i don't care if the ending didn't change much of the story. seeing moon's final message from sky island's communication arrays as the camera pans up and shows the clouds is enough to make a grown slug cry.
instead of Sundown playing in the Spearmaster credits, Moondown plays instead. When i noticed that on my 2nd playthrough i literally widened my eyes, stared at the computer with the most baffled face ever, and just watched the names scrolling past.
Everyone wrote about spearmasters ending, my fav moment of the game was when this played atop the tallest tower. A wordless, sad meditation with the whole world beneath you
my emotional ass was weeping . I've been in the rain world community for 5 years, and this very moment sparked something in me . boom, tears everywhere. spearmaster was my favorite campaign :'p
I can't stop coming back to this piece. It's one of the best in the game... The way it feels so sorrowful and yet not remorseful, it perfectly describes Moon and her fall.
i honestly think the claim that this ending didn't change anything to be false i honestly believe that if the final message wasn't sent then NSH wouldn't create hunter
Holy christ, so i’m struggling as Gourmand trying to climb that dam wall and then I see all of you lads being more advanced and having this fire music 💀 I am NOT ready for what’s to come, this music sends you to another dimension, dear god
I can imagine this being the sound of the communication arrays broadcasting. That last message ringing in Spearmaster's ears, incomprehensible yet completely understandable in what it means; Suns has failed. Moon will fall. And Moon has accepted her random fate. Maybe even has before Pebbles got sick. Being older, she probably expected her systems to degrade first. She just didn't anticipate it to come so soon.
Bro why does the ost start off with the most heart wrenching tracks 😭😭 I FEEL SO BAD FOR MOON IT’S INSANE. I WANT HER TO BE HAPPY!! I can really feel her pain in this song, it’s so depressing
just beat spearmaster and dang this song with how the ending goes hits hard. Almost cried while looking at the transmission while this played on the background, Spearmaster has become one of my favorite campaigns after this.
even if I didnt know what part of rainworld this is (or even if this was from rw) I would still cry its just so ... EMOTIONAL I just want to hug moon ):
spoilers for spearmaster campaign this ost plays at the spearmasters campaign ending, when you finally deliver moons message to the communication arrays
You never know until you see it, yes, Downpour peaked Iterator lore and everything related to them, but The Watcher can have a complete different concept
This hits harder than an iterator structure falling on your head.
Idk man, that hits ya pretty hard.

I'm sorry to say this, but this was honestly the most unsatisfying ending of all.
@@laff__8821 why? it's literally your mission since the first cycle to just go and deliver a pearl to an iterator.

now i have to check this myself
Woah, that's so cool! I'll have to keep an ear open next time i do a SM campaign, i usually skip the credits lol

yet another variation of digital sundown, very fitting with the moment in which it plays

Clever
That migh be the case
The point is that the ending didn't change anything about the original game's plotline.

This isn't even the peak of the downpour story, and yet I know, there is no way that the next dlc will top it.
