As we know how good Mike is on the steel, but he would be lost without that KILLER bass player and singer in his show, or maybe it Mike plays in Joannie's show , whichever they are both awesome. Don't ever step away from that great old country music we love.....Keep it up for us............2020
Joanie doing a great job, she has the corner on the market for a steel backup. Mike is one of the best I've heard in years and is on top of the stack. I've heard a lot in my 68 years playing the Steel and none any better than Mike.
He sure is fantastic on that steel James! My 60 some years a playing has always been on the non-pedal however, I do love the sounds of the pedal especially tuned in Nashville E9. Mike has it mastered.
@@riodosa40 He is also an expert on the C6 neck. I started out on the lap steel and was excited when I got a double neck Fender with 8 on each neck. I was playing on WVOK. I stopped for a lot of years then picked it back up with petals around 1970. I played under my middle name Floyd Lowery.
unison up on 1st and 2nd, those I really need on my universal 12.....those are pedal changes on steel guitars for those who see this, for you pedal guys, well, you get it. That 4th pedal is I think the "Franklin" change according to the forum. B and G# down a full step (both Bs)
I hope that wasn't in sarcasm, I was answering to another post on here. Some folks who see these posts don't know we're talkin' pedals after all....and, yeah I think Mike gets it!
Mike, what guitar are you playing? The emblem looks like an emmons emblem, but the guitar is black. I know you have the red push pull, and the Franklin. What guitar is this? And by the way, you two are a major class act. Need to get in Nashville more often. The guy who drives in from Louisville KY, for one reason and that is to listen to you two. God bless you both.
It’s the red Emmons push-pull that he’s playing here. It just looks black because of the lighting on the video. I first thought it was black as well, but noticed when someone took a picture and the camera flashed, that it was indeed the red guitar.
Wow, this is the first time I've heard her sing. I'm so impressed. I love the things I find on You Tube.

It has been a long time since a player like Mike has satisfied my steel music needs. Great job Mike -----
Wow, great job all around. Nice vocal, a great pedal steel, especially the solo and also very nice guitar. Thanks for a great performance.
Joanie ---great!!!!
Still can't get over how you seemingly never age........
I think Mike is the best Steel player of all time, and that is saying a lot. I have heard Lloyd Green and Buddy Emmons as well.
joanie has a good voice steel guitar not bad neither good music thanks for sharing
Mike is something on the steel. I like the way he puts it together. From Huntsville, Alabama!
I think Mike is from Montgomery or Prattville, Alabama
I wrote my remark incorrectly 🤪 I was referring to me being from Huntsville, Alabama. I will blame it on the virus 💉
@@riodosa40 That's cool. I'm from Birmingham and I am a retired steel picker. Mike is one of the best.
