Big thank you to your Dad Anna because he is the one who asked you to focus on your art and hire some people to help paint the house. I remember you mentioned that in one of your videos.
Hi Phillip maybe try...Strip it back, sand it, vacuum it with the grain, tacky cloth with the grain, CONDITION the wood, then stain the seal. The conditioner will help even the stain saturation giving you a nicer wood finish. Hope that helps. Anna you are amazing as usual.
That colourman's work is magical!
Yes he is brilliant at his colour mixing which for many gentlemen is very hard as many do not have the same colour rods in their eyes. Which is why many ladies find their menfolk cannot see the various colours in our outfits as ladies see the colours. ( it's not the 'colourblind' green/red problem). But has to do with the number of colour rods in the eyes
I am stunned to see the paint blender dipping the ladle into the buckets of colour pigments without cleaning it, and having drips fall into other buckets as well You can see the contamination of each pigment as he does it. Wow! Obviously he knows what he is doing, but the pigments must become muddy and impure. As a painter, it curls my toes!
The paper is amazing, the amount of work that goes into it for specific colors, just wow. I love that your idea went from your dreams, to paper, to making your colors, to being manufactured. And all that went into that to color match. You must be so proud of yourself! I absolutely love this happened, and you made all this happen. What an amazing talented woman you are. ❤️
You're on a roll Anna! (sorry couldn't help it😅) Congratulations your work is beautiful! 🎉
😂
😂😅
Not for the first time I stand in awe of Anna's presentation skills - top class.
When Dan and the boys at Chaumont get to the wallpaper stage, I hope they enlist your help!
Congratulations, Anna, on producing the most beautiful, vibrant, modern yet classic design. It’s a triumph.👏👏.
What a treat🩵🤍💛🤍💙
Thank you so much for sharing your exciting creation and collaboration Anna.
What a talented, passionate artist you are🤩
I didn’t understand different dye lots before🤯
Looks like lots of sanding dear Philip🕊️
Philipp, you have created a weathered look! I think you’re on to something. And it’s something you can take to a next level.
Really incredible to see people working with their hands and their skills in conjunction with 150-year old machines to produce these wonderful, gorgeous wallpapers. You deserve every bit of joy, abundance and fulfillment that are shining on your face in this video, Anna!
Congratulations Anna! I'm so excited for you. You are so deserving of every success.
This is so completely fabulous! So excited for you!
Kudos to your (super cute) tour guide manager , this Magical-Meister Colorist , and this gentle lady at the rolling machine, they all got to be so proud of their work.
Thank you for sharing the incredible mechanics of printing your wallpaer designs ! I love it ! The engineering of the printing process is awesome !
Also, colorization is an art/science by someone with the knowledge and a good eye !
Very excited for you, Anna. I can see the well deserved pride in this lovely art product. 😊
Anna, watching the wall paper process was simply magical! Such beautiful papers. 💛💙💚
Your peasantry is greatly appreciated, Phillip. Let's not forget you're a prince among influencers. One can't wear too many crowns at once.
Anna, what a fantastic development for your art! Well done finding such a beautiful printing process to share the creative process with. Between the gentle folding rolls of printed paper and the swirling colours in the paint mixing process a few itches have been scratched. So satisfying!
Amazing wallpapers! Amazing factory! What a story! 😊
Congratulations, Ana! I wish you many, many orders 🎉
Thank you for taking us behind the scenes to see how this wallpaper is made. Such a treat!

The both of you never cease to amaze me. I admire your jolly enthusiasm, talent and hard work. I wish you always get your well deserved success and happiness. Thank you very much for sharing that happiness with me.
"Congratulations," Anna, and good luck Phillip. Well at least you've got success with the Boat.
Congratulations on getting your wallpaper printed. So fascinating to see the process in action.
What an AMAZING antique machine, how brilliant was the ' engineer ' ( probably an inventive Printer) to actually design the machine
The wallpaper is lovely, peppermint is my favourite. The factory is wonderful, the colourist incredible. I live in Lancashire and looked the factory up, thank you for showing us your epic experience Anna.😊
I think Philip should hide out in the boat before Anna and Benoit see the stain job disaster…. Maybe even sail away for a couple of weeks
😂
@@HowToRenovateAChateau Before you stain wood add a "conditioner" to the wood, let dry & then stain. Hardward store or paint store will have wood conditioner.
The wallpaper looks amazing, how exciting seeing it all come to life. Very interesting seeing how it's all done.
For Philip, I think after putting on the colour and waiting a few minutes it needs to be wiped with a cloth to get the excess dye off and then do a second coat with the same procedure.
Thanks for the tips!
Sooo beautiful Anna🌻😊 ! Congratulations 🎉❤
Thank you so much!!
Consider sandblasting the cabinet and starting over. Or save the cabinet for a future vacation property project. I'm very impressed by Anna's new wallpaper design and line. I hope you all look into a line of home products next. Perhaps get some home design fabrics printed for sheets, curtains, and pillows.
Waaw Anna, how tremendous ! It's so nice of you to give us a tour of this traditional factory. Some superb craftsmanship, and it's so rejoicing to see it preserved to this day ! 💝 I love the continuation and preservation of old crafts. You can see it in Haute Couture often, with the niche specialities of the sewing of feathers or pearls for instance, but more rarely in the area of interior decoration like that, those old carved wooden print cylinders were gorgeous.
Thank you for taking us with you to the factory .I was so impressed by the process of Making the wallpaper. It was so inspiring that you made your own design!
Congratulations Anna, your own paper line is a big accomplishment!! 🎉And is so beautiful!!
The varnish has to be compatible with the stain, = water based stain, water based varnish, alcohol stain, alcohol varnish.
Such talented people! Excited for the launch! Congrats again!
Just BEAUTIFUL!, Congratulations!
Congratulations Anna🙌🏼👏🏻🎉🤩Your wallpaper looks amazing. You must be over the moon excited, and you deserve to be . Well done beautiful lady❤️
Anna your are one talented lady with such patience and a drive for perfection. Congratulations to you and your wonderful artistic talent.
Congratulations Anna!!! How exciting!! I am so happy for you 😊💕
Fantastic job Anna !! They are beautiful. I worked in small printing shops for about 20 years here in Canada and to see this side of printing blows me away. Thank you for sharing this with us and Congratulations. It truly is wonderful !!!!
Congratulations, Anna! Your wall papers are gorgeous.
Congratulations Anna, how wonderful for you. I love your wallpapers and it is so cool to see them printed on a larger scale.
Once your chateau has been completed I can foresee you opening a business of full-time wallpaper design. There’s a huge potential for growth here. It all depends upon the time you have to devote to future design projects.
Congratulations for the wallpaper. So much talent on show both from Ana and also from the team at the factory. Definitely the right decision to produce all 3 colourways. Amazing job you deserve every success x
How very cool to watch!! So excited for you to see your wallpaper come to life!
Quelle satisfaction de voir la création de son papier peint naître sous ces machines , bravo Anna, vous pouvez être fière de vous 👏👏👍💜
Interesting how the wallpaper is produced, there is still a lot of industrial heritage around the North of England still being used all these years later. Down the road from where I live. Thanks for taking us with you .
Anna, thank you for taking us along on the process @ the factory! I enjoyed seeing each step.❤
It makes me so happy to see something quality being made in England 🏴❤
Well done Anna! So deserved. ❤❤❤
It's incredible all what you have done so far ! You have all my respect. Hugs from Liechtenstein !
Congrats Anna. The wallpapers are lovely.
I think you may have applied the stain wrong. I’ve always brushed the stain on then wiped it into the wood, which takes the excess away before allowing it to dry, then varnishing it. Just a thought
So happy for you Anna that your exciting venture has resulted in such an exquisite outcome. The designs are quite frankly stunning and seeing them produced on these machines gives them an authenticity and beauty seldom seen in modern wallpapers. Many, many congratulations
Anna I am so happy for you! 🎉🎉🎉
The wallpapers are so lovely Anna! Great work! You have every right to be proud. It’s a fantastic achievement! I like the dark cabinet Phillip, but yes, the finish is terrible. Maybe sand back and paint in a nice ink/charcoal colour? Commiserations to Benoit though for his beautiful woodwork
Hi Anna, thank you for taking us along on your exciting trip! I am convinced that your wallpaper line will be a great succes. The Dutch market is ready for you, because here wallpaper is trendy again.
Fascinating! Loved learning about the wallpaper printers and colourists.. so clever!
Ana, parabéns!! So happy to see your project is happening! God blessed you!
Varnishing was once considered a craft that took years to learn and master., Can the cabinet be sanded back to what it once was? If not, I would go back to Benoit and beg him for a brand new one. Oak is such a precious material. The Pethericks use a covering named Ozmo (sp?) on all their oak made surfaces. Live and learn?!
I agree! Osmo! It brings out the beautiful oak!
Well done Anna such a tremendous accomplishment, best wishes and good luck with your future runs xx
Congratulations, you must be so excited. It's really interesting how the company prints and colors it.
The wallpapers are exquisite. So glad you found a company that produce it to your satisfaction. Kudos to you!
Congratulations, Anna! I hope you find great success in marketing your decorating.
I love the wallpaper Anna! I would love to see you duplicate the delph tiles you made that are behind the stove in the kitchen and turn it into a wallpaper for kitchens. Great beauty, talent, and so smart!! It's so chateau chic!!
Congratulations, Anna! You’re so talented and deserving of the success and happiness that will come from sharing your gift! ❤
Huge congrats… esp for the lovely deep blue one!!

Anna, beautiful! So talented.
So happy for you, Anna!
Love all the wallpapers
Anna, You're "on a roll"! I'm so happy for you! and well done Dad who I must have missed suggesting that you try to concentrate more on your talent! I'm on the waitlist and do so hope that the price is such that I can paper the small newly plumbed, downstairs loo with the original avocado suite, in the "peppermint"🤞As there are already 800 people on the list I'm not holding my breath|😃
Meanwhile the "Peasant" is doing a good job with the menial tasks back at home 😃Really hope you can find some of that beautiful marble that your helper gifted you.
🎨 🖌️ Very exciting on your newest creative endeavor. Well done, Anna
Congratulations on your beautiful wallpaper Anna!
Such Awesomeness!
I’m so happy for you, Anna. You’ve done any amazing job from design to printing. Congratulations!! Phillip, I feel your pain-I’ve had several disappointments when staining , painting, etc. I think my next step might be to sand it and paint it with a semi gloss finish. But I’m no expert. It’s a beautiful piece of craftsmanship, so it can’t be but so bad no matter what you do. The bathroom/dressing room is gorgeous! Love your sense of humor always! LOL😊
Congrats Anna! You deserve it. I think you should just put two white pedestal sinks in the bathroom.
These beautiful waves of art…❤ 3:43
After watching your videos I find myself going on long paint color explorations! Your influence is global Anna, thank you so much for your videos & love of art & color!
Phillip, if you don't like the sink base just strip the stain & sealer off. I know with stain that means sanding too! I'm so sorry this project is not going the way you'd like🤗🥺❤️. So frustrating!
Awesome factory and prints
So proud of you and your dream wallpapers! 🇨🇦
Brilliant, Anna! Congratulations! Phillip, don't worry, a solution will arrive!🎆
I knew the wood dye would dry unevenly. You didn't wipe down the excess paint with a lint free cloth. And you applied the dye unevenly, some areas had 2 layers and others areas you went over 3 or more times. 😂
😄🎉🥂Congratulations Anna, they look perfect!
You typically don’t apply stain the same way as paint. Once brushed on, you wipe off excess. Too light? You repeat (until it’s as dark as you want it). It seems, from what I saw, you left the stain sitting on the surface. It absorbs differently, depending on the grain. Thus your light and dark areas. Start sanding. . .
Phillip, I suggest “antique-ing” the cabinet. With silver, gold, white or any color. Have Anna do it, it takes a light hand. You could do a testing on scrap. Then it won’t look like black lacquer. Always consider durability of the completed surface💋
Phillip get the paint stripper. Use soft steel wool. After getting the first attempt stripped. Lightly clean the piece with mild detergent and water. Let it dry 24 hours. Apply the stain let it dry 48 hours. Then apply a good varnish. I have restored many pieces it just takes time and patience. Goodluck.
I’m excited for you Anna. Best of all wishes being sent your way - Big Squeezie Hug & high fives!!
Phillip, don’t feel bad, it took my poor (talented) husband about 7 months to get the stain process right on our newel post and main staircase banisters. He ended up doing it 3x before succeeding….. which meant he had to buy new raw wood each time and that was not cheap!! We used a dark stain too and there was no way to sand it down so each time he had to completely start over from scratch….it was very frustrating, not to mention time consuming. So good news is, we are barely still married (lol, jk) AND you are by far not alone!! Your marriage will be completely bullet proof once this entire reno project is finally over, trust me.
Best of Luck - YOU CAN DO IT, don’t give up!!
Such wonderful talent. You & your husband are adorable.
The wallpaper process is amazing.
Great colours ❤
Phillip I do not think you are in trouble. Anna may be able to help out. Keep your chin up Phillip. All is not lost.
