The "awkard small talk" part is so true! Although when I'm at that part, I also like to look at those set up moments as an opportunity to build some repor that isn't topic related and it can help to make an interviewer come across as more genuine if done well.

Thanks for making this! I need to invest in that mic. You have good audio with it. So you have to sync up the audio with the video afterwards, was wondering about that.
Question: Has the mic ever died on you with the batteries running out? Would it save the audio for you if that happens?
Check out an Adobe premiere tutorial for syncing audio. Mic hasn’t died on me yet! I always carry extra batteries and check the battery level beforehand. I have a lot more issues with iPhone storage space than audio

**WIND INTENSIFIES**
Like I said - the wind is a consistent problem, but upgrading is super expensive. For the money, it’s a great mic
I've had several people dm me about this and I basically gave the exact same response. Buy a decent mic and use your phone... audio is always more important.
Also a windscreen for the mic is crazy important. Wind noise will make your video unwatchable.

Off-topic. You have the same problem as I did: a recessed maxilla, which can be fixed surgically. The surgery will help you breathe through your nose a lot better, help you sleep better, and make it easier to talk. Or it did for me anyway. Have a look into it.
Just looked into it and I don't think I have that. I've never had dental/speech issues and can breathe through my nose just fine (unless I have allergies, which happens a lot)

Adobe premiere pro, I’ve heard Final Cut Pro is good as well
I use da vinci resolve for editing other stuff (hopefully vegan outreach videos soon!) Its completely free and does everything you need
I don't get how you sync the audio with the video because it's 2 separate files, right?
They're separate but then you merge them together. What editing software are you using?
@@Natalie.Fulton I haven't tried it yet, but I wanted to do some on the street interviews, with just one of them cellphone mics. I'm using iMovie when I get it going.

Why does you mic need a chip ? Isnt it bluetooth connected to the camera ?
