I'm an unconscious 16 year old idiot who randomly stumbled across someone who recommended this system and now I'm hooked. This video has opened up a lot of new perspectives and such. Thank you for this video, it was very helpful.
I do agree that you've got a person right if you're able to predict what they're going to say next, what their next problem will be, etc. I definitely think that OPS is something I'll need to learn about for a long time before I can get a good grasp on it. I'm going to slow down and stop trying to run around in circles typing myself and build from the bottom up getting my definitions straight and accepting that my point of view is biased, lol.
I'll definitely stick around and join the class once I'm an adult.

@@savosavic1222 Hi, if you're talking about cognitive personality theory, yes, I've checked out that channel. It seems pretty cool but there doesn't seem to be any.. how to put it. Foundational definitions. The definitions feel kind of floaty and all over the place and I think it's a bit too subjective for my taste -- not to say that OPS is entirely objective either, but at least in OPS they release typing videos explaining their process and how Dave and Shan can arrive at similar (if not the same) typing while being in separate rooms (allegedly). Whereas there doesn't seem to be much proof of that in cognitive personality theory, at least from the few videos I watched back then. It doesn't seem very grounded, is what I'm saying, and I'm not sure how to use the information to apply it to my life. But if you find it interesting and helpful, that's great!

It’s a brilliant finding that accurate typing comes from tracking fear in the other person, or where they run to when they’re afraid. You get the whole picture when you track the fear/safety because our sympathetic nervous system is so deeply ingrained into our biology that we are subconsciously effected by it. It’s part of our survival. As is our ego, on the other side. People do really try and convince themselves of what they need to hear to avoid the pain of identity changing. But what a feeling it is to embrace your identity, work on your weaknesses and feel progress

I’m seriously happy alone except the 2% of the time I’d like to have some company. But it’s not worth the price you have to pay the other 98% of the time so I gladly endure the 2% loneliness. I agree, typing is an intuitive process. We shouldn't type a person according to "what the person say", but according to "how people say it, and how the person react". Paying attention the substance/whole and not the form/details. (so let the high intuitive types do it)
Typing people according to their weaknesses is more efficient and fast I find. And more helpful for everyone : accepting our weaknesses is the best thing we can do to our consciousness (embrace the pain, accept the weaknesses and heal)
The method I prefer is : the IJ EP angry/stress about things or EJ IP about people - after the Introvert or Extrovert - and after the 2 biggest weaknesses (4th and 7th functions) and the 1st, and we have the whole 8 functions stack (for the 8 functions model)
It would be a fun to observe all the 16 base types in a situation which force them to use their 4th and 7th function (the 8 functions model), which cause us problems in life everytime.
Thank you for this reminder, I had already seen a similar video 1 or 2 years ago. I love when you say : "No you dumb !", "No you don't !", "You are unconscious!"🤣
We all are weird ! All humans are so weird ! Enjoy your weirdness.

9:35 Dave is an observer confirmed.
Yes, it is critical to be able to observe the subject in their natural state. When they are describing themselves to you, or even showing themselves to the world in general, they will peacock and change who they appear to be. And when it comes to the subject of extroversion and introversion, people often get confused and focus on social introversion/extroversion. The key is determining where the subject is in their element, and where they are able to relax.

My only concern with not paying attention to what the person says is that I've seen people hone in so much in "must ignore the person's words" that they railroad themselves into declaring one specific type and thus prevent themselves from learning. Some examples I've seen:
-The person being typed is constantly talking about their academic desires, and they smoothly transition from gathering to organizing information and vice-versa. They are typed as a Dominant thinker, but guess what? When you listen to what they have to say, it turns out those "academic desires" are all because they want to make their mother proud, achieve social standing, and "bring honor to my family". They may like academics, but if you pay attention, everything they do is driven by feelings and values.
-The person being typed is afraid of being labeled as a criminal and talks anxiously about experiences where they've been stuck in a social situation, so they get typed as a Dominant feeler, but when you listen to what they have to say, that fear isn't about people thinking badly about them but about going to prison and losing all their possessions. And the anxiety about that social situation, well they stated that they talked to people freely about their discomfort, so it wasn't about the people. They testified that the event wasn't about what they wanted, and since they didn't have a car, they were stuck there, unable to leave. These are single-observer fears and anxieties.
-The person being typed appears to randomly jump from subject to subject and seems quite eccentric and chaotic. They get typed as Dominant Ne, but when you hear what they have to say, they had this planned. They have plans for other chaotic things they want to do, with how long coming up with what they do and say took, and when you hear how smoothly they go back and forth on this, you can easily tell that they are very good at gathering and organizing, and when they aren't putting their persona forward, it's clear that they are a double observer.

My whole life I thought I was an extrovert but people didn’t like me for some reason, so then believing there was something wrong with me that I needed to fix. I truly believed with enough therapy I would fix myself and then everyone would like me. Well, turns out I actually just don’t like other people, but I love people so that didn’t equate. I love people in theory 😂. When I am on my own I think about people all the time and ways I can help through work or whatever. But I’d still isolate and avoid after work…well cuz again, I don’t like people and they bore/annoy me most of the time. But I fantasize about what a good, supportive, enjoyable relationship would look like. People very much like me - I’m well liked with everyone I work with, so I don’t suck with people in reality. But the forking mental effort it takes to go do that kills me. I just don’t have the energy (but I’m damn fine at faking it cuz you have to in order to not have drama and stress)

My humble suggestion is to find a group that you like, or get as close as you can out of the other options to liking that is a Ti group that types, and kind of go between them and you with people you know that are Ti people learning to type.
Literally every quadra and probably every type learns to type differently in their natural way of typing, and if they don't get to learn their natural ways first, it often supercedes the values that they should have with other values while also making them worse at typing (because it is too alien an approach), and they will have a harder time learning to type. People do best in my experience when they learn from a like minded person first how to type.
But you also want them AFTER they have a footing and know their own values to understand the values that you would give to them. People should have a stable stance and then be able to explore and learn the values and insights of other ways to type.
Maybe it's something where you'll demand you're the best and they're wrong, but even so, if you think about this, you'll see some level of what I mean and if you pursue it, you'll probably be happier and have a better time in the things you teach and do.
Either way, good luck! If you think Jack from WSS is Ti, then I'd suggest him.

im not officially typed and found i enjoyed doing the work myself. i found myself to be INTJ (no surprise, i've tested this way years ago and found it is mostly true), but within this system, i seem to be Ni Fi sc/b(p) FF. it took me a long time to get there and that's why i enjoy this system so much. first of all, it is very rich and seeks to explain the broadest diversity possible. there's no way all INTJs are the same and this system offers an explanation for that. learning the system by myself was a very enjoyable experience. secondly, and this may be an Fi POV, but i enjoyed unravelling my own behavior and observing myself. i enjoyed questioning both myself and the methodology before i agreed with anything. an example of this, INTJs can't be consume first. however, surely i consume everyday and start my day that way so that was an early point of contention for me. what helped was watching videos of others who were known to be consume first and seeing that it really wasn't the same as me. i was doing something before that, which turns out to be sleep. i was shocked my blast was third. not shocked play is last. going through the exercise repeatedly and turning every coin was a worthwhile experience, so much so, that i dont have any desire or need to be officially typed. learning and refining my own abilities to observe and classify are much more meaningful (so much Ni dorkiness)...but that is my type. others may be frustrated by the exercise. needless to say, i only type ppl who i can observe. so watching a two min clip of someone is not enough. i tend to prefer typing my coworkers who i can see and decide back and forth before settling on what their coins are (i do this continuously and have been typing them for over a year now). i'm doing this in the most SC way possible, but this silent observing and figuring out their type is very fun. i've further tested and altered my behavior and POV when i engage with them to see if i'm typing accurately (which also can't be done with a two min recording), and this yields further information if i'm on the right track. i normally hate "play" but in a work environment you have to engage with others and ive found that using these instances as opportunities for experimentation is quite fascinating. i tend to stick with what i can validate consistently over time, so i have managed to have a 80-90% confidence in their 4-letter types and have strong guesses to which animals are higher vs lower. but i still have not decided on their full type and i believe it will only happen with time. i'm the only one i can observe for the entirety of my waking hours and so it seems natural that typing others would take me longer

yes we should type people by their actual intentions and thought processes. sadly most people aren't self-aware enough. and most typists aren't good enough at reading people to see their underlying, authentic selves and not just the superficial masks. so for those who can actually 'see', or claim to, its frustrating. im not one of them tho, can't see shit. but i can understand the sentiment.
but also every type would have their own way of figuring out someone's authenticity. its the frustration of "why cant anyone else see/approach the world in the way i do???" thats why its hard to teach your own typology methods to others despite Te-ing it as much as you can. there's also the vultology people doing similar things. reading people is just not a science. yet.

@@Hyperdriveuk Well to understand my comment you would have to contrast "consume" with "blast". This is because the Objective Personality typing system works in binaries, as does reality itself. Consume and Blast are actually two sides of the same "coin".
So by definition, a Consumer is a type of person who actively gathers lots and lots of information but doesn't do much to share what they've learned. According to the typing system, Consumers lead with Di and Oe. Di just means introverted decider and Oe means extraverted observer.
Contrast this with a Blaster, who is the type of person who shares things they've learned all the time but they don't bother trying to gather any new information to shape their worldview. According to the system, Blasters lead with De and Oi, which is extraverted decider and introverted observer.
Anyway, the types of people in the comments section that are often talking out of their ass and think they know it all are the blaster dominant types who haven't bothered to consume much at all of the content on their UA-cam channel and website.

However, I worry that you may be working too hard to impose a schema onto reality that obfuscates the truth of people's psychophysiology more than it helps clarify their relationship with existence. Again, I literally smile uncontrollably when I watch you because of the sympathetic vibe I get of, like, utter zeal and fascination with Life; however, your casual lacing of your (almost) tirades (lol) with profanity and hateful words makes me suspect that you are subconsciously burrowing into a system-building endeavor that is less rooted in reality than you might think. I'm not about to, like, proselytize you here, but I would recommend studying some kind of Eastern Vedanta, Buddhist philosophy, Advaita, something like that where the self is deconstructed into a state of nothingness. Personally, I find that approach as well as the categorization of fundamental phenomena of Being to be very a moving and insightful, practice (for my own purposes); however, it is not the end of psychoanalysis, and far from the truth, nor even the path to the truth, the path to God.

hmmm lets us descripe that objetive personallity theory of yours (disclaimer( im only saw some of videos and have conitive personality theory bias so if u can descript more of your theory Id be happy to lesten)
now i find typing people by their bodey shapes and their phisical movments quite desturbing bc how can you know what is going on in persons breain just baised of asuptions that every type acts in specific way and how he speaks bc moust of that can be just relative and also i found that you can sound and act like other type for short periods seem better fit than this bc if i assume im intp i acn to to my super ego (isfp) act like one wgen im exided about some topic and im using that ( "inbalased voice like Fi") qiluite often or when i am at scool i can be sociable like esfj just bc i saw that if i acnt any other way they are going to pick on me or when i set some goal that i need to achive fast ( like getting aome grade in scool) i fall into my "shadow" (entj) and fontion like one.... so yeah if i asume that your typing is flawless youd be still wrong if u cach me in wrong situations....
edit: do you know concept of dip fontions loops blindspots etc bc mbti for most part is big 5 with different letters and also i don't know what you mean by sentance this isn't mbti and this isn't astrology bc if u assume that is mbti and astrology same things ( mbti can be looked like astrology if u like that way but DOESENT mean it is) you didn't grasp in concept in same way and also MBTI is best starter for getting into personality theoris and letting ppl in your project or CPT and others...

Convince me - is extroverted function procedure. Introverted function make stuff up - from experience.
And when extroverted function is convinced, it tries to force the same rule to everybody. For the sake of cooperation.
That is why Tes want everybody to follow the same procedures on how to solve problems and Ses want maps and statistics. Nes want to spread same beliefs and Fes want everybody to do the same thing - within their "class"

This is the equivalent of some sensor (ESTP) trying to teach some intuitive (INTP) how to play basketball. We have to accept not every type is going to be good at typology and you shouldn't be frustrated at that. Typology is suppose to make you aware of that fact. So just put the information out there, relax, and move on.

Hey Dave go you guys goooooo!!! Yeah I’m probably the ESFP magic Ni demon jumping CSBP that you typed me as… Joyce thinks I’m an ENFP which would also have put me in your blind spot. But either way, I’m running two different multispheres as both types and it’s kind of fun like low key like hmmm I might be this type, but maybe I’m this type. The whole if you followed someone around with a camera for a week thing works. We all do everything…. What do we have hours per week that you are doing every week. 😂😊😊😊 it works. Also, you’re tools are getting amazing!!!!! Go guys go!!! I’m so proud of you guys!!! Yeah scientific community, you guys are doing your homework. Alllllll of the sensory feelings right up in here. Man, I wonder what will happen to you when you like fully integrate at the highest level. Like, are you going to be able to fly and bend time? I’m sort of serious 😂maybe. Either way, Dave and Shan and all of your team damn like wow, you’re putting in the work. Peace!!!

That didn't take long. Two episodes ago, Dave was openminded. Now he's back to his old closed-minded negativity. Here's a quote from this video:
"[D]on’t listen to people’s liar words. They’re very unconscious… Can we talk about… the negative?... you’re an abusive, crazy… ass, and everybody in your life is fucking annoyed at you…. [you're] playing the lie to yourself game... [you've] been lying to [yourself your] whole life.”
Isn't it obvious that people might resist Dave's feedback because it comes from that closed-minded and negative worldview? And isn't it telling that this judgemental guy Dave is a personal growth guru?! Society blames individuals, and so individuals get defensive, then along comes Dave to blame individuals for being defensive. He's society's cruel enabler. This has been pointed out to Dave and Shan numerous times, and they just keep fighting against individuals on behalf of deluded society.

I see their style more like “cutting corners” and jumping to the more let’s get over of all that polite Fe bs and just cut to the chase. Of course it’s causing people to resist and start get defensive. I personally can just ignore that and not take it so personally as I see this in myself a lot. I just want to move on and make things happen, and to not waste time and energy by circulating on with clear things that will be clear to everybody at the end too.
It’s bit like if we were looking at something in a far distance and I’d say it’s a X-thing and you’d insist it’s a Y-thing. Rather than staying at the spot and “argue” about that, why not just go closer to see what it is. I know people crave validation for their feelings and that is important to give too. But sometimes it’s just tiring to do that “pointless” work, when I’ve seen and been there to look and confirm that the thing is X, so many times. Of course I give it chance to be Y-thing too, but the point being more on that can’t we just move on and see what it is.

20 dollars a month is an absolute crime against humanity for a service that gives quite literally nothing. Hell I mean spotify already charges 10 a month which is already criminal but hey at least it has good music, your service is heavily overpriced. If you actually really want to make money wouldn't you go the advertiser route to expand and play your cards right? It's hard to believe this actually makes money. Knowledge should be free and not have this cult like following with doctrines and all.
