Keeping it a secret from family and friends is a great idea. Not everyone will support or look to see you winning. Especially if you already know your not gonna be great off the jump. You gotta crawl before you walk. 😊
I am recently retired and loosing my mind with boredom. I have always been artistic and I do my own full cover nail tips and have been practicing designs and painting.. Great video. I feel like we haven't had a video from you in a long time. Keep up the great work.
It’s really nice to hear that someone else kept everything quiet for a year before telling friends and family. I’m doing the same and feel a little guilty but as a shy person I’m afraid the pressure would get to me! Really appreciate all the work you put into your content. I started my shop about 3 months ago and I’m starting to gain some confidence and customers ❤
I’m curious to know how telling people you know about your business went! Did it change the way you feel about what you’re doing? Was anyone weirded out that you didn’t tell them? I’ve been so nervous someone will find out before I’m ready haha😅
Great video! I would like to add on to the part about prices. Something I learned as a Nailtech myself is that when you start off by offering low prices you will attract the wrong customers. And when it’s time to raise the prices you will lose them. So it’s good to know your worth from the very beginning and make sure your products are high quality from the start so practice practice practice
That is very good advice ❤ I’m an artist and you’re absolutely right on the customers reactions to lower vs higher prices! I had to learn that the hard way 😢 but I know my worth and the ones who still stuck with me do too ❤
Thank you for number one, because I am trying. I am hurting inside and doing nails makes me feel happier. It’s peaceful and fun, and I believe everyone in this world can do something that they love and provide a service for others ❤thank you for showing this!
I am literally starting my business rn! This video was much needed, because I have always liked doing my nails and drawing and I wanted to mix the two. But I keep hesitating but now I'm just gonna go for it lol thank you so much for the useful advices!!!
nail godmother has done it again! 😩 thank you for your tips! i'm currently making sets for myself and for friends at no charge but am thinking of selling one day! i just always second-guess my work/ quality... 😭
thank you for the advices! I´ve been struggling with starting my bussiness because the fear of external opinions and I know that its couse I dont value my work enough. But with your words I learned that to fight that fear I just have to trust myself and take the first step. I hope you´re doing very well with bussiness and life!
This is a wonderful video for every creative person looking to start an independent business. Every point you gave was essential and well explained. As a young artist navigating the independent/freelance world, I found this super relatable and coherent. Keep up the great work!❤
Thanks for inspiring me to get into the press on business, you have no idea how super helpful you have been. I ordered the card templates to get an idea of how to create mine. I appreciate you. Looking forward to your future videos. ❤
I love how organized you are ❤ I’m going to be working on my own nail business soon! I’m so excited and thankful for your videos! Wish you all the best ❤
I got your videos in my recommended while browsing, and I'm so glad I stumbled upon this! I'm going to try making press on nails, and although I don't see myself starting a shop, I'm hoping it'll be a viable option someday. 💜 For now, I'm going to use this as some *much* needed motivation! :D
Can you do a video explaining tip sizes? I’m trying to start my own business, but to know what tip sizes i should use. I dont want it to be complicated where i’m up all night/day making orders to fit my customers nails. What would be a standard size.
I was so excited to see you post a new video and ran straight here! As always, enjoy all the information you provided! I’m also thinking about opening up a press on shop, but yes keep telling myself to wait until I have everything figured out 😂 But thanks for giving me the advice I needed to hear to just start!!
Thank you so much... I literally am starting out just like you did... I was at home after injuring myself at work and have become down and bored out of my mind so for some reason I saw a YT video on nails and said "hey I should try that" and in my true ADHD fashion I went out and brought everything possible and now I'm learning everyday by teaching myself thru YT videos, Interesting and trial/error...so glad I found this video coz I was feeling a little lost and thinking I just wasted all this money thinking I wasn't gonna be good enough. I just went thru my old nails I have been practising this past month and I realise I have improved massively already so now more confident for future.. hopefully I will be able to start selling in new year...
Tysm! Your content has been so helpful!!! I'm thinking of starting a press-on business as I already create nail art content on YT, IG and TikTok. But I'm UK based so not sure what the market is like for these here
Hello can you also address the safety concerns on making press ons esp in small rooms at home 🏡 I’m a nail technician and I’m used to the fumes at the salon even with masks but I’m gravitating towards wanting to do press ons at home although even some of the Korean /japanese products have such a strong smell unfortunately they are labeled HEMA free etc I guess that’s the only thing that throws me off are the fumes and chemicals from doing nails at home and making large quantities 😅
I’m a licensed cosmetologist who has done nails for years…I was curious as to why you used acid etching on the top of the press ons? Usually we only do this on the inside.
I just started taking creating content more seriously to build an audience for my upcoming brand and everyone says tiktok is the best to go viral but I’m barely getting any views on there 😢 any tips?
This video is so helpful.. I’m just starting my nail business but I’m still growing clientele.. I never thought of offering press ons but I’m seriously considering it now. Thank you so much!
I’m just about to start to start making my first set and you THE BESTTT been watching your videos on binge Thankk you so much for taking all of us in this journey 🙌🏻🩷
Hello! I am just now starting my own press-on nail business. I’ve been doing my own nails and friends and families nails for about 2 years now so I have some built up talent. I want to include a sizing kit for customers to purchase but I don’t know how much to charge for this kit, what do you think a fair price for a sizing kit would be for a beginner press-on nail artist?
I just love your videos. I was trying to figure out why you stand out so much, beyond your amazing work, and it's your calm, intelligent approach. You feel genuine and authentic. That means a lot to me, so i do appreciate you sharing. I am curious about what you are using yo hold your mpf tips. I have been struggling with where I should lay them when I am working.
I, too, am just starting, and my question is... what press on nails should I start with? 🤔 I want them to be sturdy and look good. However, just not apres gel x ready. Is this the brand you started with? I am very curious to hear what you have to say... and have only shared my idea with 1 friend as he is very supportive to me and this endeavor. Great video, btw! Where do you suggest it is best to start posting first? Lmao 🤣 I dont even have a name as yet!?
Where do you recommend to start buying the materials if I want to learn? I have bought some cute pearls on shein just to do it on my self but I would like to know where to buy the good products to start (the tips, glue, nail polish, etc)
I’m mostly a copy and paste nail artist, I struggle with creativity but I watched your video on how to work around that. If I start off with just recreating and selling other nail designs but don’t know WHO created it, do I just tag the person I saw the inspo from?
I started and put up my shopify but I haven’t gotten orders. I share my page but nothing. I feel like I need to go on etsy or something to find clients. I keep paying $39 every month with no revenue. Thanks for all your advice
agreed if you’re starting out and having a hard time driving traffic, a marketplace platform that would allow for more exposure while you get started might make more sense for now! 🫶
so i finished my nailart course last week and thinking to take a little time to practice before officially opening my own nailart studio. but i noticed how stressed i am when doing someone else's nails, like the pressure is just overwhelming, thus, i kept on making mistakes. i wonder if i should just do press-on nails instead of doing actual person's nails... what do u think? should i do press-on or an actual service?
I live in Australia and it’s difficult to find products with the same quality. My biggest anxiety is selling something that’s not worth it’s price. I’m not sure how to tackle this problem 😓
I am very interested to learn. I can draw. So I am confident the skills is there. All I need to do is to know the basic products that I needed to start. Please help me. ❤ (Quality products is what I intended to buy. 😊
After months of practicing on close friends and myself I finally started and made an acc on TikTok and instagram but I have no idea how to get ppls attention 😭 the only ppl that I get are my followers (friends). I also don’t know how to communicate through my acc with the whole policies thing do I make a post do I put it in my highlights? And I still don’t have a website bc I don’t get any customers so if by some miracle I get my first customers how do I do the transaction 😭 this is so overwhelming idk what to do and I feel like someone here can help me?
Hey, I love your videos and I learn so many things from your videos …please do me a one more favour…I don’t know standard size of press on nails tips that fits all so I can make press on nails in advance without sizing please help me and reply my comment..❤it means a lot to me.

I love that quote from Rick Rubin! It makes so much sense and it has stayed with me since watching this video on release day! Thank you ❤

Can you create a video showcasing the products you use, with extra focus on your gel polishes?
Could you make a video about what nail ingredients you recommend looking for and what you recommend avoiding?

How do you know what sizes /length to use without measuring the client's nails?
do you have a rec for a nail dust collector? :o
Thank you! And I mean it :)
I’m a licensed cosmetologist who has done nails for years…I was curious as to why you used acid etching on the top of the press ons? Usually we only do this on the inside.

so cool!
I just started taking creating content more seriously to build an audience for my upcoming brand and everyone says tiktok is the best to go viral but I’m barely getting any views on there 😢 any tips?
Good tips
With the Apress tips, when applying the sheer bass the number always shows through. How do you prevent this
I was wondering if you had any artistic background before starting nails or if you really just jumped into it
This video is so helpful..
You got this!
where did you purchase the under desk drawer where you put your dust collector?? It's so genius! How durable should the drawer be?

Hi! How you make the press on nails? I mean... What about the right size? Do you make one of each?
I, too, am just starting, and my question is... what press on nails should I start with? 🤔

Very well said!
Where do you recommend to start buying the materials if I want to learn? I have bought some cute pearls on shein just to do it on my self but I would like to know where to buy the good products to start (the tips, glue, nail polish, etc)
How do you clean your brushes after doing a design? Do you just use acetone on the bristles ?
What kind of glue do you use and how long do they stay on ?
I’m mostly a copy and paste nail artist, I struggle with creativity but I watched your video on how to work around that. If I start off with just recreating and selling other nail designs but don’t know WHO created it, do I just tag the person I saw the inspo from?
Yes make an effort to try to find the artist, and if you end up finding the OG later update the tag!
I started and put up my shopify but I haven’t gotten orders. I share my page but nothing. I feel like I need to go on etsy or something to find clients. I keep paying $39 every month with no revenue. Thanks for all your advice

Can u do a wear test? What makes the nail stick is nail glue really enough?

Where did you get the tape that you use to mount the nails, from? Been looking for a while for something like that
Love them❤❤
How long did it take before you started making enough sells to do this full time?
I follow you on Instagram as well and your nails are gorgeous. Maybe you can do a video on how u photograph your nails.
Can I copy designs from Instagram accounts? Or other places online?
How to know about nails size?
I live in Australia and it’s difficult to find products with the same quality. My biggest anxiety is selling something that’s not worth it’s price. I’m not sure how to tackle this problem 😓

File the inside of the nails before painting

Do you need a business license to start this press on nail business?
No, but it’s a good idea to get one. It doesn’t have to be right away, but it’s highly recommended.
