@@kevintoner1851 does it cut out at full throttle or idle? If at idle you need to raise idle by ever so slightly turning in the throttle gap set screw and setting the idle slightly higher they are set a bit low from factory, if it cuts out when you are at full throttle then richen the HSN by 1/8th of a turn at a time and dol full throttle passes till it stops cutting out then richen it 1/8th of a turn more to have it slightly rich, if it cuts out midway through the throttle then richen your LSN 1/8th of a turn at a time ofcourse make sure you have a fresh glow plug, good luck.
@@adelaseeri768 I'm sure you can get it straightened out. I fly rc airplanes and the idle is alot lower than that. Does the carburetor have an idle stop adjustment screw? My airplanes do and keeps it from cutting out in the air. Might help with your car.
@adelaseeri768 did you put an Allen wrench in the hole on the centre diff case to adjust the shift points. It will take a bit to find the right setting but will work well once set. Here in Malaysia there only around 130USD for that same car cheap bit fun.
@@adelaseeri768 if there are two screws you can colour code them to make sure your not always adjusting the same screw. You don't want one screw to bind or it won't work, once you have the setting you can count the amount of turns for a starting point for future settings.
I bought the rally version of the HPS I’ve been trying to break it in but on blocks the wheels spin without any controller input have you any advice for me please🙏🏼
Yes they are supposed to spin slightly that's why it's on blocks, lower the throttle trim all the way back, it should spin slightly, tap the brakes if they spin too quick and she revs too high.
I forgot but start at factory setting which is around 2 1/2 turns on the high speed needle slowly lean it 1/8 of a turn at time and go full throttle see the line of smoke from the exhaust make sure it doesn't cut out when going full throttle, lean it out 1/8th of a turn and do full throttle passes until it cuts out going full throttle then richen the mixture 1/8th of a turn let it idle and cool down test it to make sure you can now go full throttle without cutting out if you now have full throttle then richen it another 1/8th of a turn to make sure it's slightly rich going full throttle.
It doesn't something is wrong trying to figure it out, I'll get a new plug see if I can lean it out more and I'll adjust the shift point screw more and see if that helps.
@@Yousef_sk81 I know if you broke it in correctly change the plug get a new glow plug try to lean it out to get higher rpms if it still doesn't shift then there is a Allen screw that you can loosen in the gearbox from above to get it to shift earlier.
Hell yeah this bad boy looks great. Sounds good too. Looks like its REALLY fast
Thanks! It is quite quick!
How many turns on idle screw and how many turns on the high mixture and the low mixture as it cuts out it would be much appreciated

Sounds awesome... impressive
Sure does!
That car is impressively fast. Sounds good and pulls strong but the idle sounds way hot Except when you brake.
Thank you! Yes the idle is funny cause the linkage is funny.

Ive had a HSP Camper 1/8 nitro for 12 years still holding up strong even with the .18 engine hook uo pretty quick.
That's great to hear! Yes HSP are really good cars, they might have some issues out of the box but most can be quickly resolved.

Check the throttle gap at idle. If it goes off when you press the brake, it means that it is too small.
Yes probably I'll definitely check it, thank you!
I have the same problem on the same model. It keeps closing the throttle when the brake is applied. What to do? Enrich the idle speed needle?
Open the idle screw ever so slightly maybe 1/8 of a turn and see how it is.@@reaklyf3451
@@adelaseeri768 will try it. Thank you
Your most welcome 🙂👍
Adjust from under car 2 turns out
