Jeannie Seely Singing "Makes Me Wonder If I Ever Said Goodbye"

Jeannie Seely recorded the Mickey Newbury song "Makes Me Wonder If I Ever Said Goodbye" for her 2011 CD titled "Vintage Country", and sings it here for a taping of "Country's Family Reunion". "Mickey is one of the most incredible songwriters of our time," notes Jeannie. "I got to know him very well, and I can still picture him writing those haunting, poignant songs on the back of his houseboat at Anchor High Marina in Hendersonville." Johnny Rodriguez had a No. 2 country hit with this song in 1976 titled as "I Wonder If I Ever Said Goodbye".

Why are there no voices like this anymore. It seems all the female “country “ singers have high pitched or whiny voices.
