the luv side. The windsock is blowing upwards because it is positioned on the ridge :D
It would be nice to see some longer videos where the flying isn't time compressed. I can no longer fly gliders and to see the flight would be great!
Just curious, why can’t u fly anymore?
Walled ridge causing added turbulance too. Maybe. Follows the pattern anyway.
I'm not a pilot nor an expert in this subject, but as a former RC air models enthusiast I gathered some experience in aerodynamics, thermals, and so on. That said, tell me, by the type of that terrain and flying at the edge of that mountain you could stay on air all day long, right?
Sehr cool! 🤙🏼
2mins 26 seconds in.. Stef whats the name of that music track ?? #FlySafe
7:23 What a horrible situation...😂
What was that? A bird.
Song name used in this vedio please
You should have a word with the wing runner at the beginning of the video. I remember being taught to support the wing until you could no longer keep up with the glider.
No, when there is so some wind and the glider is well stabilized you don’t need to hold the wing for long.
Maybe, but you might still get unexpected gusts, and running with the wing isn't exactly a major inconvenience

Bei 4min20 war das der Sender la Dole ? Ist schon lange her das ich da war.
I think that was the Chasseral, Nods, Switzerland
@@izzydmg5750 it's possible, in Suisse the telecomms have standardized towers, they look nearly the same. Thanks.
hey whats that whistle sound?
Not sure what it is called, but it helps the pilot know when they have lift and when they have sink. You can see the rate of lift and sink on variometer in the gauge cluster (in meters). I am clueless about flying a glider, hopefully some one can give you a more expert response!
@@93455Driver thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!🫡
How much does your glider cost?
With all accessories incl. trailer... the marked value should be about 35 - 40k €
7:22 Close encounter!! What was it?
Maybe a buzzard or an eagle.
Did you know buzzard comes in quite many varieties. :) Hard to make out, but they are plenty so safest bet.
