I read Yesterday that the production budget for this movie was somewhere around $75 million so it would be the highest production budget for a A24 movie to date. I think people's interest in the film Will grow the closer it gets to it's springtime release in April.
a24 aren't the production company for the film.
Will it be available in Hindi because I want to buy
It had my interest right up until they mentioned TX and CA joining forces. Also the fact Hollywood approved this tells me all I need to know about it.
@@Redneck2393 Alliance of Expediency. And there are people moving back and forth between the two states...
I see 750 million easy.
I love people talking in the theater. Adds to the experience
One time, I got to see the inside of a C-17. For me personally, it felt like a haunted house. The fact that people would willingly climb into what essentially was a giant flying go-kart, to jump out of it mid-flight and go kill or be killed, made me realize humanity is insane. Look, I like my war games. I like my violent entertainment. What I don't like is it actually happening, and to reduce the possible deaths of your friends, family, and neighbors to entertainment just hits a little too close to home. Mostly because I know what I would do in such a situation, and can't decide whether death is the preferable option compared to victory. Either way, you die, whether it be physically or spiritually.
Im kinda reading this as a “anti-war” movie. Kinda like how “all quiet on the western front” is anti-war.
What do you think about this new Trailer, are you going to check this out? Let us know down below.
Yeah.... Commiefornia and Texas together? No chance. They did that to give California a decent fight.
@@TheCreepercrusader imagine a Hispanic or conservative take over of the 2 states, leading to a unification and coalition of the western states. It's not just the 2 states, 19 states seceded, a bunch of them seem to be on the 2 star side. Since the flag is 2 stars, I lean toward a conservative take over that is fighting against a 3 term democrat administration that is no longer following the US constitution. The conservatives in the southern states got tired of being flooded with illegal immigrants and the 19 states got tired of being raked by harsh taxes to pay off the US debt.
@@BigTomInTheBasement But the map on the TV shows the South (Apart from Florida) as still being part of the US. Your scenario is probably the best-case one IMHO, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see when it comes out.
Get your bunkers ready and stock up now.
kirsten dunst !!!!! welcome back in action movie yeahhhh
Ahh, 824, my favourite production company 😂
I suspect they will invent some different division than "red/blue". And completely try to dissociate each side from Republicans/Democrats, maybe give facts and policies from both parties to each of the sides in the movie.
So the movie can really HIT home without creating more division. That's what would make it plausible to have California + Texas.
Interesting reaction. For those who want to learn the history A Teenager’s Guide to the Civil War: A History Book for Teens is a good read.
this was great you guys keep it up !!
Can you name anything they said that relates to the topic of a civil war?
This movie is going to released on April 24th 2024
Hey this movie looks pretty good. You guys gonna see it in theaters?
Probably my man, thanks for the comment!!!!!!!
Must see it on the big screen ..unless it's just more leftist propaganda. Right before the election.
So it's the Purge all over again.
02:44 could say there already is a civil war, its just a cold civil war atm.
These two game nerds will die in a first day of Civil War.
Alot of Americans will, including you more than likely
Actually I’ve learned this is basically why, in leave the world behind, they couldn’t go back to the city, because this is what was going on while they went on vacation. So you can call this part 2. Put it all together, the timeline fits. People be awake to this, predictable programming hints you on what’s to come. For the 20 years, I’ve always had a bug out bag…I never trusted the gov’t. I had a lot of family in the military (marines and army) so I’ve always been taught to be aware. Always be ready, sometimes things can just happen.
I think it's going to be at IMAX
I’m ready for this film
Lock and loaded?
PEOPLE THAT DON'T TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY ARE THE ONES WHO WILL BE CAUGHT IN IT. it's a WARNING. Prepare now or regret later.
In the beginning, you guys turned to each other to opine, by half-way through the trailer neither of you could take your eyes off of it.
This might be the most successful movie trailer ever.
I'm wondering if I should dress for the premier the way fans would get into costume for 'Rocky Horror Picture Show.'
What costume would you wear to a movie about a civil war? Just curious.
For starters a red baseball cap with the words 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!' on it. @@Redneck2393
Alternative History is a great genre, I would recommend books by Harry Turtledove, he writes great alternative history fiction!
It's not an alternative version it's our world today I feel like we're already on the path to another civil war here in the United States
I didn’t get small scale vibes
British Empire fell too , nothing lasts forever 😂
Well we know who Nick Offerman is suppose to be.
Do we? Because i'm struggling to see any kind of direct allusion to a real figure. You're suggesting it's Trump?
@@samgradyfilm It would have to be a someone so polarizing, 19 states secede and Texas & California form “the Western Alliance”.

Twin towers is a movie? 11 september is movie?
worry it will be woke
Of coarse it will. That's why they aren't giving the florida alliance its due credit. You think the South is poor naturally? No. It's by fucking design
although fiction it also most happened two years ago to you lot.
Four things tell me this movie will suck. 1: The writers did absolutely zero research on American culture and politics because the idea of Texas and California joining forces is just ludicrous, they are the two most ideologically opposed states in the country and would sooner go to war against each other than team up. 2: The fact that Hollywood approved this movie means it will definitely have a strong pro-liberal slant to it like all other 2CW movies/shows do. 3: I don't think it's a coincidence that this movie will be released on an election year and on a year which Texas is expected to actually vote on secession which means it's most likely pro-democrat, anti-secession propaganda. 4: Kirsten Dunst.
texas and california are both biggest economies and populations. they are both very into state rights. the trailer shows there is a 3 term president, so maybe they abandon political differences and fight together against a fascist federal government.
1. You really can't imagine a possibility of California and Texas governments being taken over either by all the Hispanics in those states or by conservatives in those states allowing for the team up? You know the state governments in those states have switched up in the past, right?
2. This movie isn't produced by Hollywood elites... though their movies don't end well for anyone.
3. There's a lot of interest in apocalyptic movies of the USA ending lately. Netflix released 'Leave The World Behind'. It could be predictive programming.
4. Dang she got old.
@@BigTomInTheBasement Not saying either state flipping is impossible, I just personally don't see it happening in the immediate future. Independent movies about 2CW aren't much better since most of them are biased heavily towards the left, go look up the 2017 movie Bushwick and the 2021 movie American Insurrection and you'll see what I mean.
@@Redneck2393 I'll check out those movies. You can look up a chart of the US debt interest payment. It's just about 1 trillion USD. How will the DC government pay for that? I estimate they will tax the hell out of anyone making any decent money. I can imagine all sorts of political change under that kind of circumstance.
@@BigTomInTheBasement That's actually a really good point, I didn't even take that into consideration. Plus the trailer mentions the president being a 3-term president which is something I think both parties can agree is wrong, so there's some common ground there as well. Those two movies are pretty bad though as far as realism goes, but they do show how not to make a 2CW movie. Honestly, the movie with the most realistic 2CW scenario was the 1997 movie The Second Civil War, but it's billed as a "Satirical comedy" film, so there's a lot of squandered potential there, definitely could have been great if it was made as a war drama.
When the man with the weapon asked the Hispanic Man, “What kind of American are you?” He was NOT referring to his political party affiliation. He was asking if he was Mexican-American, Guatemalan-American, etc. He was inquiring if he had dual loyalty, dual citizenship, dual passports, etc.
That’s what happens if you keep hyphenating yourself and don’t commit to just being “American.”
Seriously?!? _That's_ what happens? My first thought was..."what kind? there's just *Americans.* But obviously not the kind to you, buddy."
Eh, American used to mean something, now not so much. I go by Southern American...always. Maybe Anglo-American or heritage American.
Seems like the USA broke up into at least 3 parts in the movie. The 2 star flag seems to be the California and Texas American flag. Florida seems to have its own coalition and the rest seem to be the Northeast + Midwest. 19 states seceded from the USA. None of the journalists could answer.
No, he's asking what side they are on. Its not a race or ethnicity thing. In a real civil war scenario it will likely be hard to tell who is who, or who is loyal to whom, if at all.
You two used a lot of words and said close to nothing about the content of the film or the implications. You discuss other films by the director and people you find obnoxious. Clearly, you two have NO clue about the radical right groups in this country preparing for another civil war which they call the Boogaloo. Most of those militia groups that marched on our Capitol on Jan 6 all know about it and prob realize that a march on the Capitol is useless. Trump has 70% of Republicans that the election was stolen from him in 2020 with ZERO proof. What do you think will happen when he is disaqualified or convicted in court before the next election? Do you believe he will finally admit defeat or call for more violence against the libs, woke and Democrats that he has been doing since 2020? Don't waste your time doing a movie review unless you can actually say something coherent about the topic.
Very sorry you feel that way, but our channel isn’t here to pick sides or get into political debates. It’s escapism from the world around us, so I’m sorry you were looking for a deep dive into what’s happening in the world from a UA-cam reaction channel but this isn’t the platform you should be focused on for that kind of material in general.
@@DrunkDadsWatch why bother doing a review of this film when almost nothing was said about the content of the film?

How you know? The movie hasn't come out yet
Seems like predictive programming like Netflix's 'Leave The World Behind'
@@i.p.freely5974 The fact that republican states like Texas and Florida are among the seceding states could be a clue.
@@Redneck2393 Yeah, and California and New York also seceded, what's your point then? We have zero clue as to the politics or motives of this world, whether it's a near-future version of "us" or a near-future version but alternative history style.
@@LordLOC According to the map, New York is still part of the US. CA probably has its own reasons for leaving.
Terribly troubling considering how close we are to actually losing our democracy.
The USA is a Constitutional Republic. The only "democracy" TM is Democrat party rule.
Hopefully.
