To clarify, I am fully aware that Lancer Artoria and the Lion King are two different Artorias. That's why I tell of Lancer Artoria at the start and then refer to an alternate timeline in which Artoria doesn't die.

But yeah, with the whole being rejected thing and being egged on by her mother she kinda was unable to understand her own feelings or something. Maybe the they skimmed over the relationship between Mordred and Artoria because that wasn't the point of the story of the singularity?
@@PeachDragon_ im so confused about Nero's true history, i went to a private academy for k-8 and they had oooold text books that write Nero off as a villan. When the newest books say Nero's history was warped for entertainment and bias by the original "historians" as they were the upper class that despised Nero's rise and political upheavals.
Nero's tale is a story full of political intrigue and not a lot of hard facts, for either case. He was not a nice guy to be sure. He was paranoid and was prone to mass hysteria, qualities he inherited from his mother. He was also loved by the roman citizens and hated by the nobles, but it was also true that he loved to flaunt and waste money and would often use his influence to "win" glory (though that is not an uncommon trait for Roman emperors). I think the biggest lie historians have pointed out was the Fire of Rome which was credited at least partially to Nero, for many centuries (with the common idea that Nero "fiddled while Rome burned"). But Nero's paranoia led him to start a witch hunt to blame someone for the fires. There's others cases where truth was bended in favor of propaganda against Nero. For example the famous sentencing of Seneca, who was indeed blamed and sentended to death for a failed attack on Nero (by this point Nero was seeing enemies everywhere and for good reason). It is said he didn't allow Seneca to write a will and forced the wife to comit suicide alongside Seneca. Later historians would dispute this claiming Seneca's wife tried to kill herself on her own and Nero ordered her wounds to be treated, and that a will must have been created due to the fact Seneca's body was treated carefully and his posessions were distributed properly and without delay. Basically, Nero was no saint but no tyrant. He was just a very controversial Roman Emperor who loved to spend money and earned the ire of the nobles and the Roman Senate to the point they tried to kill him. Even the act of killing his own mother had a motive behind it, seeing as Nero's mother was a deranged woman who wanted to kill Nero anyway.

Good video! Only thing I wished you would of mentioned was Gareth. She sided with the Lion King to fight with Lancelot, but when they fought to take Jerusalem, they had to fight a fake Richard The Lionheart, and Gareth died sacrificing herself to let Gawain kill him. Its really interesting, and I wish Gareth had been in FGO.
I hope they address that fake Richard at some point. Seems like such an odd plot point. Gareth might be added later on, though personally there are other Knights I would like to see before her.
Atte Tolonen I'm curious why they made a point of saying that he's the fake Richard I, since Richard I IS a Heroic Spirit, and has materialized in Fate/Strange Fake. I guess they went with someone else because he's such a massive King Arthur fanatic that he'd immediately surrender if King Arthur's forces stood against him, if it meant being able to meet his idol.
Yeah. It's also quite odd that whoever the Heroic Spirit really is, chose to call himself Richard I. This would mean that he not only knew of Richard I but also had a reason of not wanting to use his real identity. I just hope that they don't ignore him completely. (Btw Richard from strange/fake is awesome and I hope he shows up in GO at some point.)
Lancer Arturia being conflated with the Wild Hunt over time was an interesting aspect of her story which Merlin brought up at the end of Camelot, that could have been mentioned here. If I recall, having read it somewhere, her temporary conflation with the Wild Hunt (as one of many entities that fit into that myth) actually is what Lancer Arturia Alter is based on, which would at least explain the latter better than the London singularity explained it (it would make Camelot's already impressive storytelling even better, filling in that hole). I guess as a wandering spirit, before becoming the Lion King/Goddess Rhongomyniad, she manifested as a Wild Hunt-like specter or something like that, which links to the above explanation for the Alter version and ties into Merlin's dialogue on her. Nasu really did a great job with Camelot's story and plot, it was mostly very well thought out and with strong character development and arcs that tied up very well, it's certainly the most well-written and overall best singularity so far!
Spiralistic Hope92 As I understand it, Lancer Artoria Alter's transformation into the Goddess Rhongomyniad was intentionally halted, becoming the leader of the Wild Hunt to prevent her own lance's corruption. That's why she, uniquely among all Alter Servants, is Good Aligned instead of Evil.
Very interesting, I didn't know that. I wish her appearance in the London singularity had at least somehow hinted or foreshadowed that development just slightly, it would have been great if they could have tied that into the story more effectively. Thanks for the info!
Spiralistic Hope92 I mean, she WAS under the same Mad Enchantment as Tesla, but aside from her alignment (which is in the game if you get her to Bond 1), the rest of that is in supplementary materials. For instance, one of them specifically says the Alter version of Lancer Artoria looks at Drake as a bit if a sister since they're both associated with the Wild Hunt.
Hypocrite is probably only one of many words I'd describe for half of the knights that decided to join Artoria. Three of them personally had a problem with her (Mordred being the biggest offender), and yet, when she decides to become a tyrant, they drop their issues.
(I know I'm replying to a year old comment, sorry). I will say that's the case with most servants. A very common trope within Fate is to see a lot of the characters regret their actions, try to redeem thelseves, do something different, or fight for a new cause in search of salvation. You can clearly see that the only true devoted to the Lion King are Gawain (which in his own words have already gone mad and feels lifeless) and Agravain, which is trying to do things better. Lancelot feels regret, Mordred wants attention, and Tristan is messed up.
I especially hate when they said that "she's unfeeling king and doesn't understand the heart of people." it's actually wrong, she actually understand and felt them but she all internalized them because to her, a king was supposed to be perfect. She cannot tell or show it to others. In a way, Artoria also knew the destiny of camelot the moment she pulled caliburn after all, Merlin warned her but she still goes through that. The only thing that is tragedy is the conclusion of camelot's ending
I was wondering when Lancer Artoria came into the FGO storyline. So, by become a Lancer, she truly did become a boob monster. I saw a funny comic where Artoria is talking to Mordred and conveys that all Sabers are flat chested, and all Landers are boob monsters. At the end, Nero comes in and destroys that theory. Another great informative video. Thank you for sating my curiosity Daikun!
I just finished the singularity today! Already played it in JP quite a while ago so I was excited to be able to finally pay attention to the story (as I don't know Japanese)
O-oppai *(Dies in nosebleed)* Additional Bedivere sure looks like artoria XD Another saber has been added Welp atleast *Sumanai-san* is no longer lonely *(Watch the drama CD in my channel and you'll know what I'm talking about XD)*
Hearing this lore made me think of a particular scenario. So both lancer and saber artoria lived pretty similar lives until the point of that tree sequence. So she must have also participated in a holy grail war. What if she was in the same war where archer EMIYA originated. So archer could never go to Avalon because artoria never went there but became the lion king, losing both emotions as well as her memories of EMIYA. That gives even more context to that comic fight between them.
An alternate timeline where (Lancer bodied)Artoria Pendragon keeps Excalibur, Avalon, Spear, the original sword from the stone, and takes the time to learn Magic from Grand Servant Merlin, while also taking the time to take care of Mordred. How OP would she be?
Camelot was an amazing campaign to play through. It made it more epic when the final fight came and my last remaining servant was Saber Artoria to stand alone to finish the fight against Lancer Arturia (who had a lot of HP left).
This folks is why Rafiki is a better wizard mentor than Merlin, Rafiki's Lion King made his people happy and he was actually able to express joy for himself and defeated his Kingdom's traitor, meanwhile Merlin's Lion King goes mad and attacks ancient Egypt where she has to duel with Pharaoh Atem and Altair and that's after getting her and some wizard with a harem and that's after her entire kingdom wrecked by her traitor.
Could you imagine the conversation at Fate/Zero's Banquet of Kings with The Lion King replacing Saber, to debate with Gilgamesh and Iskandar? Would be awesome!
I really appreciate this video as I'm doing a Camelot letsplay series and the entire thing has pretty much had me scratching my head all like: "dafaq?" This video clarified a lot I was confused about. Muchas gracias from the denizens of the interwebs!
Best one is Lancer Artoria (for obvious reasons). She's strong, courageous, and a beast in battle (and probably in bed). However, there just isn't really a better Artoria since even if they are two different versions of the same person, they are still Arturia Pendragon, King of Britain and waifu to us all. #KingofWaifu
It's amazing how FGO never admits to how they only do large breasts to make people roll for the servents more. Like if it wasn't FGO Lancer Artoria, Raikou, and even a few others wouldn't have absurd chests. I would like to see a Takeuchi drawing of Lancer Artoria and how he would have done it regardless of other drawings.
Is it really fair to call them out for that and not bother to recognize servants like Helena, Medusa (Lancer) and Jeanne (Alter, Lilly) who are fan-service in the other direction? The Fate series from its inception has been centered around using sex appeal to pull people into its story. Nasu has said that the only reason he included H-scenes in Fate/Stay Night was because he didn't think the game would sell without them. Nero was given an identical artoria-face because he knew Artoria was his most popular character so he wanted to bait people into buying Fate/Extra. Get down off your high-horse please.
Max Duhl Takeuchi was the one who WANTED big breasts, if I'm not mistaken. The 4th Ascension art was all him. That, and we have him to blame for the excess genderbends.
Congrats on 30k subscribers!!! Would you prefer the main FGO storyline, a single singularity, or a previous Fate work (looking at you Hollow Ataraxia!) get the Ufotable treatment?
Pooh Zerker Is be most happy with them animating the Fate route or Hollow Ataraxia. FGO could be good if they really took their time and fleshed out the drama and conflict of each singularity.
Speaking of Rhongomyniad have you done a video oin Kay? Or is he not a heroic Spirit? I know from the El-Melloi case files, that he is a wise-ass troll though.
Nope, she didn't submit, she still wanted to fight, but the master was yanked from the singularity before she got the chance. Also Bedivere's soul was destroyed, he's gone for good. The Bedivere from the throne is another one with no connection to all of this.

Welp, Gareth's in the game now.
I heard when Fate strange fake was done they are going to add richard and i think gareth is in the game now.
Best Knight Bedievere
I wish I had Lancer Alter.
Hypocrite is probably only one of many words I'd describe for half of the knights that decided to join Artoria. Three of them personally had a problem with her (Mordred being the biggest offender), and yet, when she decides to become a tyrant, they drop their issues.
most of them weren't hypocrite, but regretful
(I know I'm replying to a year old comment, sorry).
I will say that's the case with most servants. A very common trope within Fate is to see a lot of the characters regret their actions, try to redeem thelseves, do something different, or fight for a new cause in search of salvation.
You can clearly see that the only true devoted to the Lion King are Gawain (which in his own words have already gone mad and feels lifeless) and Agravain, which is trying to do things better. Lancelot feels regret, Mordred wants attention, and Tristan is messed up.
They're regretful for what they did or what they didn't do for Artoria before.
Sad that it took Lancelot a while to realise that he needed to rebel against her instead of just saving refugees in order to truly do what's right
I especially hate when they said that "she's unfeeling king and doesn't understand the heart of people." it's actually wrong, she actually understand and felt them but she all internalized them because to her, a king was supposed to be perfect. She cannot tell or show it to others. In a way, Artoria also knew the destiny of camelot the moment she pulled caliburn after all, Merlin warned her but she still goes through that. The only thing that is tragedy is the conclusion of camelot's ending
Bedivere the one and true bro great video
and this..does bring tears on my eyes..
Apparently, this Artoria didn't mind letting everyone know she's a woman, and yet is still called "King" for some reason.
She sure turn into a divine being alright.
her eyes though, green like life itself (until humans started to develop depression and escapisme fantasies)
Artoria's Bizzare Adventures
I Would love to see more singularitys this way
well we are going back to Camelot in Season 2 Lostbelt.
orrthehunter I am not looking forward to that haha
Not just Camelot, but 500 AD Camelot. The first day of Camelot and the Knight of the Round Table.
I just finished the singularity today! Already played it in JP quite a while ago so I was excited to be able to finally pay attention to the story (as I don't know Japanese)
I will say this I genuinely LO V E bedivere he’s my favorite servant (who isn’t a waifu)
A very nice summarization of the story for those of us who aren't into mobile games but love Fate. You are awesome Dai! Thank you!
Id love to see a video like this about my best boy Cu Alter someday
Great video as always
TittyArtoria = best Artoria massive tracks of land
Travis Sanchez nice Monty python reference
O-oppai
*(Dies in nosebleed)*
Additional Bedivere sure looks like artoria XD
Another saber has been added Welp atleast *Sumanai-san* is no longer lonely
*(Watch the drama CD in my channel and you'll know what I'm talking about XD)*
Bedivere is a male Saberface so does Proto Arthur count as Bedi-face??? lol
Jee Chan
Hmm.. maybe no? Becaus-
Wait if only Bedivere cutted his hair maybe he'll look like prototype Arthur
Jee Chan Well, Proto-Saber actually came first, so it's more like Bedivere is an Arthurface =p
Ahri I'd be interested in seeing that.
Caster artoria
She has to marry someone though...
Hmmm
That theoretical version of artoria would probably be in the top 20 strongest servants in the series. That much power is INSANE to imagine
I had just a headcanon like that !
The usage of "Night of Fate" from the 2006 Fate was excellent! Props to you. :D
You were waiting for Camelot to come out for this, weren't you?
John Peacekeeper I mostly wanted to remake Artoria but thought that wouldn't count as this week's upload.
Two minutes in, and I already managed to shed a tear.
Bedi is the purest cinnamon roll in the whole Camelot singularity and deserved nothing bad
Further develops. That's one way to say that.
Camelot was an amazing campaign to play through. It made it more epic when the final fight came and my last remaining servant was Saber Artoria to stand alone to finish the fight against Lancer Arturia (who had a lot of HP left).
That was my experience for the most part.
Bedivere has every right to be a saber. HE FOUGHT MORDRED GAWAIN AND LION KING ARTHUR FOR FUCK SAKE,
you sure know how to take my attention,i subed
2:22
Adorable yet sad. A shame how things went down between the two tbh.
Great Lore video as always
How sad that is after the events of fate stay night artoria decides to give up on the grail and finally die...
Her Lancer version truly shows her *mature* side....
and longer hair, you think you be able to climb it :D
Love your videos!!
Oh! Do Illya! That would be an interesting video! Especially with the drastically different nature of Prism Illya to other Fate/ stories.
No lying almost cry knowing the truth about bedivere before the final fight
Bedi best boy deserve my 2 grail :)
Bedivere should have never been story locked gacha. He deserves to be NP5.
Somehow I got him as soon as I started the game XD
Same with Karna and Rama. Just right off the bat, boom. There they were
I can only "Wait and Hope" to roll for her once more. She is the last Saberface on FGO NA that I haven't got yet.
Ironically Lancer artoria was the first 5 star I rolled in my playthrough
god the child Mordred and mama arturia was just too adorable
She's got HUGE...Tracts of land!
Bedi is Best Boy
Could you imagine the conversation at Fate/Zero's Banquet of Kings with The Lion King replacing Saber, to debate with Gilgamesh and Iskandar? Would be awesome!
I doubt it would somehow be more interesting than the original banquet, but I would love to see that just to witness how they react.
I know I'm replying to an old comment, but doesn't Gil hate goddesses? I'm not sure he'd necessarily be down to party with her.
Best Fate Channel
She's the proof that sabers are flat (except for nero because umu power)
And lancers=boobs
Purity fbi Umu's original designs weren't as busty so I think you've got a point.
@@OtakuDaiKun the power of umu is the strongest passive ability in existence
Liz destroys that theory already
Im happy i got Artoria Lancer in paid gacha
Hell yeah Momo San me too!
I really appreciate this video as I'm doing a Camelot letsplay series and the entire thing has pretty much had me scratching my head all like: "dafaq?"
This video clarified a lot I was confused about. Muchas gracias from the denizens of the interwebs!
You know, from watching the anime, i never would have known that the Saber from 0 and SN was not physically an adult... thanks Japan.
Mystery Man Well she does carry herself like an adult.
Max Duhl I totally agree.
Gautam Sarathy That art doesn't look like his work.
OtakuDaiKun It's not, but apparently he pushed the actual artist to do it or something.
You sound like a medieval story teller
Must save for her...
Roberto Espindola must save for her alter version
Shine/Zero I'm more of a vanilla kind of guy.
i got her in paid gacha.
patrick watkins Lucky bastard. I got spook by og saber. Not that I'm complaining.
Nope, she didn't submit, she still wanted to fight, but the master was yanked from the singularity before she got the chance. Also Bedivere's soul was destroyed, he's gone for good. The Bedivere from the throne is another one with no connection to all of this.
1:06 ...in more ways than one, if you catch my drift.
bedi is definitely one of the most loyal anime characters ever.
I'd like to see an Anime adaptation of this storyline.
In the game was David or Martha involved in this arc?
Ya really hope they make a full anime adaptation of with all singularities also no David and Martha were not involved in Camelot
neither
we got Dio, Gramps and Squad and then the Knights of the Round Table and eastern travelers
No, not this arc.
Don't forget Holmes
Haze S He's gonna need his own video for sure.
I like her 2nd art more than the 3rd...
Just finished Camelot today (I'm 3 month late orz....) and proceed to find some video about best boi Bedi.
Dammit dw, I play this game for waifu. But now I keep collecting husbando... Bedi is just too precious~
where did you read it?
How long are they gonna make me wait for Servant Sir Kay... I want him to meet Artoria's "grave robber" (Emiya, lol).
So what you're saying is Goddess Rhongomyniad is pretty much just if the medieval catholic church was a waifu
Emiya:....Why...why...WHy I couldn't I summon her!
Ishtar: Probably because you have luck rank A while her majesty here need luck rank EX.
Lancer Arthoria: Ahh...you must be the famous hero only known as Emiya...Make me dinner.
Emiya: Wha....
Lancer Arthoria: Do make haze, then maybe you get to lay on my...*tease* pillow.
Emiya: Right away your majesty!
Ishtar: Oh for my sake, why don't you two get a room!
I've heard his Welsh version Bedwyr could use magic and had a magic spear with no name it would be really cool to see this in fgo one day maybe even get a star or 2 more
He was known to use dark magic to seduce and subdue his foes with great skill and aggression. He was feared by many and although the townspeople frequently asked for his hanging, King Arthur still held him in high regards.
wielder of a magic lance
"The head of his spear comes away from its shaft, it draws blood from the wind and lands on its shaft again"
I heard that the black magic thing was all bs-☠
@@milky8471 aw
@@jonathanhall3640 But he was still pretty strong with his lance. I heard that he slayed giant along with kay and Arthur ?
After a long wait, I finally rolled her at long last from Knights of Round Table banner. I'm so happy
do remember bedivere is the best waifu
If Iskandar only knew how much her people looked up to her.
What happens with Excalibur in the end? Does Bedivere ever give it back to the lady in the lake or does it fade away with him?
mizuhonova I actually can’t remember. Don’t know how relevant it is if the Lion King is defeated.
Bedivere's shiny arm was concealing Excalibur the entire time. He used it to deal the final strike on the Lion King.
Ivan Gonzalez Oh damn, really? I can’t believe I didn’t notice that.
@@OtakuDaiKun Yep! It was basically the thing that kept him alive all those years and why every time he used his arm he would feel immense pain. It even shocked the Lion King.
Hey i was gonna ask will you ever explain fate grand order and it's singularitys like you did with fate apocrypha and stay night
Bedi bedi bedivere!! Bedi bedi bedivere!!
If only it was Prototype Arthur in this instead with The Lance instead and how intense it would of been with the knights under the order Also you didnt mention about Gareth Gawain's Sister cause she gets super depressed and has no choice but have Gawain Destroy the guy they were against and Gareth Herself.
I loved your video, it helped me a lot to understand the difference between the two characters and what made it happen ! I couldnt find the name of the music although that you used in your video at 7:06, if you ever see this comment i'd be glad to learn its name so i can listen to it to relax ♥
You'll find that track as part of the 2006 Fate Stay Night anime OST.
@@OtakuDaiKun Are you capable of telling me at which part it is approximately ? Because, since the full is approximatly 1h20... i'll die before finding it !🤣
Well to respond to my own commant, the music exactlue is "Unmei no Yoru" Check it out guys !
ua-cam.com/video/WJXw0lL5-vA/v-deo.html
Bedivere is a fucking bro, seriously. Nasu has shafted a lot of Servants and Heroic Spirits in the past, but this, this is a show of pure respect, and I respect Nasuverse Bedivere. Sorry if this post came off a bit incoherent.
From the king of lion to the goddess of lion if that not an upgrade I don’t know what is(but I like the normal saber better)
Shirou would have had NO problem with giving her... Mana yeah mana lol
So let me see I understand this. Lancer Artoria is an AU version of original the fate stay night saber or am I wrong? I'm sorry that I'm asking this question. The fate lore of the female saber class is very confusing to a fate newb like myself.
elimDBZ Yeah, Fate has a bunch of AU stuff. Lancer Artoria is from an AU where things played out differently.
Beautiful work as always and....fuck it, I just have to say this otherwise it will just make me go insane:Artoria as a lancer gives her very impressive 'plot' and Bedivere I think turned into a guy damn Fate universe you and your genderbending holds no bounds.
"Um aktwally her name is "All-try-a."
*NO. Now go cry in the quicksand next to Kuro*
Bedivere, Best Boy
