I have four trucks already setup with "wide/narrow" front rear. If we're not competing we just take the dually's off the rear and put single wheels back on. We're running BRX90/BRX70 axles....so we have weight down low without adding any weight.
Yes, your correct...the only drawback I've seen to overdriving the front or underdriving the rear is side-hilling.
