    Thank you for this comparison video. You did a great job explaining the differences between these two products. My only complaint is that you didn't really go into detail about the tracking these two products offer. Which is the main thing I've been looking for. I imagine im not the only one as most companies want a $10+ monthly subscription for just tracking. To my knowledge, the Mycar2 doesn't have tracking event history while the Evo start does. It seems to me that you get more tracking capabilities from the Evo Start. The Mycar2 is more just a ping on the vehicles location

    Nice coverage, But you didn't reveal if our personal information is sold off to 3rd party's. I'll automatically assume My Car 2 does, seeing you have Alexa etc. on your system. Most people know Amazon follows you all over and sells your privacy to anyone they want. Including home/auto insurance companies that use this to raise your rates. How about Fortran/ EVO?

    Hello, I installed the evo-all with the carlink module, but my battery died and i tried pairing the carlink with the evo-all but nothing seems to happen. I'm able to remote start my car with the key fob , but the the module and app are not working. Do you know how to fix this ?

    I got the MyCar2 installed in my 2018 Hyundai elantra limited PTS. My installer said they couldn't add my heated seats or rear defrost to the auxiliary features. It pissed me off, since I paid $862 for the installation. I also found out that I can't unlock my doors, unless I'm close by.

      Hi, you can add the heated seat and rear defrost to the AUX controls of the remote starter, which would then be controlled by the MyCar2. However, you failed to mention WHICH remote starter the MyCar2 is connected, this makes a HUGE difference as there are some remote start products that do not have AUX output controls, so in this case, your installer/s would be correct.
      Let us know which remote start is in the vehicle (the remote starter controller) and we can advise form there.

    How far does the Fortin Start LTE work. I assume with LTE it works wherever? I currently have the Fortin RFK441 2800 ft. Remote

      EVO-START LTE works worldwide, as it is a cellular based product. What I mean by world wide though, is the user can be world wide, the car has to be within the EVO-START LTE coverage zone, which is Canada OR USA (it is an OR thing as it depends whether you are using the US version or the Canada version). The user though, can be anywhere in the world.

      @@LockdownSecurity Thanks for your help. Good thing I came across your video. I'll definitely get the LTE model now.

    If a thief makes a new key and unlocks the car does that disable the Evi alarm system?

    • @LockdownSecurity
      @LockdownSecurity  4 місяці тому +1

      Depends on how you have it configured, if you have OEM key fob control turned off, and are using a Fortin (or other brand compatible) key fob kit, then no, the factory key would not disarm the EVO alarm system

      @@LockdownSecurity my OEM key fob and my fortin key fobs both can open close the car. I didn’t test if the car alarm or remote start would still work with the OEM key fob. My concern is if a thief breaks in, creates a new key and unlocks the car, it will disable the fortin alarm and kill switch

      @@tchiasson10 You can test this, arm the vehicle (lock) with the Fortin key fob, wait 1 minute. Then open the door with the OEM key fob and see if the alarm (if the alarm feature was turned on in the Fortin system) triggers.
      To this test properly you will need to confirm that the security (alarm) features were turned on within your Fortin system.
