I did not quite hated them(probably cuz I got a quidence on how to swim ) but yeah it's only after I finished most of campaigns I started to enjoy swimming in this game

Climbing up through moons memory conlux when I first explored SS as survivor and hearing the main theme kick in was such a powerful moment, I felt the same way I did when reaching general systems bus for the first time.
@@NamePending878 well, senery's got a point, in the game itself the acronyms are a little wacky, DM stands for Depths of Moon which is Spearmaster's Looks to the Moon, SS stands for Superstructure in all campaigns is actually the Five Pebbles region, MS is Moon Superstructure, which is her collapsed superstructure that you can find below shoreline after spearmaster and artificer's campaign.
The reverse is also very true. Going through her memory arrays as spearmaster, and then seeing the same rooms after the collapse while this plays was... a lot...
i'm so glad i went through the difficult path so i could enter from memory conflux and listen to this (even though i had already heard it on submerged superstructure)
Before I stated playing Downpour I imagined this track to play near the conclusion of this game, in the last campain, far ahead on the timeline. In the region that used to be Memory Crypts, but now has been replaced by giant, dark, almost devoid of life unrecognisable pile of scrap. With this music dinamically adjusting to your progress as you head more to the east. With the Sundown motif starting playing when you sudenly enter the very last screen to the east of this region. On this screen on all this junk jard sits puppet of Pebbels. Dead, with his vibrant colors turned into mix of black and grey, while facing the ground in sitting position with closed eyes.
While Moondown felt like a slow dying whimper of a failing machine, this song instead sounds like staring at the result of a catastrophe and the corpse of a long-dead god. Moon's end was a slow fade, Pebble's end an instant tragedy and reduced pebbles to almost nothing.
Quite the opposite: Pebbles was falling apart piece by piece, and was still very much so alive while it happened, while moon had collapsed and was left comatose. While you can only truly see the aftermath of those events, pebbles state during Rivulet does have some of his pieces missing.

Left alone. Pebbles had voluntarily shut down all of his communications, because he didn't want to burden anyone else with what he saw as exclusively his problem. Then, when he finally decided to ask for help, he was too far degraded to contact anyone, isolating him. Moon had staved off contacting Pebbles for too long, and when she finally used forced comms, she had unintentionally interrupted him during his most vulnerable state, which resulted in the creation of the rot. Pebbles then tried to eradicate the rot as soon as possible, further depleting the already limited water that Moon had, causing her collapse and the comatose state that followed. Both of them took too long to reach out, and that resulted in their communications being destroyed or otherwise unreachable.

Even though it's one of Moon's themes, I think it would also be a good fit for The Rot region, near Pebbles' chamber Because of condition he's in, + also because of the name Random Gods and Random Fate Kinda like a cycle 🤔 Absolutely geat theme
i also think this was a total wasted opportunity. Either the Rot or Silent Construct. Just this immense scale of tragedy and loss. Pebbles may have been the more unpleasant and difficult to deal with of the two iterators, but his demise is explored much more thoroughly and so his story is easier to sympathise with. Moon's drama always felt a little forced, especially putting this track in submerged, it's like the devs said "Moon is SAD. We like Moon. Be SAD now." Probably doesn't help that the way this stuff happens is handled so differently too. Moon's semi-dead state is in a brightly lit, calm setting, she's calm and stable. Even gets visits from scavs, for whatever that's worth. Pebbles, on the other hand, is stuck in a dark prison of rot, with nothing but a pearl with one song on it to pass time. And when he does eventually fall, his state is MUCH worse than that of Moon. And she gets to make a decent recovery, while Pebbles is stuck in his personal hell up there, on the ruins of what used to be his body, without proper cognitive function. I'm now realising that i was rambling to no one about something that doesn't matter, but it felt good to put my thoughts into words
@@lred1383 Yes, totally agreed! I mean, I like Moon and I used to hate Pebbles tbh, but after the DLC I started to feel sorry for him. This soundtrack has a powerful emotional impact. Dying, last cry for help, feeling of hopelessness. Moon is more wise and facing the danger more calmly. Pebble, on the other hand, is scared and lonely. He made a lot of mistakes, he pushed everyone away when he needed help, and eventually he realised it, but it's too late now. I agree that Random Fate could play in Silent construct, too, but still feels like The Rot would be the best place for it. Because Silent construct is meant to be silent. Dead.

If it was placed maybe as you get near the Heart, as a sort of bittersweet moment as you fufill Pebbles' last wish to help Moon, it would be perfect. Even then I feel it would have been awesome to have this song play in that MASSIVE room as you reach pebbles. Theres no General Systems Bus to visit anymore so having this play instead would have been perfect.

People say that this sounds like the theme of a tragedy, but I disagree. This sounds like you're meeting with a great presence, like you've climbed up a mountain to meet a god. Compared to Random Gods, that sounds like you've stumbled into somewhere you shouldn't be. THAT sounds like the theme of a tragedy, as if the structure is struggling to breathe or speak.
If I remember correctly it, or at least something that sounds similar, is played in the upper areas of the submerged superstructure, right below the ruined memory arrays, same room as an entirely submerged big monster
