  • Plasti Dip is generally known to last 2-3 years and is a great way to temporarily change the color of a body part on your car. However, in my application, it has lasted over 7 years on my #Porsche 911. I suggest it to anyone who wants to try out a new color or change the color of something that doesn't get touched much. You can buy Plasti Dip here: bit.ly/plastid...

Want to see if I can easily remove the 7 year old plasti dip? Like the video. If I get 100 likes, I'll remove it in a future video!

Plastidipped my rims and emblems going on 8 years and still looks the same.

I did this same project on my 997.2. Some of the parts came off clean and in large pieces. But it was a pain in the ass to get every dot of plastidip off in the deep lines outlining the valence.

I had similar experiences with plasti dip on my cars, and my current one is a mercedes e500, its been six years now and it still looks good, and you can touch up areas to refresh the color, but don't go crazy thick 😁

Used it on my exhaust tips. Still looks great after 5 years.

Was wondering about doing it on my chrome exhaust truck exhaust tips. No issues with over heating, melting, etc?

That is a crazy amount of time. Seven years and it still looks good. If you do decide to remove it, please post that video. I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to see it. Much appreciated brother.

@Car Fanatic your very welcome. I have been on the fence for years regarding plasti dip. After watching your video, I decided to give it a try. I am trying to pick a color for my bike.

Surprisingly it survives it now if you pressure wash it as point blank range that’s a different story.

Plasti Dip for Wheels is okay if it's temporary, but wheels get too much abuse.
