    I love the idea of this video. The title is “I Sparred the Greatest Female Boxer Alive” and instead of being about trying to beat her in the ring, it was about teaching his viewers about female boxing, promoting an incredible female athlete, and trying to help raise the sport up and give it the credit it deserves. Fantastic job once again, Dr. Mike. 👏👏👏

      Yes, I like the respect, but I feel that he implied some unfairness regarding women's salary.
      Let's keep in mind that in general, men are better in most sports than women, proportionnaly at the same skill level, therefore more interesting to watch.
      How much an athlete gets paid is not only based on the performance and skills, but also on the popularity... which has nothing to do with sexism.

    • @jahnavirainlover
      @jahnavirainlover 2 роки тому +8

      @@smashmusique It does if they're winning medals for the country... If they're winning, it's the country's responsibility to create that fame for the said individual. Someone as phenomenal as her must get paid for her skill as well. You're indirectly telling that women are not as good as men and don't deserve to be in sport. And they don't deserve that pay because you think that they are not as good. So... this is sexism

      @@jahnavirainlover Disagree, I'm directly saying women in general are not as good as men in sport, but they ''deserve'' to to be in sports, of course they can if they want.
      Are you telling me most women would win against most men in most sports?
      Like I said, salary is not only based on skill level, it's due to popularity. Women can be good, sometimes better than men, but the vast majority of men with the same experience will be better, it's just biology it's testosterone.
      The country has no responsibility for someone's popularity, let the market decide. Let the people choose who they want to watch.

      David John Lmaoo this video was taken to help her make her big break! And Dr. Mike wanted to give her the spotlight to show people that such a phenomenal person does exist. We already know that Dr.Mike is a great man. Isn't that why we subscribed and regularly listen to him?
      Nobody's forgetting about the men. It's just you pouting like a child just because a champion was introduced to the channel. Since you think that it was the men standing in the spotlight for years, suddenly, if a woman (according to you) takes the spot even for a moment, you start complaining? This also means that if your wife/partner suddenly got the attention for an accomplishment, you'd get jealous and not let her stand in the spotlight. This is narcissist behavior. I've seen it plenty of times to know it.

    • @miningjosh1742
      @miningjosh1742 2 роки тому +3

      @@jahnavirainlover Lmaoo So why do bearly any males get help with their big break?! And why do men not get the spotlight?
      It's just that you think woman must get praised for everything they do which is the norm. Men standing in the spot light doesn't mean they should be forgotten about, that's like saying "we should forget about god since he is existed before we did". Don't praise someone for being not lazy. Or not being a house wife. So just because men has not been lazy for years you must forget about them? This also means that if your husband/ partner suddenly gets the attention for the accomplishment, you'd get jealous of him and say "many men hasn't been lazy too!" This is a narcissist behavior. I've seen it plenty of times to know.

      @@miningjosh1742 I think anybody with a big break must get their spotlight. But you were the one worrying about the man when it was in fact the woman's big break. And winning championships in such a field isn't a normal thing. Anybody doing something like this must get their spotlight.
      And according to her story, there were men in the spotlight already! And she took their help for making her accomplishments known as well!

      There's no incentive to pay women the same amount as men in Sports, it even is outright illogical.
      Simple reason is: Women Divisions are nowhere near as popular as Male Divisions. Every Sport is financed through viewership, brand deals etc.
      Women Divisions simply can't compete in any of these, so there is less money to be thrown around, means the pay is adjusted to the money available.

    • @infinity002
      @infinity002 2 роки тому

      yeah I have to agree with the other guy, equal pay is asking for sexism but against the males here. The question is why does the females get paid less? ask yourself this? isn't it because women fights are less packed than men? isn't this what happened with women's football and basketball? aren't they thriving because of the bonus income from the male counterpart? and why is that? it's because the viewers are more, nothing mroe nothing less. The entertainment you provide and the people who are interested to see it provides the value.Jake Paul sold the fight for her, equal entertainment and equal viewership provides equal. pay, not gendern

      @@CedricBassman you know most women sports only issue is viewership. Like women basketball have the same endorsements, sponsorships, viewership went up a little and they make 200k in the US and in overseas they make around 500k because other countries respect women more and give them a chance compared to the US. Women boxing been out since 2012. Taylor and Serrano match this year had 1.5 mill views. They had a one mill prize purse and that was because of the girl in the video Amanda Serrano, she’s one of the most popular boxers right now which i found out doing research. And doing even more research on her though she makes around 1,000-4,000 a match possible being one of the most watched female boxers and since 2019. Saying a lot honestly. Also it depends on where you play the sport. Even though she made a mill in New York but honestly most of the money female athletes make is out of the US so I truly wonder why. Yes the viewership isn’t high but there is also so many stereotypes upon women sports in general that don’t help there viewerships. Literally being bashed over making a three in basketball or a rise ball in softball. Just in women sports people fine something to hate about it and bash any age that’s plays it. It’s not to it then viewership. And i feel like this is the reason. Literally saw people bash females for not dunking in game or air balling threes. A girl made the highest record in highschool basketball history for both genders shooting the most threes. Boys hated on her for that then a girl tried to dunk on this other girl in a highschool game. People the. trying to say she sucks because she didn’t make it then people hated on this wht girl for hitting a reverse dunk also. When women do the thing people want them to do it’s a probably do the opposite it’s a problem. In women sports they get judged for mistakes men make and judged for the good things men do. Like they are highlighted more bad than good by other men where it scare off potential watchers

    Its crazy how she earnt so little but at the same time it is unfortunately understandable because of how popular men's sports is in comparison to women's sports. I don't understand why they do have to repeatedly mention that it is 2 minutes rounds anyways as I didn't think it makes a difference for entertainment reasons.
