Both hold a lot if value. It depends how much you do in these roles - some medical clinics and practises allow IMG/clinic assistant to do a lot of patient care/assessments/ordering diagnostics while getting sign offs from the physician. That is great. However, research roles benefit more if you want to do a master's and want to show the residency board you have a local Masters here, research experience, as well as patient facing experience. I would do both if I were you. Try two part time roles?

I am a MBBS doctor and they wanted just the MBBS degree and three years work experience. The job they offer is in the field of Research and Development which is little vague, but I am under the assumption that since they are specifically looking for MBBS doctors that it might be Clinical Research. The locale is province of Ontario. Do you have any idea about it? I am presuming this is what you are explaining in the video? depending on the location and institution some require english-french bilingual, but majority just require fluency in english.
