If you watch Brian James in the Damned and Lords of the New Church you can see that he's practically double jointed. His reach, particularly in his solos, is incredible. An absolute monster guitarist who is criminally overlooked in favour of fiddly widdly fret w@kers. Great lesson Sir, I shall dust of the SG and give it a go!
This just brought me happiness. Thank you! Heard this since I was a kiddo when I bought Spaghetti Incident by Guns N' Roses and then learned about The Damned, through 'em. Learn it on drums 'cause that's my main thing but this feels SO cool and fun! As soon as they let us out in Lima (Perú, where I'm at), I'll go into a music store for a white Les Paul copy and learn this. Gotta live! Cheers! PS: Excellent Lesson, too. To the point and clear as drinkable water.

Ugggh! I can’t stretch my pinky that far without positioning my hand uncomfortably. I think I have unusually short pinky fingers, which limits some of the songs I can play. At least comfortably.
What model le s Paul is that? My first one was a kid 1970's standard in wine red. I will always regret selling it. But I was young and addicted to very sexy girl. Still have my 2nd new les paul i bought a year later.

I remember playing this in my first band when I was about 16. We were rubbish but had great fun making some noise.

It's a '76 Deluxe :)
@@thejaseguitar I had one same color with a full sized bill Lawrence humbucker in between. It was fun. Your guitar sounds great
He’s playing the riff too slowly.
